The Olive Shuttlecock has been a favorite of mine for many years and has accounted for many trout for me .
Hook - Fario wetfly #12
Thread - Olive UNI 8/0
Rib - Black flexi floss
Body - Medium olive seals fur
Thorax - Hares ear or similar
Wing - 6 CDC plumes

Love it Stevie,I have one very similar using brown olive goose herl ribbed with brown maxima,more or less the same fly.Its been in my box for many years as well.Was tying up some fresh yin’s just the other day funnily enough..😉

Steve, the CDC you cut off, do you use that for your next fly?

Would it work in smaller sizes also does it sit just under the surface or lower,

Hi Joseph, I use it mainly on a 12 but I do use on 14 occasionally, just treat the cdc with with cdc oil or mucilin and ithe body will just sit under the surface film
