this theme is practically flawless, i love it. the fact that they included that distorted guitar-sounding "thing" throughout the piece makes it feel alien and unsettling, which is helped by other effects used in this. it's just so good man, i was so bummed out when Spider-man 2 didn't win OST for Game of the Year
5:55 took me by full suprise the first time I heard it before doing the Wake Up mission, it conveys how much of a hold the symbiotes taken on Peter so well
What freaks me out about this music is that it's even easier to hear than normal because Pete is sometimes just... silent while wearing the symbiote. Especially when picking up Spiderbots, he usually has some little quip or notices something interesting about it, let alone the fact that it's from ANOTHER FREAKING DIMENSION. But here? Nothing. Not even something sarcastic. No "who dumped their garbage all over my city?" or "more like INFERIOR Spider-Man." Combined with the creepy, twisted leitmotifs of his theme it really feels like he's beginning to just be puppeted around by Venom.
I noticed on my 2nd playthrough, when he had the symbiote and collected the bots, Ganke didn't call Peter after collecting some. Maybe he was scared to? Don't know if that was intentional or maybe a glitch on my game
2:54 to me reallly emphasizes on the adrenaline aspect of spiderman. it’s like when you’re running towards the temple after atreus gets taken by baldur in the first god of war. it’s like the urgency to get somewhere whereas for this instance its very compelling as spidey. whenever this part comes on whenever im in the middle of swinging i get a surge of adrenaline. it really is that beautiful.
Maybe the sense of urgency has also another meaning as when Peter gets the symbiote, he's now on a race against time to save Harry who's slowly dying without it. It really empathizes that feeling of pressure that tells you this is a serious situation, that you don't have any to goof off and you need to get it over with as quickly as possible. Time's running out. *Harry's dying.*
This theme is great for putting you into Peter’s headspace. The frantic desperation he’s feeling in order to save Harry slowly gets transmuted into something sinister when the symbiote starts to take hold.
It feels like the song is trying to rush progress until the pacing feels off and a little dark, which I think is intentional and perfectly fits the story
2:20!!! The mixture of the synth keyboard and the strings for a human/alien connection, and the guitar at 2:26 to replace the theme is what makes this track so perfect. Thank you for this!!
I love how the droning synth on purposely makes the Spider Man theme sound terrible because of the awful corruption the Symbiote had on Peter. Little things like that make me appreciate the OST more

I love this version of the act 2 music. I only wish that we could change it in settings to this version, which plays towards the end of act 2, and not just the version we can already change it to, which is from the start of act 2
