Haha, I just got to the end, where he says "Good night, everybody. Thank you." It is the Com Lag take! It's awesome to see him play it, thanks for posting the vid!
Gotta disagree with Thom, the original version that was the b-side to Knives Out is way better. It's not as elegant as this piano version but is still ridiculously atmospheric and otherworldly. It's one of my favorite Radiohead songs - period.
I think this is one of the most gorgeous songs they've made. It's a bit of a pity that it gets relatively little attention. Plus, the studio version's wonderful too
the original version was a b-side to the Knives Out single, and is a full band version with all the instruments. That was the version thom was referring to at the beginning
There’s a little child Running ’round this house And he never leaves He will never leave And the fog comes up from the sewers And glows in the dark Baby alligators in the sewers Grow up fast Grow up fast Anything you want it can be done How did you go bad? Did you go bad? Did you go bad? Somethings will never wash away Did you go bad? Did you go bad?
ok. This song has really grabbed my attention as of late. I don't know if anyone has ever thought of it this way but to me its a kid going off to college. Probably because I will be leaving the house in the next year or so, but still it has affected me deeply and I'd like to think thats what the song is about :).
i lyk when he says he's gonna play fog and someone in the crowd yells 'yeah!' then he looks into the crowd suspiciously asif to0 say. "you've heard this before" it's rare :P
@TeslaFactory he is wearing music festival wristbands (obviously 'performer' ones, not ones for the audience). this was filmed while they were doing several european festivals. i guess thom never took them off after each show.
@superwiicrazy I'm sorry, but i know i will still get touched by this song when I am at the end of my life. Which i hope is about 70 years away. The song impacts me this hard
This song makes me cry a lot.
Haha, I just got to the end, where he says "Good night, everybody. Thank you." It is the Com Lag take! It's awesome to see him play it, thanks for posting the vid!
14 years later but yeah, it's from Com.Lag.
anyone else just love the baby alligators line? just gives me goosebumps for some reason
in each song he puts the deep sound of his heart..
I'm glad Thom took time from his busy amusement park attending schedule to write and perform this.
this song is so phenomenal, i can't stop listening to it.
So indescribably beautiful......
Words can't describe how much Thom Yorke affects his listeners in an amazing way.
I love that he plays a little spinning plates arpeggio at the beginning. its nice to see a song starting..
I love how he looks at the crowd when they gasp hearing him tell them he's going to play fog.
melody to my ears :)
Gotta disagree with Thom, the original version that was the b-side to Knives Out is way better. It's not as elegant as this piano version but is still ridiculously atmospheric and otherworldly. It's one of my favorite Radiohead songs - period.
+Sham Bolic Totally agree, love the 'Knives Out' Version
I absolutely loooove this song, my ears wish there was more of it.......love love thom and his beautiful voice
I think this is one of the most gorgeous songs they've made. It's a bit of a pity that it gets relatively little attention. Plus, the studio version's wonderful too

immerse your soul in love
One of their best B-sides.
magnifique
I personally like this version better, very personal and Thom just nails it.
the original version was a b-side to the Knives Out single, and is a full band version with all the instruments. That was the version thom was referring to at the beginning
So good : )

around the one minute mark ed's expression looks like he's thinking "what a fucking badass"
Oooh, Dios! preciosa
There’s a little child
Running ’round this house
And he never leaves
He will never leave

I am 16 years old, i've got wishes for my funeral written down. If i die young, I want this to be played at my funeral
coinvolgente...
Fog is in 4/4. This is in 6/8. Bravo Thom.
well stated, thyy.
Pretty.
I love how this is like the only band nowadays that is better live than on the record
I love the original one, but this one is brilliant too.
i could listen to this song till i die.
M encanta esta cancion, como todas la de radiohead.
Thom's bracelets make him look like he just got released from hospital - four times!
I was rather hoping to check out the guitar portion of this song... it's beautiful! :)
theres a little child running round this house he would never leaves he would never leaves and fog comes up from the sewers..... did you go bad
this has to be one of my favorite b sides
ok. This song has really grabbed my attention as of late. I don't know if anyone has ever thought of it this way but to me its a kid going off to college. Probably because I will be leaving the house in the next year or so, but still it has affected me deeply and I'd like to think thats what the song is about :).
i was hoping that this would be a cover of wintersleep's fog. o well great none the less!
i lyk when he says he's gonna play fog and someone in the crowd yells 'yeah!' then he looks into the crowd suspiciously asif to0 say. "you've heard this before"

@TeslaFactory
he is wearing music festival wristbands (obviously 'performer' ones, not ones for the audience). this was filmed while they were doing several european festivals. i guess thom never took them off after each show.
WHYYYY!!! why is it so short? sniff sniff... this should last like FOREVER!!
sebado's cover is really really good.
wow...still.
@superwiicrazy I'm sorry, but i know i will still get touched by this song when I am at the end of my life. Which i hope is about 70 years away. The song impacts me this hard
@davidecali It's the chords for "like spinning plates"
comfort
this features on the com lag ep, which is live from japan I believe.
Lol he's actually funny! Omg I thought he was just hard and cold but the beginning was funny as haha
and honestly i preffered that version
also, as a side note, it sort of sounds like he's about to play the live version of like spinning plates before he begins...
