Ignis had gear shift lag which is on your face and you feel the pull and push as soon as it shifts.
Grand i10 was smooth as butter, better insulation. Both speed and agility has bit of latency and gradually responds unlike ignis. this feature i personally prefer, as im a new to driving.. felt more confident in it vs. ignis.

Tirth Pandya absolutely agree with u Ignis is one of the worst looking car from Maruti. But the cars like Eeco and Ritz are on top of the list.
Avishek Kushwaha but Eeco is actually projected towards the business class people of the society who could use the car for family as well as Transporting purposes.
while Ritz was a sheer mistake for styling and should have been rectified in the Facelift like done by Honda for the old Jazz , but Maruti could not make it right , so Ritz was not so successful.
whereas Ignis is much like depending on a person's choice ,
some may like it, some may not
Tirth Pandya if you could connect with some of the ritz owners. You would come to know in terms of handling agility and comfort it was far superior than swift or any other car in that price bracket. It was just the quirky design that didn't worked in its favour.
Ignis base model is worth commendable you get all features ABS EBD DUAL AIRBAGS @ 4.5 lac. Thats a commendable job from MS.

IGNIS HAS ODD REAR LOOK BUT GREAT GROUND CLEARANCE (180MM). IF THEY FIX
STAPNEY ON THE REAR DOOR IT WILL HIDE THE ODD LOOKS AND LOOK LIKE MINI SUV.
In 2019 ABS is going to be mandatory in all cars.
That means they must make it standard in all trims. Maruti has already started doing it. In grand i10 ABS is available only in top end Alpha model where as in Ignis ,Baleno and Dzire ABS is standard.
Sooner or later Hyundai is going to make ABS and EBD standard across the trims. I think from 2019 cars with abs is going to get better resale value.
So Maruti models are more value for money.
भाई इग्निस के बेस वेरिएंट के हिसाब से बताओ दूसरी किसी मे मिलता है क्या इतना सब इतने पैसे में ? सभी टॉप वेरिएंट को लेकर क्यो बताते है टॉप वेरिएंट में डेढ़ से 2 लाख का फर्क होता है जो काफी कार लेने वालों के लिए मायने रखता है इतना पैसा इस तरह के कम्पेरिजन से नया कार लेने वाला ज्यादा कन्फ्यूज हो जाता है इग्निस बेस वेरिएंट में म्यूजिक सिस्टम को छोड़ कर सब है जो चाहिए होता है अच्छी और सेफ्टी वाली कार में और ये सब कम कीमत पर मिल रहा है इंजन इसका टेस्टिड है मारुति के अन्य मॉडलों में तो कोई शक की गुंजाइश नही मारुति आज वेगनआर बंद कर दे तो इग्निस सबसे ज्यादा बिकने वाली कार बन जाएगी सिर्फ इग्निस ही है इस समय टोल बॉय में सेफ्टी फीचर से लैस और स्पेस बड़े टायर। आदि वेगनआर से बहतर है इसमे आने वाले समय मे ABS , EBD सबको जरूरत महसूस होगी ट्रैफिक बढ़ता जा रहा है तो ब्रेकिंग बेस्ट आवश्यकता बन जाती है
hyundai grand i10 come with abs only in asta not even in AT transmission but ignis come as standard abs that u should mention sir, the as compare in safety ignis is best option

What is service cost nd mileage..?
ankit jaiswal bought ignis. Maintenance is low. 25000 Rs for 5 years if you follow the schedule of maruti. Mileage is decent, I have a 1.2 petrol.
I own i10 it's awesome I will recommend to buy i10 than the ignis.
I have both, Grand i10 and Ignis but we could Call Grand i10 as mini innova in terms of reliability and comfort
Ignis is a very tall feature loaded and smooth car......I've bought the alpha top model BS6 version for my wife
Just coming to the rear seat, does the adjustable headrest not make a difference? I'm just enquiring, because should not that be one of the criteria? As to for some tall like 6 feet would find it tiresome to lie back and low with the neck stretched?
Ashish sir, You did not compare the safety features like ABS with EBD and Dual airbags, is safety is not that important.
They both have same safety kit. Ashish mentioned in features. Maybe you should go to our site and check their NCAP data and more.

I do not accept your opinion regarding 4 speed gearbox not good.
Because 4 speed require lesser shifting of gears means lesser jerks.
But in case of ignis there are large number of jerks when shifting the gears resulting into uncomfortable and delayed pickup.
I am user of Grand i10 automatic and I realised this.
Therefore I purchased Grand i10 automatic and "not ignis" or any other car having 5 gears in automatic.
Automatic car purchase assessment is altogether different than conventional drivers.

Sir, I am using old zen (2001 model ) which I drive myself with my family of 5. I am thinking to change my car which has already crossed 51000 km. Plz help me to choose the car. My usage is mainly in city (kolkata) with 250-270 km per month. Was thinking for Tiago (due to price-output ratio), but now totally confused as I will use the new car for at least 10 yrs. Sir i have also took test drive of Tiago and ignis after which i decided on Ignis , Tiago is a 3 cylinder engine and has is 200 kg more heavier than Ignis, so riding please of Ignis is good when compared to Tiago and tata after sales service is also you need to consider.

It feels good to watch review of a car that u own or can buy.
I have always felt more comfortable on Hyundai I don't know its due to low to nil sound levels or the extra comfy seats inside or the smooth engine or the soft suspension feels you can sleep after few minutes..its so much comfortable. Been on long rides on both suzukis and Hyundai no doubt suzuki is also good but i can assure you for long rides Hyundai is better

In 2014 i dropped idea to buy i10 grand over ritz, ritz was better in every terms. And still after 75000kms i proud on my ritz
Among the both which has the best AC performance during peak summers of 40+ temperature.

Grand i10 is a very stable car on highways.. 120-130 kph speed is very manageable.. Go fr it

m sharath i hvseen more santro rusted then 80s maruti so quality of steel and trating process of japnese and korians we can guess
Ignis and Baleno have thicker metal plates than Dzire. That said they still have less gauge thickness than Swift (last gen). But Maruti has made chassis with a few tweaks and these cars are infact safer than Swift (last gen). So no worries. Safety is assured.
Also metal rust is not about thickness, but about grade of metal. Light weight alloy always have less rust. Yeah thin metal can get dent but its cheaper and easy to repair and replace.

Hyundai is better than Suzuki in all its aspects. As you can see, you can see Hyundai cars world wide, like Toyota, Nissan. But Suzuki is hard to find. Suzuki lost most of the global markets, just because of it is not meeting the safety requirements. And Hyundai have quiet stronger chassis than Suzuki. And grand i10 base model rated better stars than ignis base model, in the safety impact test, even ignis have ABS and EBD and Airbags as standard.

Of course the design is no good including front grill, lamp and rear light. The design of rear lamp show it narrow in width.
