  • Inside of the concentration camps, there were thousands of people who were being executed each week. At camps such as Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen and Ravensbruck, many prisoners were being treated awfully by the SS guards. But one woman who was executed inside of Ravensbruck was Elisabeth de Rothschild, a Baroness who married into the incredibly wealthy Rothschild family. Elisabeth was arrested by the SS and Gestapo for debated reasons, either trying to flee France with false papers or offending a Nazi official. However she was sent to Ravensbruck Concentration Camp, an all female camp.
    But despite surviving at Ravensbruck for 4 years and almost seeing out the war, Elisabeth who may have been a political prisoner died inside the camp. It was said that she either succumbed to a disease which was plaguing Ravensbruck, or as her husband claimed she was burned alive inside of the camps crematoria. The SS guards had done this previously to SOE female spies, and they did do this, executing people in the most barbaric ways possible.

    Both my parents fought during WW11. My dad in the Navy as a gunner at 19 years old from Inverness in 1939. My mum in the womans auxillary army ATS, she was 23 in 1939, she came from Aberdeen. My dad saw all sorts of atrocious things. In the Alantic convoy's escorting ships of women and children to America. One Nazi u-boat sank one of the ships with women. Dad could remember all his life seeing dead women, injured, screaming for help. They could do nothing but hope another ship was near by that could help them. If they stopped to help they would be torpedoed too. It haunted dad. My father was determined that his 4 children - my 3 brothers were 7, 8 and 9 years old when I was born. I don't think my brothers paid much attention. Dad used to get me to watch the world at war, it was on tv every sunday, I can still remember watching the Nuremberg trials, while secretly wanting to watch the man from uncle. I found out from my mother that both the UK and US knew about the Concentration camps and were asked by Jewish leaders to drop bombs on the train tracks to prevent them taking more to the camps, but Churchill refused. I don't know on what grounds. I know from watching many documentaries about WW11 that the Nazi's took the beautiful young girls and made them work in a brothel for German Soldiers. After the war many of these women just wanted to merge into the background some not understanding they were victims, having to service around 15 men per day, given strict instructions on how to wash out their vagina's to prevent infection. The Nazi's were evil when it came to inflicting horrendous medical experiments and operated on prisoners without anaesthetic or pain relief. The Catholic Church helped many senior Nazi's escape through The Rat Run from Italy to South America, The Vatican also held many priceless works of art stolen from the Jewish people. The Vatican provided false papers for the Nazi's to escape. During this awful war that America entered after Japan bombed Pearl Harbour. In Japan they had their own places for conducting medical experiments, which were just as if not worse than the Nazi's. My own Uncle was a POW in Japan, it was said he was never the same when he returned home. In China Japan caused horrific crimes against humanity. It's called The Rape of Nanking. They forced fathers to have sex with daughters, son's with mothers and any other combination thats abhorrent to mankind. I myself have visited Dachau Concentration camp. It was the first concentration camp built. The famous phrase that hangs over the gates in Auschwitzcamp "work makes you free" that was originally in Dachau Camp beside Munich. When the commandant left Dachau to go to Auschwitz he tookthe phrase with him. Sadly now all we have are black and white news reels of the camps being liberated. What many people didn't know was that Russia and America divided up the Nazi scientists and took them either to Russia or America to work on projects there. They were never tried for war crimes. This was all documented under the code name Operation Paperclip.

      A friend of my Dad was a double agent during WW2,posing as a nazi officer and working with members of a polish underground,while feeding info to England. He won the Polish medal of Valour. I mention this because one of the things he hated were the actions of a certain young polish priest who was instrumental in turning in young Airmen who had parachuted and survived getting shot down. Many were captured and shot by the nazis. The Priests name was Carole Woytola.

      Yes. I read about Corrie and her Sister that died there, Betsie. A high school English teacher of mine back in the 1970s told us about the book, The Hiding Place. I learned many valuable lessons in that book: #1 God has a use for even vile insects like lice; #2 That in God’s world there are no ‘accidents’. Why the last one? Corrie tells how one day after her Sister, Father, all her family had already died at that camp, she was pulled from her work station and sent to the Head Officer at the camp. That usually meant death. But to Corrie’s surprise they were releasing her! They gave her back her clothes, the trinkets she had carried into the camp, gave her a shower and put her on a train that left the concentration camp.😐. She couldn’t understand WHY of ALL people was SHE released and no one else.🤷🏻‍♀️. It appeared to have been an accident’ as a week after she was released, all the other women in her barrack was killed. 😐🥰. Except Corrie had been set free. She knew why. She was to tell the world that despite all the horrors she had seen and endured, through ALL of that hell-“there is no pit so deep that Jesus is not deeper still”. ❤️. He had a job for Corrie and she did it until her death. If any of you want to see her and hear her speak, look up 700 Club Pat Robertson and Corrie Ten Boom. She is so pure in her love for Jesus despite losing her entire family and all the horrors-and yet her love for Him, and His love for her-will make you shed a few tears.

