  • This is part two of the story of how a black baseball team from Miami moved to Cincinatti and then Indianapolis and went on to become the longest running team from the Negro Leagues era. Initially known as the Miami Giants they would change their name to the Ethiopian Clowns, then to the Cincinatti Clowns before finally becoming the Indianapolis Clowns. Despite the name "clowns" they had some seriously good players on their team like Toni Stone and a pre-Braves Hank Aaron!

My grandfather is Sydney Pollock. My father Alan Pollock would travel with the team and shared so many wonderful stories about the team and players. My dad also wrote a book Barnstorming to Heaven which is a great read.
