THIS LADY HAS WON GRAMMYS , A FEW OSCARS , EMMY AWARDS , TONY AWARDS AND MORE , WE WILL NEVER SEE TALENT LIKE THIS AGAIN... BARRY SANG BACK UP ON THIS SONG .
Error. This song is the wrong one. "Guilty" is the duet with Barry Gibb
Barry and Robin Gibb wrote the songs on the album, but did not sing on this song. There were three backing vocalists.@@catlady443
Not very many EGOTs in the world, and she's so very deserving!
I think Taylor Swift will match if not beat her. The main difference is Taylor writes her music and Barbara pays for people to write for her. I remember a very young Barbara very at Taylor age now. I’m an ex opera and musicals singer actor.
@@jakesbel8237 Taylor Swift isn’t even close. I don’t even think of her as being a strong singer. She appeals to the younger demographic whereas Barbara has universal appeal and one of the best voices I’ve ever heard.
There’s a duet with her and Neil Diamond called you don’t bring me flowers anymore. It’s great.
Great song, but "anymore" is not in the title. That was also a #1 hit.
@@BillGraper I guess in my head I just heard her singing the main part so I put in anymore
Oh yes. That is incredible.
One of the saddest songs
i love this song !
All her songs are special - her duets are great - Enough is Enough with Donna Summer anyone??
Heck yeah
Yes, please!!!!
Yaaaaasssss
@@georginawest3927 That’s my favourite song of both hers and Donna Summers. A timeless classic with guts.
Absolutely 💯
Barry and his brothers (Robin & Maurice) wrote the entire CD and Barry and his production team produced the entire cd. On this song, Barry is playing acoustic guitar. On the other tracks, he’s playing and singing background. They have 2 duets on the cd as well. The name of the CD is called Guilty and Woman in Love was the first single from the CD.
I know a lot of reactors don’t like to do background info first but on things like this….why not just google the info after you’ve heard the song to clear up confusion? Just a suggestion. ❤
I feel the same way..👍
I thought he would he has before, too bad no follow up reaction, 2 minutes to say yeah I get it now
he can go into it blind if he wants but in this case when the album cover is the video and he's on it,i feel that putting into google woman in love barry gibb would be ok he'd still be going in mostly blind then he could pay attention more instead of some of his brain trying to work out why barry is there.
Ditto what she said!
I always think he should do a reaction video to the comments on various videos where he talks about what he learned. Because sometimes he's...I'm going to be polite and say "off base."
"Evergreen" is one of her best songs. Shows off her vocal styling.
Barbra actually wrote Evergreen.
@@caskur1 That actually surprises me. I didn't know she wrote any of her own songs. Especially one to support a movie. They usually leave that to the big guns. Great song.
And she wrote it
@@caskur1"Evergreen" lyrics were written by Paul Williams.
Oh honey ,, this is your favorite and you haven’t heard Evergreen or People yet. Babs is a national treasure and your reactions to her music are very appreciated
And the list could go on and on. You didn't bring me flowers (with Neil Diamond), My Man, The Way We Were. Ugh, she is so talented.
Ditto!! 😊❤
Completely agree!
For my money, you can't beat her duet with Neil Diamond...You Don't Bring Me Flowers (live at the Grammys) Two literal icons.
Beautiful song x
@@joemckinley754 I agree!! It was beautiful. Hope he does a reaction for r this!! I don’t think he’s done any of ND.
The best contrast of voices on a duet ever. He's so grounded and she's so angelic.
I forgot all about that song. It was beautiful ❤
This song was written by Barry Gibb and his Brother Robin Gibb in the 1970s
This album was released in 1980 and and a variety of producers including Barry and Robin. The Gibbs do sing background. What Kind of Fool is a duet.
@@ColeenU Robin co wrote this one but Barry produced the whole album. Also its only Barry that sings background vocals.
I'm not a Streisand fan but her vocals in this song are INSANE. And she reportedly recorded this in one take or one sitting.
Anything Barry Gibb touches is gold.
Barry and Barbra sing together live in her backyard. They do Guilty and What Kind of Fool back to back. Watching them
sing live is just wonderful. Hope you find it.
This entire album is fire. If you want to hear Barry with her, do What Kind Of Fool - great song - or Guilty. Barry produced the album-her best selling album ever.
The song Guilty is the one that Barry is on
Plus several others.
You need to listen to her duet with Neil Diamond.. you don’t bring me flowers.
This is a great tune, Barbara's vocals are so powerful! BP, please listen to Guilty, You will hear them sing together and it's great!
