For those who kept saying “LEGO Movie wasn’t nominated because there was live action segments.” just remember Happy Feet won.
Trust me, I didn’t see them coming
@Montravius Daniel Arthur Christmas Was Snubbed As Well :(
@Montravius Daniel Uh, Lego Movie had live action scenes that were pretty significant, I'm assuming that's why it wasn't nominated
Happy Feet was released before they established that rule
@@BeagleFeatures I don’t think we should be talking about “rules” when it comes to the Academy.
I love seeing animated characters make cameos at the oscars, too bad they don't do it anymore
Joe Yaroch 2016 had woody and buzz presenting the best animated feature award to inside out.
Jackie Gonzalez Three years and i still find it surreal they presented the award to their creators at Pixar.
They only did it twice in 2002 and 2007 (for 2001 and 2006 movies). Should do that more often
I honestly would’ve had a high pitched voice like Clawhauser from zootopia if I’d seen Hiro Hamada and Baymax at the Oscars when they won
@@JoseMarquez-em5wi I like the animated characters cameos at the Oscars in 2002 better
I love how McQueen comforted Mater when he is sad that they didn’t win.
Yeah, I legit teared up, I'm still glad that the film won the Golden Globe and Annie
@@Thomallister And it also won the Critics Choice Awards too. And I’m glad that Happy Feet won the BAFTA and the Oscars. It’s a win-win

Montravius Daniel You’ve seen it?
Montravius Daniel Please let me know
Montravius Daniel Thank you
Sadly, this was the last time when animated characters were used on their seats.
They should start that up again
Yeah, hopefully for 2024 Oscars, but I doubt that they will have the animated characters again. 😢

George Miller is a legend in my opinion. He created the Mad Max franchise, and after winning an Oscar for a cgi family film, came back to make one of the greatest action films of all time, Mad Max Fury Road.
This guy deserves all the credit in the world.
Greasy McNasty "This guy deserves all the credit in the world" - Said no one ever.
And George deserves some credit for Happy Feet. The beginning of the movie was spot on beautiful. And the tap dancing sequences are amazing! He is a mastermind and George Miller is definitely a legend! ❤❤❤
And this guy directed Mad Max Fury Road.
Antonio Mantilla I only saw the original Babe and the Hapoy Feet duology

God I hope that the Corona virus would be over before the oscars 2021 comes around.
@Montravius Daniel that's debatable
@@237schibe_ screw you Cars was awesome Happy Feet sucks.
I remember this telecast because Scorsese won Best Director, but only now am I realizing the significance of George Miller winning this Oscar, even if it was for a different category. Two filmmaking legends winning two Oscars on the same night!
Neat, the same director for other such family friendly films such as Happy Feet 2, Babe, and Mad Max: Fury Road!
Mad Max wasn't family friendly and I liked Babe too

Tony Stark Huh?
Manuel Orozco He was joking.
The English Gentleman Oh my bad. HF 2 was just good as the original.
The creator of Mad Max won an Oscar?
Yep.
Correct, George Miller himself

George Miller's speech was really good! And yeah, thank all of the men at the Oscars wearing penguin suits. 😂❤
Lightning McQueen: We didn't win....

Great, now I'm crying.
Anna Fowdy Why?
What you said.
Anna Fowdy Dannng... that is a good one.
its just an empty oscar
Happy Feet has great directing. George Miller became the first Australian to win and be nominated for Best Animated Feature.
I liked Cars, Happy Feet and Monster House equally overall. I actually didn't see Happy Feet until after the Oscars. Well deserved win and Happy 10th anniversary. RIP to Robin Williams and Prince
And Brittany Murphy.
Anna Fowdy Her too. I liked Pink as Gloria in the second movie but she will not replace the magic Murphy brought to Gloria.
Anna Fowdy Although the sequel was good as the original I still wish it wasn’t a half rehash with unnecessary side characters.
Montravius Daniel Yup! I haven’t seen the OG movie in ten years
Marco Anaya Growing Up I didn’t have a favorite of his movies
This movie was actually motion captured which is not considered an animation category, but Pixar was so mad because of Cars’s loss, that in Ratatouille, in the end credits, there is a coupon saying 100% non-motion captured.
In my opinion, Cars is the best animated film of 2006. It will always have an Oscar Award in my heart.
Same here, bro
@DinoDragon2005 MC_Plush_Films Thank you! Screw Monster House, since it scared me so much as a kid.

Happy Feet is a one-of-a-kind motion picture experience. George Miller continues to paint outside the lines of traditional filmmaking, and his genius expands upon the animated art form to illuminate a world where penguins embrace dance and differences to survive and thrive. But that is just the tip of the iceberg, as the environment, religion and the chasm between generations enrich this sweet and subtle tale: one that is fun and funny, brilliant and beautiful, groundbreaking and global in its message.

Dude, you have no idea how happy your comment made me, I was outraged by the outcome of this Oscar. Your comment left me with a smile on my face.
This looks like augmented reality. How did you manage to animate the characters in the audience without seeing a human in the same chair?
They did that with Toy Story and the rest in 2001.
George Miller loves Warner Bros. Pictures
I can just close my eyes and imagine Dory and Fiona in the same room together.

👑📿💍💎
The History of Happy Feet:
😶🙄😃😀
The History of Monster House:
😀😀😈😨
The music and the dance bring out the yearning we've all had to move the body in sync with the rhythms of the earth. The grand finale of Mumble's quest brings him into an encounter with the world of humans and a connection that justifies all his struggles to remain faithful to his true self. The ecological crisis captured in the story of the disappearing fish is finally addressed with an inspiring message that couldn't be more timely: we have so much more in common with the whole Creation than we know, and our survival (and theirs) depends upon our celebrating that deep truth.
Julie Hopkinson it’s great how Happy Feet used the live action sequences
Stefan Tomasi That caught me by surprise the first time.
The Best Director!!!! Goes to George Miller
Sadly, George Miller did not win the Oscar for directing Mad Max: Fury Road, but I heard on a video (I don't know if it's REALLY official) a Mad Max: Fury Road sequel, Furiosa, is set to release in 2024! Let's hope that will happen and Miller will recieve the Oscar for directing it! 🙏
