I can remember shooting sporting in the late 1970s and loads of people had an A1 skeet for close targets and an A1 trap for longer targets. I have game clients who still shoot 27" B25s on high bird shoots.
My uncle shot with one back in the 60's and was captain of the team to win the DTL open cup. His B25 wasn't even a trap gun but a grouse gun. (Fixed choke, bottom tighter choke than top barrel) great video.
Aah! the ubiquitous Browning A1 a very popular gun here in the south in the 70's and 80's.30'' was a cracking pheasant gun and the 271/2'' Lightweight Game superb for the lowland/shelter belt driven partridge.Good all rounders for game and sporting clays/Sunday straw bale shoots back in the day.
Years ago I ran up on one in a local gun/pawn shop. Dad bought it. I’ve limited shooting with but it’s a 32” trap gun factory marked as modified in both tubes. Actually measures in at 3/8 or lite mod in both. Hope to one day shoot a few sporting rounds with it
Lovely vid as usual Lloyd. Lovely looking Browning. Not a fan of a black action myself, but the sound of that 'lock up' on closing is a feast for the ears indeed. Sounds as wonderful as it probably did on the day it was made. I am ten years older than this gun in july and hope to be sounding as good when I am ten years older lolololololol. I have a B725 sporter and a MK38 Trap with a SxS Miguel Larrangra side plate for fun shoots as I love a SxS to shoot clays for fun. Good luck bud!!!
Excellent! Those wide ribs that Browning used are known as ‘Broadway’ ribs here is the U.S. I believe you said 13mm (approx 1/2”) but they could be as wide as 5/8” (nearly 16mm). The Broadway ribbed Browning’s are still fairly well sought after and, I think, worth restoring if one so desires. The Broadway Trap & Skeet guns are just great shotguns but can be difficult to find. That particular model B25 A1 is a lovely example. I’d pay a fair price to add it/one to my collection. The FN Belgian made Browning’s built between the late 1950s thru about 1965 are still some of the best-balanced Superposed ever produced as a standard retail shotgun. I have a few but find them to be the most difficult to determine ‘if’ I would ever sell or trade. Not letting my 525 go either!
I own a b 25 Belgian browning 30 inch barrels a grade serial no 945 S1 not sure of how old maybe someone could tell me .chokeing is full and three quarter lovely gun

Yes...a perfectly preserved copy. The B25 is also an excellent pistol...👍
Well done video Mr. Pattison, Keep up the great work- look forward to the factory tour video..

Always nice to find the occasional old gems.
Indeed it is.

Wow, what a nice find indeed. This Browning would fit fine in any one's collection. Thanks for sharing I indeed enjoyed this tutorial Lloyd
Lovely iconic gun. Seriously good value for a hand made gun compared to what's on offer in that range. Would be a gem for walked up game or flighting.
I agree.
Good evening. Merry Christmas!! Can you recommend three super poses up to €3000 or so?