Thank you👍❤️
Barry did the harmony chorus with her.
Barry wrote this song ❤❤❤
I read Barry asked her to sing the same part 10 times, and he used it, but you can hear Barry in the background. The BeeGees have no problem singing in the background.
No they didn't sing on this song.
Robin & Mo didn't sing on any songs.
She holds that note for SOO long @ 6:13… 😳👏👏👏. WOW…!
After the huge success of the Bee Gees in the late 1970s, Barry Gibb began to focus on writing and producing songs. Streisand approached Gibb to write songs for her new album, and initially he was going to write or co-write only half the album, but the process went so well he ended up doing the entire album.
All the songs were written by Barry Gibb, sometimes in collaboration with his brothers/productuon team, and were written expressly for Streisand except "The Love Inside", which Gibb wrote over a year before. 😊
The songs on the album were written by Barry and Robin.
The Love inside is a great song.
@@shelleyjackson8793Robin co-wrote 5 songs.
It's the cover of the Streisand album "Guilty". This album was produced by Barry Gibb and his group's regular production team.
If you go on to hear the title song "Guilty", a duet with Barry Gibb, you'd better understand the love shown in the cover photo. 😊
"And we got nothing to be guilty of
Our love will climb any mountain near or far we are
And we never let it end
We are devotion
And we got nothing to be sorry for
Our love is one in a million
Eyes can see that we...
Got a highway to the sky"
Yes, definitely a favorite when these two came together for Guilty, it's amazing.
One of the greatest singers of all time.
BP in 1981 when my son was 5 and I used to play this song he used to say, play it again mummy, play it again... and kept asking... well he died at the age of 23 but the memories live on. I told Barbra Streisand herself about Kane and after 3 years she finally saw my message and ticked like on facebook. I cannot tell you how chuffed I was.I am so glad you finally played it.... you are truly hearing the best of the best now. Xoxo from Western Australia.
Omg! Check out her duet with Donna summer: enough is enough
Barabara won her first two Grammys in 1963.
There is no one else like her.
Barry and Barbra sang a duet called Guilty which is the title of the album and why Barry is on the cover. Barry and Robin wrote Woman in Love for Barbra.
She’s been singing since the early 60’s. People,Evergreen,The Way We Were. You are hearing him in the background.
Yes, i remember my mom buying her album Color Me Barbara. Love her voice, it's perfection!
No, he doesn't sing on this song. They used three studio background singers.
Evergreen was Kris Kristofferson!!!!!!
Please check out anything she sang in "Funny Girl". "My Man", "People", "Don't Rain on My Parade". Check out her duet with Judy Garland, "Get Happy/Happy Days are Here Again".
The song you hear Barry in is "Guilty". You must listen to it. Everything Barbara does is perfection.
Barbra was Celine Dion's inspiration! Been a Barbra Streisand fan for years, what a voice!
me too !
Barbra is also a major influencer for Adele. ❤️✌️down to video shoots, hair styles, finger nails, hand/arm gestures.
Written by no other by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees ,a master song writer as well as a great
singer !
Barrys best songwriter masterpiece straight to #1 and it was everywhere #1 around the globe her most successfully song ever 🔥🔥
Barry and Robin Gibb wrote this song and Barry does backing vocals as far as I know on the original in a falsetto voice. He is responsible for lots of hits like 'Islands in the stream' and 'Grease'
More Barbra reactions please - A Piece of Sky, The Way We Were, People, Evergreen, Guilty, What Kind of Fool, Two People, I've Finally Found Someone, We're Not Making Love Anymore, The Music of the Night
Guilty was an album in which Barbra Streisand enlisted Barry & Co. to help write, produce, and sing. I am fairly certain we had Gibb(s) on the background vocal. Feature credits weren’t quite as common as they are now, but perhaps the cover is its own kind of feature credit.
If you want another great duet of Barbra Streisand's, check out "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" with Neil Diamond. They actually went to the same high school for a while but weren't very close at that time, according to Neil. Both of them have very distinct voices.
**Btw BP, I meant to suggest that you check out Neil Diamond's song "They Come to America" from his movie The Jazz Singer. Great song for the 4th of July. You'll love it.😉
She is one of the greats. Can do absolutely anything she wants to. And of course Barry Gibb is also one of the best singers, songwriters etc. I don’t think he ever acted in a movie but he dang well could have. She has the largest catalog of songs. Get into it BP. You won’t regret it 👍
Song is gorgeous, album is gorgeous, also at the end of it the song "Make it Like a Memory". 1980 this was HUGE
From songs like this to Mrs. Focker!! She is a universe of talent!!
