Whitaker said he needs time off for his family after the first Izzy fight, I think he needed timeoff for his family and making a stable version of Skyrim.

I don´t know why Rob didn´t go after Izzy´s legs and body more. Rob is one of the worlds best fighters so i´m guessing there were things Izzy was doing to deter him but to a layman like me who only trains because it´s fun it sure did seem like Rob was headhunting during the entirety of their first fight. Would love some educated thoughts on why he didn´t kick Izzy´s legs more and why he didn´t go after the body more. Seems like an exercise in futility to try and connect mainly to the head when you´re fighting a guy who is so good at fading back and retaliating - kind of like when people were trying to fight Anderson Silva the same way with little sucess.
I am hoping whittaker worked on that because I also noticed in their first fight when izzy would lean back to counter his overhands it leaves him opened for a lot of body strikes and leg kicks plus takedowns/ clinch.
I am hoping Whittaker also wrestles a lot more and even if he can't take him down at least capitalize on some strikes with faking them and clinching with izzy.

I'm not saying I'm a pro but I was a very good wrestler placing in state all throughout high school. Let me tell you something when Izzy leans back like that while engaging. You can see he does it alot. The first thing i think is drop levels grab the hips and down u go. He is soooooo off balance maybe not to throw a punch but any decent wrestler would drop him on his head. Why do these guys engage so much just engage to close the distance and when he leans back make it a reaction to grab him
Usually when he does that pull counter he has a lot of distance between him and his opponent which would make it hard for someone to shoot from that range.
