    Hi Femke.. I like how you explain your team's process for coming up The Stories feature. The Stories feature are so overused in most of the apps that we use today, but I like how you all arrived at this concept without obviously picking this concept.. if that makes sense 😅 all the best

    I'm wondering, is the MVP based on assumptions, or did you also performed research upfront? And if so, what types of research did you perform and how did you come to the problem statement? 😊

    Super helpful content Femke! I'm a junior designer trying to learn more about quantifying impact, so I just wanted to ask how did you know that the increase in orders came from your project and not some other variable (e.g. aggressive discount promotions)?

    1. At what point of time did you start documenting these and how do you go about it? How long did it take to make this case study presentation
    2. How and when did you measure the impact after shipping the feature ?

      Hey! I created this presentation specifically for an internal presentation. As for impact, it can depend on the experiment timeline as this can vary per project. For this one I think it was 6 weeks.

    So impressive! I have two questions, how long did you spend on this project and do you always create the high fidelity versions of your explorations, as in this presentation? Thanks in advance. Love your content, it has helped me a lot lately ❤

      This project was about 8 months from start to launch. As for hi-fi explorations, not always but sometimes it was easier to use the design system when exploring which naturally meant our explorations were in hi-fi.

    Hey femke, great presentation. Did you try integrating storefront stories on the profile picture kind of thing just like instagram does in form of profile picture strokes?

      We had it as a future exploration - at the time Eats didn't have logos or profile pictures for stores, so that would have been a huge dependency.

    Hi Femke, I have enjoyed your video's and explanation around 'impact' of design. What would be the ideal duration for measuring the impact after the feature has gone live?

      Hey Peter - in this case we had an experiment plan that was set to run for 6 weeks. There is not hard number, so it can vary per project.

      There was a lot of existing, supporting foundational research that influenced this project. This project came about from hearing in other research that customers and merchants were looking for more connection.

    Excellent presentation and solid work! However, I would like to understand what decisions/designs she made vs. the team and how they came to those decisions. Did they test prototypes with users, or was it created based on internal knowledge/hypotheses then beta tested? I'm always curious how teams handle this.

      Hey! It can depend on the project and resourcing we have. This project was strongly based on internal hypothesis and past research we'd gathered which highlighted this as an area of opportunity.

    I was just on Uber Eats app today looking for food to order and saw this new stories. Not to offend you, but as a customer myself I found it super annoying and would not want to spend my time looking at them at all. I just want simple, straightforward, let's get this task done. Every app is starting to feel like Tiktok and I honestly hate all social media. It's all just more clutter to have to go around!
