If they are heat sealing vacuum bags then yes. I have used a few brands.
Does it seal potato chip bags once they've been opened to reseal it?
I don't know and I'm totally out of chips apparently, so I can't even try it!

I didn't get that good of a vacuum with my meats.
It doesn't work too good if the bag isn't lined up perfectly, or if there's a lot of moisture coming out the top. I had some failures to seal with fresh cut peppers. It sucked a lot of juice into the sealing area and it just didn't stick.
I think my problem was the lid wasn't locked. I did dry rice and heard the locks snap and it worked perfectly.
