That was always my favorite Sheldon moment when it comes to "normalize and humanize" him - Sheldon can be such a pain in the ass but deep down he truly cares about his friends and especially Leonard. It was so nice to see this expressed for once and then in such a simple but beautiful way.

99% of clips had to be cut early to avoid the laugh track
no no no... not 99%. I just felt like they were the best selects. Most of the laughs I could get rid of easily, but some made it through my ways...
It’s not a laugh track, it’s a live audience they record in front of. Sometimes they edit it a bit.

It's not a laugh track. A laugh track would be on a separate audio track than the sounds being recorded by the cameras, its not. Coz its a live audience.
So... what ur saying is ur wrong... coz if SNL doesnt have a laugh track, how come this one does? TBBT was recorded in front of an audience. There isnt a separate audio track for the laughter, like there is for the music. I had to cut out certain parts and fade them, you can hear that, so there wouldn't be as much laughing. There is no laugh track.

It really is pure genius, I thought I was the only one that cried hard on this.
Leonard could never bond with his siblings like an older brother he wanted to be and neither could sheldon as the youngest sibling. So he became the irritating younger brother and Leonard became the loving and caring elder brother. they both emotionally needed each other although sheldon couldn't realise it that early in the show.
100%. And I'd say that Leonard couldn't even bond with his mother at the start, and became sort of a son to Mary, in a way.

Thats what real brothers do. They annoy each other, they fight with each other, they will sometimes even wish, to have no brother. But when things goes rough, there is one person, you can always rely on.

They stick together like glue, Leonard is always there for Sheldon and although Sheldon has a hard time telling in words how much Leonard means to him, he has shown it many times in actions. Sheldon will always long for the affection and friendship of Leonard because he knows that Leonard understands him and accepts him as the person he is, weird habits and all.

And great thing is there hasn't been much of dramatization of those scenes..the story the characters make you emotional.
This is what I find lacking with "Young Sheldon" show.
Leonard really helped Sheldon get defined as a character
