    About this Mantra:
    * This Mantra appears in Mandala-2, Sukta-21, Mantra-1 of Rigveda and is addressed by Rishi Grutsamada to Lord Indra.
    * This chant praises Indra for wealth and good fortune, and is rendered in many auspicious occasions.
    * These Rig Veda Mantras are recited as per the method followed in Tamil Nadu, India.
    Meaning of this Mantra:
[1] Please bring Holy sweet Soma Juice in honour of Lord Indra - who is the grand conqueror, the Lord of wealth, the Lord of light, Victor forever, the Lord of land, the Lord of Horses, the Lord of Cows, the Lord of Water. By doing so, we also enjoy happiness in our life.
[2] Offer your respectful prayer to Indra, who sweeps and breaks down, liberal in giving and never defeated, disposes all, the mighty voiced, very strong creator, and lauded by all.
[3] I proclaim the heroic deed of Indra, who is the victor of many, who is loved by all men, easily defeating enemies, deleting the foes, warrior, satisfied with Soma Juice, fulfilling others needs, making enemies low, and honoured by all.
[4] Indra, an incomparable philanthropist, with strong mind, who never yields, who slay and upset cruel foes, the deep and vast, person of unattainable wisdom, who speeds the good, brings joy and gave birth to light (Sun) in Dawn.
[5] The Sages, who sing Vedic Hymns, fond of Indra, possessing wisdom, through the sacrifice, (Yajna) learned the way from Indra, (who speeds the floods) to locate the place where theft Cows and Wealth were kept. By getting the help of Indra, through their worship with Hymns, they won the Cows and the Wealth.
[6] O Indra, bestow on us, the best treasures. Bestow us with strong mind and good fortune. Bestow us, the strong body and increase in wealth. Bestow us with good charm of sweet speech and let every day be a pleasant one to live.

How does chanting a praise get wealth?
What is the mechanism for that?
Has any study been done to measure how much wealth that is generated by how many times of chanting?
It may sound bad to you, but this is the need of the present times. Blind faith has no place.
I have very much doubt that parrot like repetition of someone's praise can yield results.

    • @User-rs6ln
      @User-rs6ln Před rokem +1

      You are totally right.
Unfortunately the self-certified "teachers" don't understand anything themselves.
Hyms (let's take this common word) are not only 1 type.
Sukta - Su_ukta means positive sayings (ode). These hyms describe the characteristics of something/someone/some incident.
If we understand the mechanism and meaning according to the present times (very important, not meaning at the time of 5000 years ago when this was made), we can achieve the desired results.
The results come from understanding, not from parrot like chanting.
There are some mantras that are only sounds like "AUM" (not OM, it has 3 sounds not 2). These can benefit because of the effect of the sound on the human brain and central nervous system and open up other non-physical senses.
Then, there are some hyms in vedas that are suktas but with coded phrases, chanting of which in a meter can attune the mind to a particular style of functioning which yields the results.
The job of the meter (chhandas) are to focus the mind on the mission.
Without understanding, only parrot like repetition does not focus on anything and so, it does not yield any result.
Also, one must understand that due to change in times, some mantras are no longer relevant.

The word Indra etymologically means owner. So it is basically referring to Paramatma here and not to Shachipati Indra. But the ghanapati is misunderstanding it to Indra, the husband of Shachi.

    • @User-rs6ln
      @User-rs6ln Před rokem +2

@@nishanthprabhuk4704 All the Indian names (Sanskrit and derived therefrom) are basically adjectives. There is really no noun such as English names Jim, Tim, Tom etc.
The confusion about scriptures arises because people take the names to be of a particular person rather than a quality.
Indra mentioned in different scriptures is not the same person. Most likely it is a post like Prime Minister of today. As you said, the word means "owner". So, any "CEO/Founders" or similar people of that era were called Indra.

The Indra here refers to pramatma (Simple example The word Eeshwara in Bhagavad geeta. There Eeshwara= Eeshana sheelaha NaarayaNaha (VishNu)as mentioned by all aacharyas in their bhaashyas and Eeshwara there is not parvatipati. Here I am pointing at the geeta bhaashya of Adi Shankaracharya above. Similarly, Indra refers to Paramatma(the supreme soul) and not to Indra of Amaravati. Madhwaacharya also clearly confirms the same). The etymological meaning is important. It is not Shachi pati Indra. Ghanapaatis nowadays do not understand this sadly.

As per upanishad indra is a pad or post different In manvantars, there soul/core energy is same which called indriya shakti, consist of 10% rudra, 40% brahma, 50% of vishnu. His consort is always considered as partial incarnation of Mahadevi in present manuvantar it is laxmi's partial incarnation Suchi. Due to this core/ soul energy indra get duties of rule or administrative activities. As per agams indra is shrestha deva lord of all beings as king, vishnu is lord of all being as manifestation of self, who own the ownership. Also 1st manuvantar indra was dharma quarter avtar (partial avtar) of shree vishnu.

Reasons for the downfall of vedic Dharma
    1. Saying that vedas are apuruseya. Humans cannot do anything about it.
Fact: Every part of vedas is associated with a rishi. They were humans.
    2. Parrot like repetition.
Fact: Mere copy-paste serves no purpose, one needs to understand the mechanism of how mantras work.
    3. Propagating false beliefs that the mantras were "heard" by sages from the "God".
Fact: Language has been developed by humans. Sanskrit is a great language that was developed for a purpose. Stupid people took over the teaching without even understanding what it is.
    4. All mantras are same.
Fact: Most of the mantras in vedas are description of something. Understanding a description helps, not parrot like repetition.
    5. Nothing about the vedic mantras can be changed.
Fact: Vedas nowhere mentioned that you should upload mantras to CZcams. Still you are doing it. Obviously they can be and should be changed according to the age.
Else, they will become obsolete and they have.
    Note:
Before abusing me, all the self-certified gyanis of Dharma should keep their knowledge of sanskrit up to the mark. Else, I will catch you napping.
