- Why are you so orange? I do not fake tan, it's the filters on my camera and they can sometimes turn me warmer than I am depending on the light, although I am quite tan naturally in person (I'm Italian)

Maybe the sunflower skirt would fit if you try to put it on through your head first instead of trying to pull it up your legs. I have the same problem with some skirts and dresses and this usually works🙌🏼🙌🏼

Try patterned tights under the ripped jeans. That will take care of a lot of the problems you have with them, and will be super grunge.

Or add some fabric in the holes. quite easy with the sowing machine, only have to seam rip the side to make enough room for your self to sow, then sow the hole with fabric, just stitch around it, then sow up the sides again. With jeans fabric would be cool but also some bright color fabric would be cool

Glad you didn’t listen to them about the jean skirt. I just feel like your style is evolving and you’re more willing to try things than your friends. I agree that it’s fun to shop with friends but if you need to be convinced that an item is cute then you should leave it. You should live it from first try on.

Because nobody is buying them there so they have a surplus vs where you live people probably buy them more often
Bailey H A lot of people probably move to LA from different places that don’t have sunny weather 24/7😂 then they realize they probably don’t need such a heavy jacket for that weather and give it away. And of course, most local LA thrifters won’t want to spend money on a heavy jacket they know they’ll never use. It happens in my city where our winters are just rainy and mildly cold too. And even though I’m always, like literally *always* tempted to get a big cuddly coat, I know that 1) it’s too warm and bulky for our weather and 2) I already have a bunch of rain coats anyways lol

I thrifted some stuff recently you would love. A denim jacket that was like a light wash that was zip up and had those sip us sleeves and had a button neck thing and a button strap on the bottom. And on another trip I got these awesome sweaters (a dark green one with embroidered trees that was soooooo fuzzy) and some very comfy grey overalls.

I really love that weird checkered denim skirt! It's really funky and definitely a different piece from your usual jean skirt. I think it would make for really cool "fall outfits"!

A great tip for stains...wet the stain with warm water and rub white handsoap over the stain.rub it with hands,rinse and repeat until stains gone,then wash the whole garment as usual.
for the pistachio green knit too you could pinch the straps a little and see it so it’s more snug and doesn’t fall down

Your so lucky! I always look for overalls and jean jackets when I thrift, and I either don’t find any that fit or don’t find any at all😭but I guess it will be more rewarding when I finally find some☺️

For your next DIY flip, take those urban outfitter jeans and put a different material underneath those awkward holes! You could do lace, flannel, or even different darker shades of jean!!

I have been trying to thrift a a denim jacket with the fuzzy inside but no luck, I live in el paso and my goodwill and savers don't have those cool jackets or shoes. You might be able to sew some fabric in the holes on the ripped jeans to make them more comfortable/less awkward. My mom used to do that in high school whenever my jeans would rip or come with a hole too high up to make them dress-code appropriate.

I got a pair at stitches for 20 bucks at the end of August. Almost everything in the store was less than 10 dollars and is always like that since they’re now the discounted version for urban planet. I also got a denim velvet overall dress at forever 21 red for 12 dollars and a pair of short overalls at urban planet for 15
Also H&M has lots of different overall styles the most I’ve seen them for is 39 and that’s Canadian so probably lesss than 30 American and that’s not the sale price so with the constant sales you’ll end up paying a fraction of the price :) last resort would be amazon! There’s nothing I’ve searched for and couldn’t find on amazon, I have a hard time paying in store prices now when I know how much less I can get it from amazon lol

Try getting stains out with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and blue Dawn dish soap about 1-2 tablespoons hydro with 1/2 teaspoon dishsoap. Mix it up rub into stain with toothbrush and then wash.

My sister collects poo bear things because thats her nickname big gems where a christmas poo vest and an amazing jean jacket also came across a lot of the mountain brand which is my jam thanks for the luck!

To bad about the sunflower skirt. Sometimes when I get skirts that are hard to get over my thighs I put it on over my head 😊 I have a small waist, and my hips are like two sizes up, so I have to do like that with several skirts I own.
