Learns backside grind on coping, next day. Topside f@c%ing acid!? You're a madman and I like it.

You look like you are getting much more comfortable and consistent in the bowl on the coping. Congrats

Matthew Ginsberg a lot more comfortable, for sure! Feels incredible to be figuring it all out step by step

Your vlog style vids are inspiring me to maybe start leaning that way! Nice work!

Thirty and Rollin thanks man! I’m trying to make it as vlog-like as possible, still working out being totally comfortable talking to a camera haha.
I checked out your video today, love that little plaza park, but can definitely see how easy it is to get wrecked on that handrail

Middle of the day. And you are alone in the skate park. Here in the UK. We are overcrowded

Nice!! That part at the beginning where you were overshooting the coping...I did that forreevvver until I finally got it. I still miss half the time, and still can't do a grind. Killing it man! I wanna try some harder grinds on coping now too. Might start with soul?

For some reason, it came really easy to me that first day and I was shocked by it hah.
Went skating this morning and was freaked out by it real bad, so it seems to be more of a mental thing than anything else, for me at least.
As long as you're hitting it sometimes, you're moving in the right direction! I still miss it pretty often when I go for the stall, but the grind seems to come easier for me.
Have you gone for the soul on coping? It seems super difficult for some reason, haven't been able to figure that one out at ALL yet. Hopefully you'll have better luck!

@@MattBurke820 I totally get that. There are some days that I can just kinda switch my brain off and go for it, other days in the back of my mind I start wondering what will happen if/when I miss. When that happens I either chicken out and half do it (which leads to a fall, usually) or I just end up rolling around not really doing anything for the session. Better to just head home and watch some skate vids when that happens!
I tried to stall it a couple times and it's super awkward for me. It's like your speed/timing have to be 100% perfect or you miss it, whereas with a frontside or backside you can kinda half-ass it because the H-block helps you lock in even if you over or undershoot a bit. I think coming at it as a grind would be easier. Right now I'm still trying to get backsides on lock though!

I liked your video. I recently learned how to air out from a bowl and backside Stall. I will now learn backside grind. Do you wax the cope? It slides easily?

KeMarrius Dyson thank you! Just spend all of your time at the park falling repeatedly and one day you’ll be able to fall just like me! 🤣

Amazing progression, and the top acid was really ballsy as a 1st grind combo after backside grinds. Maybe the 2monrhs you spent on the royale fakie drop was time well spent as you understand now more about the physics of transition riding.
    Great video as always
Also, what on earth were those 2 chicks doing walking around the park? And trujillo cut his hair??? Nnoooooo 😁

Thanks man! I’m super pumped with how quick I managed to pull it off. I don’t know why but the top acid just felt like it made sense... I want to hit a unity, but I’m unsure about whether I’d drop back in fakie or not from that one, so I need to look before I leap into that haha.
They walk around the skatepark every morning while their young kids skate around the park. They were strangers at first, but we’ve become friends through our 8am skatepark hangouts haha
And I guess he did cut his hair! I have always known who he is but never paid too much attention since I was never big into rollerblading... was super cool to randomly share a small town skatepark with him for a few days though!

I think you're great. Just love your videos. But I got one question. That backside grind is just soo beautiful, but do you use any vax on the coping? I've learnt both the frontside and backside stal but I'm afraid of droping fakie, after the frontside stal. Are there anything special to consider when droping in fakie after the frontside stal. Bodyposition ? legs ? Knees? Something else I forgotten?
    Keep on rocking, cheers😀👍
