I will forever love JT he was in my state of Nebraska recently and we had some devastating flooding people lost everything, homes, crops, livestock. He donated part the proceeds of the concert that night to Nebraska plus his own money. His management company and concert promoter matched his donation he is an amazing dude!! He is one of the few celebrities that even noticed us it was amazing you should check out the video!!

Well, considering his last album titled “Man of the Woods” has a very bluesy/country vibe I’d have to agree he likes country music. Great tour, btw. I caught him when he came through Toronto last October I think it was.

Actually, this is the best "live" performance I've ever seen! They were perfect together...and they sang everything perfectly! Didn't even need any theatrics, or dancing. Btw...I'm not a "Country" fan, but I DO love Timberlake & Stapleton 💙

I just learned that was the night that Chris won the Best NEW Artist category. This performance is considered one of the best Award Show performances of all time and put Chris in the public eye beyond just country music... that and CZcams reaction videos like yours. 😁
Chris has written hit songs for a lot of famous people. His wife convinced him to release his own songs and the rest is history! Aren't we glad she did? 👍😎🎶🌟🔥
This is the best collaboration ever! They both were amazing! Sad you couldn't really appreciate how great these two are together. But if your not a JT fan I guess that explains it. The brought the house down. They are also amazing in Say Something which was done in one camera and one take. Only true pros can do that.
Justin is from Tennessee that's why he's there lol. His roots run deep in country music.
To be fair, Justin is from Memphis, which is a world famous blues city. It is amazing to think that Tennessee has two world heritage music cites for different music genres though.

I do admire Justin Timberlake having the courage to be on stage with Chris Stapelton, because Chris makes him sound like an amateur...but he does everybody.
The best concert I have ever been to was Chris Stapleton!!! No other words needed!!!!
They met because Timberlake’s wife hired Chris for his B day party. Chris was virtually unknown before this performance and had sold 70,000 copies of his album. He blew up immediately after this performance and the album sold 600,000 copies within 2 days and is still on the charts along with his next two albums too this day.
He won 3 CMAs including Album of the Year and Best New Artist at this very award show. Let’s not act like JT picked the guy out of obscurity. It’s not like he was just there to perform with JT. The dude had 4 Grammy nominations waiting for him by then.

There’s a bit of a theory that JT kind of held back a bit to guarantee that the spotlight was on Chris, although I think most would agree that it was absolutely not necessary if he did. This was definitely the moment when the rest of America, outside of the Nashville community, found out who Chris Stapleton is. Craig Morgan has been known to cover “Can’t Drink You Away” and he does a pretty great job. You can find videos on CZcams.
Chris definitely wasn’t unknown in Nashville. I’ve seen him and his wife many times doing songwriters showcases.
@@lubimiller You said it right there… Nashville. I will rarely listen to country music, it's only the big acts I may give a listen to. So to those of us outside that country bubble, this was the first time to take notice. Just because he was known and successful in country music doesn't mean he's known by everybody else. Country has become more niche than rap.
Justin has country roots. Chris Stapleton is such a class of his own. And he was making a good living just being a songwriter in Nashville before he went out on his own. JT says he stalked Stapleton and his wife until they performed. And now they have a single together that’s really good. You don’t have to fit into only one genre of music. JT can fit in to many, as can Chris.

Morganne, Chris's wife who you mentioned, is absolutely incredible. She sings "You Are My Sunshine" at their live shows and its so beautiful. But it seems she stays away from the spotlight and gives it to Chris. I wish she would get more credit and shine, but its nice to see y'all noticing her talent.
She really doesn't want to be in the spotlight. She is the reason we have Chris as a Solo. Much like Jesse was the Waylon. Watch the 2 of them in an interview. They are amazing.
That is because sometimes what other people think you should want is really not what YOU want. I think she is happy with the situation just the way it is. She gets to sing and perform but also, I think she prefers that he be out front. I feel sure that if she wanted her name up in lights he would gladly put it up there for her. In other words, I don't think that her lack of having her name announced means anything to HER. Just because a bunch of loud feminists both now and in the past want to make a big deal about women being credited, don't mean that is what WOMEN want. My impression of the entire relationship is that SHE is the driving force behind it all (in the background) anyways. She is Boss Lady, in other words.

It’s one of the greatest performances on an awards show and a great story of how it came to happen. Chris told his wife that he was a little nervous about doing this show and she told him to invite one of his friends to perform with him. He didn’t want to ask any one being the humble guy that he is. His wife said ask Justin. And pop goes the weasel!

I feel the opposite. The first half was incredible of course and an amazing display of vocal talent and emotion, but the SECOND half has SOOOO much energy and just keeps building it really sells and completes the whole performance imo. The first half was an incredible treat to the ears and the second half tops it off by getting you off your seat. By the end of it you’re exhausted in a satisfying way.

Chris's wife, Morgane has a beautiful voice and is the perfect complement to Chris, in life and music. Their 5th child was born this Mother's Day. Chris has written many hit songs for other artists, including Adele, but it was Morgane who gave him the push to record his own music. God bless her. Check out Millionaire from Jimmy Kimmel Live. It is a love song and he is totally focused on her as he sings.

Justin, who has deep Tennessee roots, was a fan long before anyone knew who Chris was. Stapleton is his own genre: the nicest guy in the business with the best voice in the business, the best songwriting chops and guitar playing chops. He met his wife Morgane when they were on the same label. They now have four kids. Her voice is also pretty stunning.. Google Morgane Stapleton's wicked version of "You are my Sunshine". What she does to an old Appalachian classic is remarkable.
