Great video quality, smooth bokeh and depth of field. This is how macro should be done. Very impressed with clean shots and editing. Clean workbench and set.
Got ours today.. am still a bit confused it always shows 5 Star air quality.. afraid it doesn’t work :/
Watched his review of Eve Room V1.0 and was very thorough and convinced me to hold off on purchase. Glad he put up review for V2 and currently awaiting to order item once released to the wild (this video actually informed me V2 was actually announced and even being released). Very detailed and technical, especially listing the multiple features and unbiased review. This is how review vlog should be like. Keep up the good work my dude. Wait... they are coming out with an eve smart lock?
This is quite inaccurate review: eve room doesn’t have WiFi and only connects via Bluetooth. The obvious consequence is that no automation will ever really work unless you’re close enough to connect your phone via Bluetooth to the device. Even if you’ve set your HomePod or appleTV as home hub, it won’t update any of the sensors readings unless you connect with the phone.
What is then the point of it? Why are you misleading people into thinking they can purify the air automatically.
Is this really happening?? I have the onvis sms1 which is via Bluetooth and has temperature and humidity sensor. I can see the temperature changing from time to time enemy when I am not home but the humidity not so much and had the same question!! I think maybe it connects via Bluetooth with your Apple TV 4K and you can have this automations?!!
Air quality: 1st generation measures only VOC. 2nd generation measure only particles.
Which air purifier are you using that is homekit enabled? Or are you using homebridge?
Currently there are no air purifier that are HomeKit enabled that I am aware of but you could buy a smart plug from eve Elgato and hook it up to this device to get the automation
FYI - If anyone plugs in the power cable and you still get the signal to plug in the device with the leaf. Then click the reset button for 5-10 seconds and then it will click on and start charging and change the screen image.
Do devices like this send you info even when you are not home? Also what factors is the “air quality” rating based upon?

I’d like to track the high and low temperature each day. Is there a way to track/export that in the app or is it limited to exporting all the readings?
Well you can see at a glance the high and low readings for the day in the graph, but otherwise they only allow you to export the full list of data. I'm sure you could export this into a spreadsheet that would automatically extract the high and low from the dataset.

My eve room is in a room with a xiaomi air purifier pro with the best filter. But the eve room says there is poor air quality. I dont trust the eve room.
Only 6 weeks for each battery charge ? Version one is hanging on my wall for over one year now and still got 80-90% left. So with the prize being pretty high what’s the benefit of Version two? Is it only air quality?
Too bad it’s bluetooth. I have the eve button and the range is very poor. I might not buy a lot of the elgato eve products
