The Beats by Dre Studio3 Wireless are a great gadget, but a bad pair of headphones. If you have $350 for headphones, look elsewhere.

I love mine. Had them for about 2 months and have no issues at all. I only use them at the gym. The bass is great. I once owned the bose QC 35’s and there was like a popping sound whenever a song got too bassy and the volume was maxed out. I listen to hip hop and R&B mostly and these headphones are great for that. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with these. Hope this helps others with their decision to purchase these headphones or not.

For someone who listens to Alternative music, yes, they might seem bad. But when I listen to Rap or some House music, I really don’t want those tambourines to crush my eares.. I had Bose QC and Studio Beats, and I got to say, no matter what, the Studios just fit my kind of music much better. If you really want to listen some Classic music or any kind with a lot of vocals and singing, then go on and get the Bose.. or just connect your Beats to a good soundcard on your pc and tweak them to the max.. both are good, sound heavily depends what taste of music you have..

This guy definitely knows more about music and the way it should sound than most other reviewers of these headphones. As a musician I tried these expecting to be blown away considering the price, but I wasn't best impressed, yeah the noise cancelling is great but they just sound muddy to me, too much low end frequency, the sound of the bass drum in some songs drowned the mix and I almost couldn't hear background lead guitar parts because of it. And I don't even listen to really heavy music. I guess they just aren't designed for the sound I'm after?

A lot of people are lying to you in the comment section, sure they are comfortable but the sound is above average at best, if you are someone who only follows trends (like I was) then by all means go ahead and waste your money. If you want something expensive that is actually good then consider the V-Moda Crossfade 2 or the Sony wh-1000xm3 but if you dont care about sound quality and only care about style and looking cool then by all means get these, I'm trying to stop you (as someone that had these headphones) but if this still doesn't convinced you obviously made up your mind (bad decision)

Buying beats solo 3s. I’m worried about the hinge breaking for this so I’m wondering how are they? Do you use the case included or use another case? I’m thinking of getting a drawstring bag. But yes. I know many love beats and so do I. Also be careful with using the hinges as they might break.

Correction 4:20, yes you can turn ANC on/off. tl;dr Press the power button twice fast. If you're interested in these I strongly suggest going to the Beats by Dr Dre S3 support page... Details follow, I lived with these for a month... You are correct, ANC is not offered as a software control. This being an Apple BT chip device software support is not for Android. The ANC does work but does run the battery down fast (22hrs vs 40hrs). Also, remember to turn them off. IMHO, the power button is very flat and although it has a positive feel, its hard to double press or press a hold for me. Also, RE buttons there is plenty of control, but only 3, so you have to single/double/triple press and memorize how these work. Also, the micro (skinny type) USB charge sucks, come on, its a USB-C world now. Yes, they are heavy on the bass end, you can EQ this out if you don't like. I strongly recommend Sony WH1000XM3/B. Has USB-C charge, touch screen controls on the L side ear cup, a seperate ANC control button. Last, and my biggest issue, there is random popping heard at lower volume levels on these headphones. I'm not a "Beats hater" but if you have to have a label with a "b" on your headphones knock yourself out. Oh, and although attempted, really more of an Apple device for getting full support.

These headphones are NOT bass heavy. Which was a problem I had when I upgraded from my Studio 2's/ Bose QC35 (power switch broke - which is a known issue on the QC35's) I honestly favored the QC35's because of their bass, comfort. I like the sound signature of the Studio 2's over both the 3's and the QC35's. The 3's are way to balanced and not fun to listen to. Why? I guess to please people like the reviewer who still ended up claiming they are bass heavy anyway. I own a lot of different headphones, so I didn't buy the Beats to have another want to be neutral boring headphone, but they are. Still these are my go to headphones now because... "W1." Bluetooth wise, I'm either using these or my AirPods. When I get home I use my HIFIMAN 4XX, or my HD650s connected to my Fiio K5/Q5 combo, which sounds flat out amazing. I will say one thing using these off my iPhone X/Fiio Q5 isn't half bad they are serviceable in that configuration.

When my Bose Closecomfort 35's died, I bought these for $250 and they've been fine for me. My 35's didn't sound any better than these to me, and the only headphone with ANC and BT that I've tried that sounded slightly better in the highs is the Song MX-1000X, but not enough to warrant me paying $100 more for those. Also, you can turn ANC on and off by double pressing the power button.
