    Hi I'm Tristan!
    I live in New York and when I'm not working on my fitness clothing line (yoked.net) I DIY with intensity 😅
    For now, I restore wrecked, neglected or simply damaged motorcycles. So I disassemble, weld, machine and fix those bikes so they can go back on the road!

    top notch mechanic for sure, but as a machinist I'll give you a small tip. when lapping/sanding surfaces that you want to be as flat as possible its best to use a figure 8 pattern when sanding.

    • @aedanharris9366
      @aedanharris9366 Před 10 měsíci

      I have found using a rubbing block and making a cross-hatch pattern will yield better results. Using sandpaper larger than what your trying to make flat will cause the edges to wear down more. Only maybe half thou say probbaly won't matter but still half a thou

    Hello. I could really use your help! That banjo bolt that you put in the case at the 18:58 mark I stripped because the torque wrench decided to not click! I've been working on this bike for months now and couldn't imagine having to pull it apart again😭 What you do??? And does that hole just go into the case behind the clutch? Like if I was to have to to any drilling, could I just take the clutch out and clean the shavings out there? I'm really stressing out about this. Thank you for any advice you can give me...

    • @TristanDurandBuilds
      @TristanDurandBuilds  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Matti, it is a pretty common thing, the big end bearing fail is common, it takes a lot of stress a lot of times.
      To push it back as far as possible I would change oil and filter per recommendation and not overheat my engine (so install have a temperature gauge somewhere to check)
