- Believe it or not, watchmaker Casio is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, , they're hosting a special exhibit in New York City to showcase the different iterations of their watches. FOX 5 NY's Chris Welch takes a look.

Got a GSHOCK GD350 on the wrist currently and an AE1200wh “Royale” that I wear to work most days occasionally wearing the bulkier GD350. Next Casio for me is the GWM5610-1u. Seiko’s and Casio’s get it done for me!

I love Casio. AE1200 for work, I've got Casio Duro, a few A168 variations, I've got a green mtp, a 5610U. You can't beat a cheap casio. Ultimate anti-flex watch.

Agree! Rolex are so overrated. I heard that Rolex watches now are becoming more inaccurate in timekeeping more than before as it focuses more on being luxurious and super fancy than keeping time and practicality. That, and you would still be a target for crooks if you wear a Rolex outside.

Casio was established in 1946. The watch division have their first watch in 1974. The celebration is for the latter.

I have heard of quite a few people ditching their smartwatches and going back to Casios.
I agree! They're every smart feature you could need, with none of the nagging or recharging. And then I'll still wear an analog watch for occasions.
Much better than the "smart" watch trash that's worn today.

God tier watch! Ditched my Apple Watch and now I have the F-91W (must-have Casio) and the Casio Ripley homage: A100WE. Love both watches.

Casio is my favorite watch. Just got a GW-M5610U Solar G-Shock watch and it's so cool! Casio is one of, if not the best watch brand in the world.
Still rocking with my F91W, G-shock Neo Tokyo, Casio Forester, CA53W, Casio Royale, Casio W-96H, Casio MRW-200M, Casio WS-1400H. Never had a single problem with these except that one time my forester was running out of battery and I had to replace it, but that was pretty much it and I’m thinking of picking up a Casio Duro as my next watch in the collection.🎉🤘

@@apraew20 yes. I wear Casio since 1983. Not always as I have some really nice ones too but yeah, I wear and have Casio’s since 83.
I had my 5600 6 years in the army for example. That one lasted about 10 - 12 years. I still have about 10 different Casio’s 🤓😎

@@apraew20 They work if you replace the battery. Some are rated for 7 years some have over 10, but there are some cases where they last much longer.

Best watches to date. My husband and i have had ours for 28 yrs and use them daily without fail or even battery replacement bc they r also solar cell driven
