Jason…your content has been desperately needed for American workers for a long time. By shining light on our deceptive economic/job data, you’re providing truthful sensible answers to many of us demoralized by the daily hope of getting hired.
By seeing what’s really going on…taking new approaches to finding work is absolutely required. Instead of believing how strong the job market is, you are exposing the false numbers that prop up macro economies in favor Big Business and Washington DC. Kudos to you big time sir.

I've been looking for a job since December 2023. In Illinois DEI is in full force. Companies are leaving because of crime and tax hikes. So, factor in illegal immigrants + DEI + college graduates + ghost jobs = no one over 50 gets a job. Over 150 resumes have gone out in four months, 5 interviews in that time, and still no job. One employer told me to move to Florida, I would have a better chance to get a job for age group. WTF. Age discrimination anyone.

In Canada employers are constitutionally allowed to discriminate on race, so most new job openings are filled using DEI criteria. This is not going well for older women (and men) like me, but also for young white people. Merit appears NOT to be a criteria for hiring, and age and disability are not real (if ever) considerations of DEI.

I am recent college grad with a bachelor’s degree with 4 years of work experience in my field that I studied at school I am still struggling to land a an entry level job. I have had plenty of interviews from many large companies, and preparing correctly, and making it to final rounds, just not landing offers. Can you do analysis on what its like being a recent grad or Gen Z in the workforce.

Thank you for sharing your story. I will do some research on this topic and see if I can put together the story for you. My daughters are in the same age bracket and faced some of the same challenges. What I will tell you is that even though it feels like nothing is ever going to happen for you, this too shall pass. Something eventually broke for my kids and it will for you. It just takes way longer than it used to and I know it is super frustrating.
