There is a video out there, I think from the same race with GPS speed displayed from one of the top 20 racers. Hit 100 kph at one point.
I checked his Strava. I believe his average speed was 18.9 mph
Take a minute to appreciate the engineering that went into every part of that bike that was able to fall down a mountain with style and still work like new. That's impressive.

I'm a long time watcher of Le Tour de France. The guy on the loudspeaker at the very end has got to be the same guy that does the same thing at the finish of every single Tour stage since going back at least a decade. Also this is impressive. As much as I love the classic road races it takes balls do go down a mountain like this.

33:40 seemed like perhaps the pivotal moment. There was a lot of flat/uphill in the last section, so if Killian could have blocked there, he might have kept it close for a final non-technical sprint.

@Jan Nowak You don't win unless you take risks, do you not think the guy has been down that track before? He knows what he's doing.
The guy who came first not only rode technically superb but also tactically brilliant. At 31:30 he lets Killian by so he can stay in his slipstream during the downhill developed section and rest for a full 2 minutes. When this section finally ends you can see him at 33:40 powering out of his saddle to overtake Killian again before the hard to overtake mountain section. This is quite obviously not his first rodeo and you can see he has extraordinary knowledge about this 40 minute track.
WOW what a great race, the longest and the best footage Ive seen, having watched about six of these races. What a faultless ride, it was great to have the guy in red out front and just see how he handled the track through hair pin bends and the trees. The scariest point for me was when he came onto the first section of bitchumen flying down the road squeezed in by the barriers. In the future I can see this becoming an Olympic sport with a few uphill sections and more opportunities for overtaking. It was great to watch with a few Calvin Harris tracks.
I love the friendly competition between him and the guy in red. Those were some awesome clean passes. No bumps or cutoffs. Awesome 👍

Honestly, I rode my bike a minimum of 25.000 kilometres over a couple of continents, but never had such a track! Congrats. Really! That is so great!

He has the speed and agility. The kilian bron guy has the power going up those hills but it didnt quite do it.

Best Mega race for 1st there ever was. I'd say the winner knew the course a bit better - he knew where to straight line and cut in tight - you had the fitness in catching him, but his plan I'm sure you know now, was to let you go up so he could rest and then squeeze you off before the single track. Brilliant racing - mad skills.

my friend is an avid mountain biker. A year ago he skidded at speed and slightly skimmed a tree. It took 2 fingers joints from him reducing them to mince and gristle. Now he has to wear prosthetics to type or play guitar. Who says trees are all bark and no bite;]

Mad props to the guy around 19:45 hustling the biker back into first place.
just the weight of his balls, like how does he not run into a tree, leads through the entire forest part.. reminded me of the main character from surfs up going through all those spikes
