Awesome DBZ collection. I’m a big Dragon Ball Z fan, it’s a comfort watch for me, I always like putting it on the telly. I love the individual releases because I like the different artwork they have.
My definitive release are the Dragon Boxes, because they’re the most complete version of the show with the original Japanese title cards, next episode previews etc…, they are quite expensive now but I’m fortunate enough to have bought them as they were being released(I actually bought two sets because I knew how limited they were) I like watching them on a CRT.
For DB I like watching the original saga DVDs, the picture is crisp and more detailed than the blue bricks. for GT I also like the original DVDs because they look amazing, they have the Dragon Box transfer for GT. I have two versions of the movies, the original DVDs for that 4:3 image and the Blu rays for the theatrical aspect ratio. I have Kai on blu ray and DVD one with original Japanese score and other with the new score of the first four parts. I have all of Super on Blu ray.
I just recently bought all the Dragon Ball Z colored manga, I need to collect the rest of the manga’s, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Please do another dragon ball collection video, show the rest of the show.

I still haven’t purchased a complete set of z on physical media since every release has some major downsides for me.
I just want season sets with
    - 4:3 film grain dragon box quality
    - 1080p remaster
    - Bruce falconer score
    - Toonami English broadcast opening/endings
    - Affordable price
It pains me that the closest release that has most of what I want are those shitty dvd singles back from the early 2000’s. Those only came with like 3 episodes on disc and are a huge pain to get a compete set.

Enjoyed the deep dive on your DBZ collection. Would be interested to see more similar videos from your collection on other franchises

Shame there is not some kind of fan project to fix the issue , I might not be a fan but I love dragon ball and this video could help my brother collect.

I grew up watching DBZ in the states when it was first being broadcast with the ocean dub and then funimatiom dub as the years went on. It is without a doubt my favorite anime and the most nostalgic for me. When Dragon Ball Kai(its name before it was brought over and dubbed in America) came out it was the first time I watched the series with the original Japanese dub since streaming episodes on a random anime website was more accessible back in 2009 and I really grew to love and appreciate it over the English dub that I grew up with.
It was only a few years ago that I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a dragon box set from Ebay and paid a handsome price for it. Absolutely worth it, to me. I would never choose anything else unless the level sets were completed or one day, God willing, a true remaster will be made that collectors would shed tears over. Though, more than anything, I would love a definitive edition of the original Dragon Ball series with a proper remaster; I know France has done this but I don't believe there are English subtitles available on the disc's and I have no way to import them or play them on a region free player.
Very happy to see a video like this one, I appreciate any collector such as yourself who is willing to take the time to record and showcase a very respectable collection and give the pros and cons to each one. Cheers!

one thing that should be noted with the Falconor score is he took the credit for the music but a few people under him worked on it and they werent happy about him taking credit for it ... 😅 Scot card comes to mind ...

I brought a double of my entire OBA collection for $50 love Bruce Faulconer Dragon Ball Z music! The best way to watch it is on a system that does letterbox on the TV it stretches the image to cover the screen without cutting off the edges of the picture.
