- Richard Gough and Paul Gascoigne scored the goals that won the first old-firm game of the '9 in a row' season. Gough headered in the first goal in the second half against the ten men of Celtic, who had Tosh McKinlay sent off in the first half. The Celtic fans celebrated a Peter Grant 'equaliser' before Gascoigne scored the second in the last minute.

Say what you like about big Billy McNeil he was always a good co commentator and reasonably fair, even will his historic love of celtic, god bless the big fella, helluva player in his day

Another great day for the Bears! Rangers had great character and bottle, they could easily have won the game by four or five goals. The Gazza goal was a stunner....he ran to the fans, shouting "I'm going out, I'm going out!!"....cue the manky mob fire drill practice....they were well practised too!!

Some great football on show there. You have to feel for Tommy Burns - he had one hell of a team with Di Canio the top man with the likes of Hooijdonk and cadete around. However, Rangers would sucker them time and time again with Andy Goram behind a solid defence and with attacking quality like Gascoigne, Laudrup and Albertz and Super Ally it was Rangers who always had the upper hand.
It's little wonder Tommy Boyd isn't very fond of us he was always made too look a right clown

A second booking for an accidental handball (!) Disgraceful decision.
Im not a Rangers fan or a Celtic fan, I just wanted to see the highlights and especially Gazza playing because I’m a Geordie (Di Canio great too). I have to say, the replay shows quite clearly that he watches the ball all the way onto his outstretched hand which he keeps in the path of the ball. It’s about as deliberate a handball as I can think of.
