That feeling just from witnessing 2:53 is priceless. Instant flashback to the emotion from every other time you got a little too crazy on your bike but got away with it untouched.

Have watched a lot of Megavalanche and had not seen this route before. So much single track early on that was not possible to allow for passing. But that is part of mountain bike racing. Nice run, and yes, adversity can happen with breaking equipment or flats or crashes, but man... you went on full speed. And yeah, although I do not race any longer at 68 years of age, I do wish I had had the opportunity to do a Megavalanche.

Sure! Eventually he used it as a ground feature to slow down as he was descending at full speed where his brakes where not useful at all.

I was just thinking about it when i saw it hanging there on the side of the tire... and then he fell... But still manage to finish the race.
