The ball gown wedding dress looks elegantly fashionable
This video was super helpful! I went dress shopping yesterday and bought a fitted lace mermaid one. My mom and fiancés mom swore it was perfect, and I genuinely liked it more then the ball gown I was looking at. I just am having trouble with my arms and my tummy area and this video helped so much. Like seriously the sitting down part probably saved my whole wedding night, only because I don’t want a second dress.

Nayri this is so helpful I just went dress shopping this weekend & getting posture and pose right isn’t automatic I realised this when reviewing the photos. I’m wearing a traditional ball gown and standing, walking, posing are all going to be rather interesting lol. I’m going to try to not look uncultured lol. But my hem & alterations are on point so that’s going to help me with posture!

I have a question about posing..
So, my dress is actually exposing my legs. It’s short but then has a floor length layer of veil-like fabric over it. Any tips on posing in something like that? I plan to wear converse for the ceremony (it’s outside so I didn’t want heels in the mud) but then heels for the reception. Let me know what you think!!! ❤
Thank you for your kind words, Kortney! This might sound strange but I think it would be valuable for you. I would put your phone on selfie video and record - put on a dress/shoes that mimic your wedding look and practice posing. This way you can see how you look and decide how you like yourself posing. ☺ Hope this helps and let me know if anything else is needed.

I have a pretty extra fluffy gown and think aesthetically it might look better if I don’t wear a veil (even a simple one) but as you said, I will regret not wearing one. Tips on what do to? I especially hate the look over the two tier veil once the blusher is sent back. Asking for the moon here but please advise!
Going with a simple veil is always a winner even if you just wear it just for ceremony and photos.

Yes! I would encourage you to hold it the same way. :) However, feel free to adjust on the wedding day if you want to hold your hoop bouquet differently. Your photographer may have some great ideas for photos as well.

Is it hard to walk in this mermaid dress?
Not for me because I am used to walking in form-fitting dresses and skirts. Some could find it uncomfortable, but most brides are okay with it. Once everything is tailored in alteration to be your right size and length - it makes it much easier to move around.

You can subscribe here (instagram.com/weddingfashionexpert/) Essentially, you're wearing a form-fitted bodice that is pushing your skin up and out - you need to smooth that skin down and under your armpit. So if a couple is eloping, and it will truly be just the two of them, what is the blusher protocol if no one else is there to hand off the bride?
Hi Randi, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! You can do whatever is functional for you and your fiance. No rules here. However, my recommendation is to have the blusher flipped back during the ceremony because if it is forward during the entire ceremony, it is in the way of photos and sometimes doesn't photograph great for the bride's face to be seen. That being said, my recommendation is for the bride to walk down the aisle with the blusher forward and flip it back before the ceremony begins for the bride's face to be revealed for photos during the ceremony. This is a totally personal decision, and anything goes! Hope this helps!

Congratulations! Push the skirt forward with your knee/foot a little so it doesn't roll under your foot! You'll start to get comfortable moving within an hour of being in your dress! Have so much fun.
I thought the groom removed the veil before he kissed the bride.
It’s all personal preference! However, this is what I suggest for great photos during ceremony 😊

Do you have any poses for an A-line ball gown?
Posing in an A-line ball gown is the same - you can technically be freer to post how you'd like because the fabric won't bunch or gather. A good photographer on the wedding day will also help you with how to pose. You could even meet before the wedding to get some practice in.
