- In today's video, I am working with my son, Jonas, and we are tackling a packed patio for free to help out fellow CZcamsr, Mira, from Peeling Away the Clutter. The city provided a free dumpster and we filled it to overflowing with, not only stuff from her patio, but also branches from trees and other bags of weeds and grass trimmings. Thank you to Lisa and Daniel who helped so much with the yard cleanup.

Hello: I clean my filters by spraying them out with the air compressor. Loved seeing your son. He is such a good help to you.
Can you use the blower feature with the filter out? That would be the best way.

Yes, we have those in Washington state. I’ve heard all three names but we usually call them potato bugs. I’ve also heard them being called sow bugs around here. (Sow like a female pig.) 🤷🏻♀️
Hi, we here in Eastern Washington, call them rolly pollys. I've never heard of the other names for them. Being younger, we would play with them, as soon as you touch them, they would roll up! Such fun days of our youth! ☺️🫂🌹🦋
Your son is amazing! The fact that he actually physically and mentally helped you and Mira speaks volumes! COUGH! COUGH!!😳 Lisa & Daniel were a DYNAMIC duo! They did an excellent job clearing out that yard! Bonnie! You are a true friend to help others when they just can't help themselves! I hope Mira sets up a system to hire lawn maintenance so it doesn't get away from her. That is all part of being a responsible homeowner! Diatomaceous Earth is a powder that Mira can spread around her patio to keep bugs out. It's earth, people and pet friendly.
In the meantime, put the table over the uneven patio to save from tripping. It may not be perfect placement, but it would be better than a broken bone. 💙

My husband works a full-time job and then teaches part-time, so he's very busy and isn't able to help a lot, but he has been in a couple of my videos where I had him help me on a weekend to move some stuff for family and he's also in a couple of my yard work videos that I did just for fun. My oldest son is in one of my early videos helping to clean carpets in a house. Then I have two videos where I'm working with my daughter. So, they have all been featured in my videos at one point or another, though none of them are too keen on being filmed, but they will do it for me. 😁

Second, I saw Remi Clog wash her Hoover filters and thought, ok, you kooky gal. A week later my vacuum went kaput. I washed the filter and it vroomed back to life, good as new! Who knew? Well, Remi knew. That's who. Love her so much.

Sow bugs where I live. Beautiful job on the patio! Love the chest. A barn broom or leaf rake for the leaves, then a leaf blower for the left over debris would make your life so much easier!! I got one this year, and LOVE it! LOL, I'm still watching, the guy did bring a leaf blower, wonderful. Yes, I have a mountain of sticks in my back field and if I didn't think I would start the entire woods on fire I would do it lol. (Also, not a pyro.) Glad you're supporting Mack with burnout. I think it may be helpful for both of you. You both deal in impossible situations that people are living in, I can't imagine how hard that is. Bravo to both of you, you are stronger than most of us.

I hope that nice wood chest gets moved inside where it won't take any more damage! The spots on the wood are probably from exposure. I _personally_ wouldn't sell anything that had been sitting outside for several years since it might have mildew or damage even if it's hard to see.
I can't imagine what she was thinking when she put a beautiful wood chest out in the elements.

I wash my with water and let it dry thoroughly. It’s best to have two filters to swap out
I shake off my filter really good, then I use my air compressor to blow it off. But, I still get a face full of dust. Bonnie, the fact that you want to start random bonfires makes me like you even more!😂🔥☄
I piled up a nice size twig dome about 4 ft high in my back yard and I thought, wow this could burn up super quick, but it was not contained, so no can do, Lol, so ya, I get ya Bonnie! 😊

....ahhh...the little black bugs. We call them Sow Bugs and they're everywhere where we live. I just found out they're not insects...they're crustaceans. They survive in high humidity and consume dead plant material. So, that explains why I always find them on the edge of the yard down in the grass roots next to the cement drive. All of you running around the back yard reminded me of my grandmother. She would have said "Many hands make light work". I think it's wonderful.
My kids are 50, 47, and 43. They've all done service projects. Right now, my older grandson is building houses in W. Virginia as a service project. I volunteer at 3

Utah is very dry. It's really easy for small fires to get out of control and turn into wildfires.

Hello Bonnie! I am from Germany, and we call these bugs "Kellerassel", which roughly translates to basement crawler. We think they're very beneficial. I moved to Luxembourg a few years back and our place barely had anything: biodiversity, insects, birds... I started seeing these bugs 2 years ago after doing a lot of work to attract critters, and I was super happy about it! Now earth worms, ladybugs and butterflies moved in and my garden looks like a natural place 😍 thank you very much for helping Mira and entertaining me, and greetings from Luxembourg 🇱🇺

Yes. They were pretty fun to catch and put in a bottle. I think many pill bugs died in bottles, unfortunately, even though we put grass and leaves in there and poked holes in the top. Those poor little guys.😪😊

The hourglass shape on a spiders' thorax represents a Brown Recluse Spider. That IS a Black Widow Spider... they have White or Red dots on their backs.
They look like the same little creatures we have here in our backyard in Brazil (Sao Paulo State). They like humid places. I loved to play with them when I was a kid cause they curl themselves into tiny balls when touched. I still like to have them around. They are cute and harmless. We call them "Little Tatu" (Tatuzinho). Edit: they live in the garden cause they eat plants.
I think they're pretty cute, too. I'm pretty sure every kid collected them at one time or another. 😁

Spiders are very clean creatures and help keep other insects away, because they are predators. If you dont want them in your house, remove them in a glass and put them outside, but try not to kill them.

So I’m from the province of Quebec, Canada (remember that one time where you wondered what « QC » meant in a comment? It’s Quebec!) and it’s the French-speaking part of Canada. We call those bugs « Cloporte » or « bibitte à patate » (translates to potato bug).
Filters are easy lightly tap on a hard surface like a pole and use compressed air or a leaf blower.
Leaf blower usually takes 2 people, air compressor only needs 1 person. Added bonus the deep narrow pockets in the filter really get cleaned out.
I've been cleaning my own drywall, concrete, wood etc. messes for years from oscillating multi tools and rotary hammers to general site clean up.

I put the filter in my dishwasher. It comes out really clean
You might want to tell Jonas - and maybe yourself 😉 - that without spiders we wouldn't be able to live on this earth. We literally wouldn't be able to breath due to the huge amount of insects filling the air (a biologist said so in a documentary about spiders). Spiders are very usefull, they get rid of a lot of insects! Yes, I love spiders and yes, where I live we don't have any venomous spiders 😅
😂 I remember when my stepson swept for the first time he was using it sideways, so instead of the long edge gathering a whole line of dirt, he was using the short edge of the bristles, barely gathering any dirt at all. 😂

In the UK we call them woodlice, and down my end of the country I grew up calling them chucky pigs, not sure way. Their scientific classification is Isopod

I keep a few filters so I keep going. When done use my compressor to blow them out later. It works really well but very dusty. Be sure to wear a mask.

I see snow shovels being used. They are great for removing trash. They are a lifesaver for me when I get brave enough to clean my basement. 😊