Barbara has always been my favourite female artist & then Celine Dion. Barbara has major stage fright & did not tour much. What a talented woman. The BeeGees were a big part of my youth & they wrote & sang awesome music. What beautiful mix to both.
Barry produced the whole album. He wrote and co wrote all the songs and he sang 2 duets with her on the album as well as the background vocals.
written by Barry and Robin Gibb - album produced by Barry - she held that note for about 45 minutes!
Barbra Streisand y Donna Summer, No more tears
She was a celine or Adele of her time. Major megastar of the 70's
Slight correction… Babs was an inspiration for Celine and Adele. 😉❤️✌️
Barry did not sing backup on this song. Denise Maynelli, Myrna Mathews and
Marti McCal did. However, Barry and Robin Gibb wrote the song and Barry played acoustic guitar and arranged the single. Barry also co-produced the album with Karl Richardson and Alby Galuten. Barry Gibb wrote and co-wrote every song on the album as well as sang two duets with Streisand. Streisand felt he should share the album cover with her.
Bravo.....someone finally gets it right! Well said!👍🏻
Totally forgot about this song. It's a total mood, and this song is soooo good.
Marvellous vocals for this huge Barbra hit song.. She just does it well.. With help from Barry and team.. Great reaction once again..
Barbra can hold a note as long as any I’ve heard. Try the Yentl soundtrack. A movie in which she portrayed a young woman pretending to be a man so she could study the Torah. Women weren’t allowed to do this back when this movie took place. “A Piece Of Sky” and “Papa, Can You Hear Me?” are awe inspiring. They will give you chills and bring you to tears.
I don't think younger people appreciate that because they assume it's fake. Back in the day I was always amazed she could hold a note that long.
@@belkyhernandez8281 yes! I agree! She’s an amazing singer and a pretty good actress too. I even liked her in her non-singing roles, my favorite being “What’s Up Doc?”
She can hold a note alright but..not as long as Cecilia I think czcams.com/users/shortstSpHipCkeOA?si=RHJZjV36PVS0043N
@@belkyhernandez8281it’s not a big deal to hold a high note for an extended count. Surprising you need less air not more. It’s all in total breath control, softer notes and in chest voice takes more air and a stronger diaphragm to hold one that long.
@@jakesbel8237 Is circular breathing involved at all? I assume that it helps to be in good cardio-vascular shape to have that kind of lung capacity. I took a course in vocal techniques in college, more for acting than singing, but there's much crossover and it's amazing how much vocal capacity one has if one learns proper technique and vocalizes from the diaphragm and not throat. Enough to fill a concert hall.
Her duet with Bryan Adams -I finally found some one . Awe to die for
I love and appreciate all music, but the voices are the most important thing for me. She has the most beautiful voice. There, for sure, are many many more, but she is the most beautiful. Thank you for this!
Very special Lady
Someday, please watch her in the movie Funny Girl. She'll blow you away, I promise. Not just her singing, but her acting. She'll mesmerize you.
(And for me, Omar Sharif was pretty mesmerizing!)
My Man still brings me to tears!
Definitely react to "People" from her movie, "Funny Girl." She re-did this song in many many takes. Only she understood what she was going for until they listened to the first and final takes. It's a beautiful and moving song!
Listen to evergreen and hold that note for as long as she can. Such a beautiful voice!
One of my favs is Barbra Streisand And Neil Diamond - You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore - 🤯🤯🤯
Barbra reminds me of my mom bc she always played Barbra. Great reaction!
Barry and Robin wrote this song. The reason he's on it he sings on the album, the beegees wrote the music and Barry produced it
The twins helped write 5 songs, Barry wrote or co-wrote all 9.
I agree, absolutely my favorite song of hers!
What can I say, love these two !! Goosebumps
Evergreen and The Way We Were, are terrific and well worth your time! 😊❤
One of my favorite Barbra Streisand songs.
Barry sings on the song Guilty, which he wrote for Barbara.
I believe “Guilty” is the song they sing together. Babs is absolutely the most phenomenal woman and she acts. I love her movies.
One of my favourite albums. Still playing my vinyl copy alongside my usual rock and metal! She has an amazing voice.
Greatest female vocalist of the 20th century, bar none.
Love me some Barbra! And what
Could be better with a little Barry on the side!this was a great album. More please!❤
TWO FANTASTIC VOICES, paired together: CANNOT BEAT IT!! I still think you'll like her song from the movie, Yentl: A Piece Of Sky!! HUGS, BP!!! ENJOY!
