Once upon a time....
Way back to the late 70s,
I had this old Kawasaki 900 street bike I loved to thrash on the 1340.
She ran a low 9:30s.
There was no such thing as a extended swing arms, carbon fiber body parts, air shifters, car size rear slicks, fuel bike engines or a 6 man staff team.
It was me and my then time girl friend/future wife backing me up on to the rubber I just laid down.
You really just sent me back to those days. I could almost smell the burning rubber.

Loved the story on the old HD. The owner was very informative and the story very cool. But let's not forget the dirt drag bikes which were awesome and fun. And of course those monster top fuel bikes. Great vid!
Here in the Philippines, it's common to use dirt bike engines for drag races.....just putting it on to another chassis, gas , brakes, electrical works and that's it

I'm here to tell you. Tim Hayes has one of the nicest baddest grudge Honda dirt drag bikes. Built it years ago ahead of its time. Custom slider clutch in it etc. It's one of a kind.

4 cylinders on a 4 stroke engine, only means you need to cut ignition to regain or maintain traction. Thats why on anything short of hot pavement and race compound tires, a twin or a single is always ideal.
