@@thefrenchweightlifter Appreciate it champ. Already done 1,050 lbs a few years ago. Recovering from an injury and hopefully soon I will be able to make it happen. I would have done it already if it wasn't for my injury. Let's be GREAT champ!
@@onemanswrld405 When I fully recover from my injury. I'm going to crush 1,100 lbs trap bar. It's been my goal and I'm just going to build my body up so it can do it with ease.
Guys, while being in ban and doing strongman, Alexei Lovchev 14:00 has performed clean lift (not continental lift, as every strongman do, but real clean like in Olympic WL, but with mixed grip) and then jerked 216 on axle bar. Only few days ago Mitchel Hooper managed to lift 218 (continental lift and very hard push press). I know, how you like such content, please, find Lovchev's lift and make technical breakdown!
Congrats on 100 news shows! You guys rock, even when l occasionally give you a little friendly shit. Have really been enjoying how you guys are keeping up with analysis on the Olympic training videos. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!
If it means anything, Karlos is the most drug-tested athlete in weightlifting, with 7 (as of when I got the info some time ago) tests within the Olympic cycle done by WADA
Thanks for the show again, it's been a good weekly fun. Getting exposed to people from sports you'd never see otherwise. I really hope there's no political busts this Olympics. It just ruins the show when you know everyone competitive is doing PEDs and then you cherry pick people. I'd request more of those colourful training shorts like Rizki has. They look damn nice. You know, the more I watch Lasha, the more he starts to become that evil guy in Bond movies. The guy who just grabs Bond by the throath and puts him on the wall while wearing a fancy suit and never speaking. And what I'm happy to see is that Lasha no longer has that rotation when holding up the bar after the lift. Love Yan Djuris celebration because it makes him look just like a robot, which you have to be to lift those weights. A lifting machine. A forklift if you will. My mind took a quick 404 seeing those wrestler drills. Like I'd have to pause and progress frame by frame to actually figure out all the drills they are doing and they're doing them at wild speeds. Like I swear they're also doing hand coordination at the same time. You don't see many people moving as fast as the 130 kg wrestler to begin with, let alone doing such mobility and skill drills. That's nuts. I'd love to see more wrestlers training, know a guy who did both greco-roman and later submission wrestling and that guy is a beast as well. Wrestling must be the one sport where if you're just crazy and want to beat yourself up, you're allowed to. The coach doesn't tell you to get a brain and chill for a bit. And then you also hear about guys like Dr. Eric Trexler who played american football and baseball when he was younger, then wrestling, then powerlifting, weightlifting, bodybuilding and eventually ended up as one of the smart sport/nutrition scientists. The stories he tells from the stupid things he did when training/competing when he was young. It's hard to put the two sides of the coin together, very meditative smart and compassionate fellow, but also pretty crazy when it comes to training.
Imagine a sport like powerlifting but the three lifts are Powerclean/Clean but no jerk just the clean, second lift being Incline bench press i chose incline so that its a inbetween of a OHP and a bench press and the last lift is Trap Bar deadlift.
Is that a world record? Seems like something any strongman that deadlifts over 1000 could definitely best, especially considering the high handle use. Still it’s an amazing damn lift.
29:48 When would you use trap bar deadlift? For what purpose? If I search for trapbar deadlift on your channel a video called "What About Trap Bar Deadlifts For Athlete's Strength & Conditioning?" pops up where you seem to say the opposite :)
You guys should get into contact with Frank Rothwell. I just found out he's Irish, but far more importantly, he's a treasure to the sport. (And getting old)
505 kg/1105 lbs is my goal for trap bar deadlift. Should be a piece of cake. Let's stay MOTIVATED and let's be GREAT. Great video! 🔥🔥🔥
bro, i've looked up your videos and lifts you're are an absolute monster ! i hope you're gonna make it happen stay strong💪💪
You may get close to my 900kg trap bar deadlift, I did it when I was 4 btw
Damn I was thinking no way, but then I watched your videos, you're the real deal man, stay savage!

40:00 the linkage that adjusts the angle of the bench is all the way down so the bench should be in flat mode.
I’m predicting Lasha will win gold with a 218-220 snatch and whatever he needs on a C&J, likely high 250s

Mitchell Hooper broke the axle clean and press wr last weekend - maybe something for next week's video
Yeon Hak is going to Paris
its him the 73 and the 89( i dont remember there names)

Jang Yeonhak is going to the olympics i thought

his footage of all the world's and euros is, well, most of what you'll find on CZcams! his historical contributions are beyond match.
Y'all ever going to reprint the shirts? They're so sick
Yeon Hak the South Korean John Haack?
the olympic channel just released 100 meter race finals all the way back from 1980 but didnt show the 88 and 04 race, take a guess why?
Ben Johnson ?
