Just got a hss walnut strat with a rosewood neck. $1619 same as your jag. Not sure if there is some sort of low key sale or their website is bugging out. But I'm not gonna complain. This video was very helpful.
I called to verify and she said that it is a known issue, but that you will get the guitar you ordered for the price you paid so I'm not gonna sweat it! I'm thinking about building a strat here next, I've got an American Professional strat that I'm VERY happy with, but I really like the solid rosewood necks and I wasn't crazy about the color options for the first generation of Am Pro... I'm not sure either of those reasons justify spending another $1,600
True, but I checked with Fender. The body is routed for the tone/rhythm circuit so I'll be adding that. I thought they did have a neck that was 7.25", but I want a flatter radius anyway. If you want vintage spec top to bottom then you're better off with the American original series or the custom shop.

I will! It arrived a couple months ago. demo videos take me a lot of time to make for something I do in my free time but it's definitely on the list

Tone color! Ha! I like a mahogany colored finish on my basswood guitar bodies. It enhances the sustain.

Unfortunately, the Mod Shop doesn't have an option for a vintage spec Jag (electronics, neck radius).
