Danielle, I found this video within your channel, under 'Currently Inked 2024'; I fully intend to watch the entire series, to date for this year. What an eclectic & beautiful selection of writing instruments & inks ! (the only exception being the Benu - for whatever reason, I've never taken to their design aesthetic - but that (naturally) is a personal choice - & certainly no reflection upon yours. You have a delightful cursive handwritten style - clearly, you were raised in a State where cursive still predominates - I never did understand why certain regions of the US defaulted toward block capitals, because in most instances it looks unnatractive, & scripted arts should remain refined; I digress. In regard to any brand of shimmer/sheen/ glittered inks: When charging your pen(s) with same, if you wish the 'sparkle' to remain consistent, up-end the barrel frequently to agitate the denser particulates, so that they do not agglutinate at the distal end of the feed; it is (also) preferable to use broader nibs with these ink type - an EF is going to struggle. Fabulous stuff !! 😙 P.S. The round glass diffuser you employ - Where did you purchase that, please ?
Great pen and ink combos. Thanks for sharing. Glad to see you are not hung up on matching ink colours to the pen colour. Allows for so much more flexibility in my opinion.
Thank you! 🥰 I have too many ink colors to match pens haha, I would go broke buying pens if I tried that! Plus I prefer the look of the more earthy toned pens 🥰
Tuna and olives is just stunning! I bought a bottle as soon as it was on the wonderpens site 😅 that pilot VP is so pretty! I have a love/hate relationship with the 2 I own. They either flow beautifully or have very hard starts. I've been wanting to try the medium nib but am hesitant to spend that much money one a nib unit because of the bad experiences I've had with the EF and fine ones I already own 😮
I've found that my VP has a certain angle I have to hold it at to get it to write well. I haven't tried an EF but I love my F and M. The medium is definitely juicy and bouncy!!
I LOVE your currently inked lineup for Feb! I’ve been so intrigued by J Herbin’s Rouille D’Ancre, but I’m a bit hesitant bc of the dryness factor. I struggled with my two other Herbin inks and don’t use them they often for that reason even though I love the colours. It’s also crazy to compare the Scrikss “medium” against the Lamy broad!
Yes! I find that the herbin inks work best in my larger Nib sizes. If the Nib is too fine it struggles to write. And I agree, the Scrikss pen has been so fun and crazy at how flowing it is with the DI ink. 🥰
Love all of your choices for February. The color pallet is just beautiful! I really love Hope Pink! I love when you do these videos because it gives me such good ideas for inks for my fountain lens. I just got into fountain pens in November of 2023 but I already have 7 pens! I do have one question. Where did you say you bought your pen in the beef the video? Thank you for sharing your inks for February. I really enjoyed it!😊❤❤❤
Thank you so much!! Welcome to the fountain pen rabbit hole! 🐇 I'm not sure I understand your question, but I buy my pens from a variety of places. 😅 Atlas Stationers, Goulet Pens, Goldspot Pens, Truphae, Yoseka Stationery to name a few 🙂
Very nice video, I love your colour choices! You were wondering about Robert Oster inks general behaviour. So far I tried 5: 3 regulars and 2 shimmers ones. The regular ones all behave extremely well but both shimmers ink (Rose Gold Antiqua & Heart of Gold) unfortunately write dry and clogged all the pens I tried them in. Note that this was using medium nib or larger. So far none of the Wearingeul shimmer inks I tried, nor FWP ink clogged any of my pen. P.S. After seing Rouille d'Ancre many times this video had me add it to my MUST BUY list :D
I love these kind of videos, I just started playing with inks and these are so fun and informative to watch! Would you consider doing a video specifically about your favorites pens/inks combinations for journaling on tomoe river paper?
Love all the colors. I really like the idea of the big swatches as well. I may have to adjust how I do my currently ink. Plus Id really like to be able to flip through a book of all the inks I used through the year.
The big swatches have been so fun! Honestly a little travelers insert would be so perfect for a year of ink swatches. I'm thinking I will do that next year maybe
I really love the theme you have for every month -- it's one of the things that I look forward! Lovely approach of sweet time for February 🩷 One day I hope I can try DI Tuna and Olives and the DI Earl Grey Tea too.
@@mydandeliondiaries I’m in Canada so the shipping is steep but there are a few things that I want from there so it should be worthwhile. Do you have an affiliate code with them?
Herbin is definitely a dry ink, but that can work out in your favor if you have an overly wet pen. I use it in my Lamy 2k with a medium nib because with other, wetter inks like Pilot Iro or Noodlers, it turns into a double broad. Crazy thick and almost rounded lines. But Herbin Le de The takes it down to a regular medium.
Great video, very enjoyable like all of your ink tests. But also I think that the video is in general too dark. Increasing the brightness would help a lot in seeing the details of shading and sheening in the inks that you test.
OMG! That is the exact Platinum 3776 I want to buy. Thank you for this. Now I have an idea how it looks in Hobonichi paper. I love all the colors. I might use my Hope Pink next time.
That Tuna & Olives ink looks so beautiful!! Dominant Industry is so good at making lush, vibrant greens.
I 100% agree! Their greens are some of my favorites 😍

Love the cream lamy + dracula combo! That ink is one of my favorites! Wish i could get a bottle of it but they don't sell this brand in my country....
Thank you! Maybe a pen friend has it and could send you some? Not sure but just a thought :)
@@mydandeliondiaries i would love that! Red is my favorite color and and i'm into all of the shades of it!
@@mydandeliondiaries I would love it! Reds are my favorite colors! Every shade, but the bloody ones are even more special!
The Platinum + Hope Pink combo makes me think that's the pen Legally Blonde would use. Haha.
I LOVE this!! ❤️ Such a true statement 👏🏻
It's totally Barbenheimer
Every time I watch your swatchings I write down at least one more ink on my long WL
I should just shop your collection 😅
😂😅 I'm glad you find ones you like!
Great video! Thank you so much!
Happy Friday!
Have a wonderful weekend!

@@StampedAF I do :) It is DANIELLE10 for 10% off
Have you tried white rabbit by Wearingeul? A bit lighter but very similar to rusty anchor, and definitely not as dry.
I have it on my wishlist! I love the look of the shading on the swatches I've seen
I love the Platinum green pen.. love it

What is the tool you are using to distribute your ink drop? Love how large your swatches become!
I am wondering the same thing about the tool!
It is a small acrylic stamp block! I got a set of them from Jetpens 🙂

It is a great writer! Perfect for small grid 💗
@@mydandeliondiaries Have you tried an F nib in the Platinum 3776? How would they compare? I'm debating between an F and SF.
I love your videos all the time. Thanks. Do you have Diamine Soft Mint? It's really beautiful.
I have not tried that one! I will add it to my wishlist 🙂
What converter do you use with your Pilot Kakuno?
I actually refill the cartridge it came with! I use a blunt syringe to rinse it out and fill it with new ink :)
FWP inks are very dissapointing. I got five inks from them and they all were terrible.