Whole album is great too. Another Gibb collaboration to look at is All The Love In The World by Dionne Warwick.
Beautiful song. I remember first hearing it travelling on a bus when I was on a confirmation weekend camp and was in shock when I discovered it was sung by my mum's favourite actress
For fun, try listening to her duet with Donna Summer. "Enough is Enough."
Barbra S and Neil Diamond ..Will be a WOW !!!
This is a MAGIC album. All amazing songs. Just love it years later.
Barry has 2 duets with her. "GUILTY" and "WHAT KIND OF FOOL". They're both on CZcams and live.
My favorite "The Way We Were". If you get the chance, watch the movie. It is both a romance, but also a unique look at a specific time. Still love it, what? 50 years later.
"What kind of fool " has Barry and her singing together. Also you need to react to "The way we were". Absolutely beautiful.
Her voice is out of this world!!!! Those different vocals are the Gibb brothers doing the background!
There's another song from one of her lesser known movies, On A Clear Day (You Can See Forever). It's not a musical, but has a title song she sang,
Her song ( Evergreen) from the 1970’s movie A Star is Born
I joined for membership with excitement to see your reaction to this.. here we go! 😊 Oh, she held that note for 15 seconds!!! Her voice is just WOW!!!
Gotta react to Barbra And Donna Summer duet Enough is Enough extended version. 🌹
Merci!
One of my favourites, love it ❤ ty x
I can hear Barry easily every time there's harmony!
This whole album was incredible! Guilty is one of my favourites on this album, also What Kind of Fool is incredible too.
Somewhere and Evergreen are really good songs by her so is memory and this album they sang together Barry Gibb is on the songs they do some duets together and some where they sing background, a good duet song of them together is, i think its called what kind of fool
The music was written by the Bee Gees and the album was produced by Barry Gibb. He sings on Guilty the title record. I thought perhaps I heard him on backing here but not sure. This was one song the Bee Gees refused to sing at concerts when doing, 'songs we wrote for others', saying somehow it just would not look right!
Love this song
After the success of Bee Gees album Saturday Night Fever, the world turned on disco and The Bee Gees. The Bee Gees fell from the public eye, but they could write songs. They wrote songs for the very best. One of the best groups ever that worked with very best. Barry is on the duet, What Kind of Fool, that is my favorite on album. There is a live video of them singing it at one of Barbra’s parties in her back yard. A must see.
You must hear her sing, Superman.
Barry, and, possibly a brother or two, are the backing vocals on the album. Barry also does 2(?) Duets with Barbra on it.
In the late 70s, the BeeGees found themselves boycotted from most US radio stations because they had been TOO successful and were "ruling the charts and receiving awards." "... between December 24, 1977 and May 20, 1978, the Bee Gees had six consecutive number one hits..." for example.
During their exile, they wrote and produced this album, amongst others, for artists such as Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, etc.
Run wild , The love inside and Make it like a memory are my favorite songs on this wonderful album ! all the songs are great , although i have my prefered ones !
Beautiful song
Do a search for songs Barry Gibb wrote. You'll be amazed at the number of artists he wrote hit songs for. One of the musical icons of our time.
Yes Barry & Robin wrote this song for Barbra Streisand & many more!!!
One of my Moms favourite songs and mine ❤❤❤.
Look at her live perfomance singing Guilty . When Barry joint her. Its really good. And they White for her.
One of my favorite cuts off this album is "What Kind of Fool". And the live version she did with Barry Gibb is excellent.
This was written specifically for Barbra Streisand by Barry Gibb and his brother Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees. The song was part of Streisand’s 1980 album “Guilty,” which Barry Gibb produced and co-wrote.
Oh my gosh! I haven’t heard this in so long… It’s bringing back childhood memories of hearing this song. Was around 10 when this came out… Maybe 11. I totally forgot who sang this and couldn’t end of this song. Thank you for doing this one!❤
In this song Barry doesn't sing but does the back up chorus with his brothers.
In this album he sings in Guilty and What kind of full. The rest the Bee Gees does the back up voices.
Thanks for the reaction. Love Barry, the Bee Gees and Barbara.
❤❤❤
The Gibb brothers wrote every song on this album. Her producer asked them to submit some songs for consideration. They submitted 8 songs and 8 were accepted.
My all time favorite Barbra song ❤
Barbra Streisand is the Great Of All Time ❤❤❤
