Sweet! I am literally taking my 94 in for a 5.3 LS swap today. Nervous, but excited. And I've got the exact same dashboard mod. Got the replacement. (Gonna see if I can get them to replace it when they install the Autometer gauges) Mine also has the rare parking brake delete option. (Came off in my hand one day)
How did the LS swap go?
@@SGMoto Haw. You'll love this. Ugh. Long story. Original mechanic got covid. Starting over. New mechanic. Just got a donor Escalade for a 6.0 LQ9, so that's at least actually in hand. Having a little trouble sourcing a t56 trans. At least the old motor and trans is out. The whole thing is on a bit of a stall since I got rear-ended in my Corolla, my dishwasher died horribly, both jobs well over 700bucks ea killed my swap budget and today the body shop sourced *and painted* a rear bumper for a *Camry and not a Corolla*... so that happened literally just now. So how's your week going? Lol. It's been that kind of couple of weeks. Thanks for letting me unload.
@@daviddavid5880 It’s all good man! It can only get better from there, and you’ll soon be on your way to LS swapping. Plus side, you can use this time to research suspension, tires, power adders, all kinds of stuff. Preparation is free and makes the build that much better! I hear that those T56 are tricky to find, but worth it!
Ill be on the hunt for a 5.3 soon… I may have a Colorado with the AR5 that wants a big nasty engine 🤔

Hey there. Quick question: Did you eliminate the steering damper? Relocate it? Why and how? Pretty sure I'll need to hack mine out to make way for the oil pan. I can fab mounts that loose a lot of clearance, or maybe mount twin dampers... don't want any freeway death wobble. Thanks.

@@SGMoto for sure! Mine was off the road since 2011 and i got it last year. Thing fired right up once we got fuel to it! (fuel pump rotted out :/) since then I've redone the fuel system and rebuilt pretty much the whole motor save the crank and pistons. I don't think it'll be leaving me stranded anytime soon lol
