It is the easternmost and most beautiful tourist center of the High Tatras. The most popular tourist centre at Skalnaté pleso at the altitude of 1 751 metres offering various specialities of national or international cuisine. It is mainly the area around the tarn that is tailor-made for walks or easy hikes. Take a chair lift to Lomnické sedlo (saddle) (2 190 m above sea level) and enjoy great view of Malá and Veľká Studená dolina (valley) and most Tatra peaks. The cult film Medená veža (Copper Tower) (1970) was shoot right here. Skalnaté pleso is an ideal place for families with children. Your kids will fall for the educational trail of the Tatra wilderness with a small Country of marmots.
Grandhotel Praha is located in Tatranská Lomnica, at the foot of Mt. Lomnický štít. It takes about 15 minutes to walk here from the centre of Lomnica, where the bus and railway station is. Thanks to the location, the hotel offers a beautiful view of the whole valley, privacy and a close distance of a ski centre (900 m).
The ski resort Tatranská Lomnica is located in the Prešov Region (Slovakia). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 11.8 km of slopes and 0.4 km of ski routes available. 8 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 888 and 2,190 m.