      My parents also gave me a book on it quite young with many photographs. I was shocked and disturbed by it but it did make me think about the nature of good and evil. The emphasis in the early 70's was to never let history repeat itself by remembering these atrocities. The truly frightening revelation came much later when I realized we are all doomed to repeat history and most of us will turn away and ignore it. China is a recent example of very similar evil and it makes me very sad for that reason as our governments pander to them and pretend all is normal and the youth bury their heads in their phones looking at tik tok vids of pronoun people and funny cats. They are taught in large measure that the US is unredeemably flawed, corrupt, and evil from its inception. To many of our young, as well as academia, the idea of defending it would be laughable.
      When Hutus were massacring Tutsis, when Yugoslavia was imploding, and now the war in Ukraine, "Where are the Americans?" has been a common refrain.

    I can't even imagine how hateful you'd have to be to deny that this horrific time in history existed. The pictures, films, survivor's stories and even the Nuremberg trials won't let these hateful people believe it or have empathy for the people who died and those who lived. It's a sad commentary on the times we live in and as long as that hatred exists it can happen again.

      These people couldn't really exist as long as MOST of the population of Europe that was of mature age had experienced German Nazi occupation and MOST often been in a prisoners' camp in Germany (that included all drafted soldiers and all civil servants of defeated countries) for some time, not necessarily to be killed or marked for death themselves, but to walk along other categories of prisoners which were targeted for elimination, generally through deliberate starvation plus other means if need be. Everybody or nearly so had known a comrade of camp who never made it back and even though the Holocaust proper was not talked about as a project the propaganda was very clear that people unfit for war or for work for the Reich had to pass away like infectious farm animals. Those who complain of Jewish privilege regarding the claims made thereafter should remember that it was the SS themselves who decided who was Jewish, who was Gypsy, who was Gay judging only from their lifestyle or sartorial appearance : when they didn't like you and they didn't like even their own families you had no chance, you were a captured rat to be disposed of.

      Can happen??? It IS happening. In fact it’s never truly stopped. The hate crimes that are being committed today are nothing more than an extension of that inhumane time in history. The Jews have been persecuted in some way or another by Greeks, Romans, the Nazi’s…even in the name of Christianity which is the worst offense of them all since true Christians worship the same God. There have been crimes against women pretty much from the start, blacks have been treated abominably, Asians and Gays are being targeted. All in the name of male/white supremacy. A supremacy that only exists in their minds. One day Gods vengeance will come upon them. It seems like he is letting people get away with their crimes. Crooked cops, lawyers and judges are denying people justice. Criminals are sitting on death row forever. Why they give the death penalty and then let them sit there gobbling up taxpayers money IDK. But God’s justice and judgment will come upon them in the fullness of time!

    I read a book called “The Rabbits of Ravensbroke”. This was a special camp and among the things that went on there was research into medical treatments. The Doctor in charge of the Camp would create a experiment and have the guards injure the inmates. The idea was to see common battlefield injuries and perfect treatments.
    When the camp was liberated and the doctor went to trial she said she saved these women who were hurt but at least they were alive.

      @henryb160 Před rokem +3

      If you are talking about the footage at the start then they weren't "arriving" in the camps. They were German civilians forced to visit the camps by the US Army to see props (lampshades, shrunken heads, etc) now dismissed as Allied propaganda.
      You can even see the US troops and trucks in the footage. The narrator misled you.

    • @JelMain
      @JelMain Před rokem

      The film of the leisurely queues guided by American soldiers (round helmets) was after the war, when all Germans were required to visit one, so they could never again deny the truth, as they had been doing. It didn't stop the "yes, but..." apologetics, rooted in norms they had grown up with, it took until the children aged 7 were no longer influential to let them have true independence, and that reflects in the great reluctance of Germany to release its obsolescent Leopard tanks to Ukraine now. As one of the last generation of monitors (I was a crisis manager in WEU, part of the European CFSP structure which won the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize, having given the heads-up on the imminent fall of the Iron Curtain), the thesis I finally arrived at is that Clauswitz' thesis that war is a continuation of policy by other means is not only evil, but wrong. It is an extermination of policy by exhausting the belligerents of resources, a race to the bottom, which is lost by the first side to get there. The victor is then prey to the watchers.
      Speed in taking control is the solution, and not one Europe is good at. Right now, Germany's muttering in its beard about a European package, which will never happen because there are too many corrupt influences wanting to drain the resource for their own ends

I'm relying on the testimony of the psychological profession that Hans Asperger sent most of his patients to the gas chambers. I'm relying on the first-hand testimony of Corrie ten Boom. I'm relying on the testimony of a former SS Officer I had to work with. You're a fabulist.
      The current generations of Germans were brought up to recognise that a horrible mistake had been made, and are determined not to go there again. They deserve credit for that. However, as a military strategist, I must also recognise that preemptive action is a valid and necessary tactic, tempered by détente, which has failed. When Putin threatens nukes, America should open its missile hangers, and up the subs at sea. Russia will notice that, if nothing else.

There has never been any relief from wars in human history, always some justification for them. There are always wars going on, official and unofficially somewhere in the world. It's a dirty business where anything goes. It seems to solve some social problems and has been used as a form of population control. History is basically there not just to educate people but to create a mindset for whatever they current political agenda is from the people who basically are the ruling class. It is a real shame that in the United States are people are not being educated to reality but instead are being indoctrinated into just more propaganda and the saddest part is people who have higher education are among the ones who drink more Kool-Aid than anybody else or so it seems..
