I have an 06 ES330 essentially same body style and interior , I had no clue it would beep at you if you push it that hard 🤣🤣 and I’m 19 years old and I drive it like a grandma lol! 235k miles and it drives like a cloud still so buttery smooth, I do love these.

I had an 06 and that mf was quick. I’ve kept up with some Audi’s and bmw’s and I’ve gapped something accords and nissans. I drove that thing like it was sporty. Had put coilovers and tires with some Bolt ons to get some more juice from it.

A reasonable showing for an old-school luxury car (i.e. not sporty at all). A suspension tuneup would have probably helped since at 150k the Struts are definitely worn out, control arm bushings are probably split, etc. Still, a good showing overall. I appreciate that you are putting a variety of vehicles around the track, it helps to give context and comparison to the lap times.

I am honestly surprised you were able to hustle this thing as much as you did. This era of Lexus is known for having non-defeatable and very intrusive electronic nannies. Makes sense when the target demographic for this car is 79 year old Gertrude who just drives to church and back once a week. That poor PCM probably thought Gertrude had a stroke on the way to Sunday service.

Leaving the transmission in drive would have been a better lap. Marginally, the car is well aware of what gear to use for peak performance.
They have nothing past 6000rpm (atleast on a 3.3L)
Holding it right up to the red line (90mph), basically is pointless. But it was a decent watch regardless.
    Notes:
Should have left it in drive
Should have used an example that was well maintained, warped rotors, overdue oil change most likely, worn tires, etc (owners lack of maintenance)
Obviously this isn't your fault 😁
