    We cooked the creamy chicken flavored rice the other night as a side dish to regular food. It was actually good. I bought the lunch and dinner, breakfast, and the variety buckets. Along with these buckets, I'm adding my own, it will be filled with seasonings, Parmesan cheese, syrup, and other supplies that I see fit. That way I can make sure if something is bland then we can make it taste better.

      If you have a stove or something to cook it in, yeah. It's not like top ramen or oatmeal packets where you can pour boiling water into the bag. That won't work here unfortunately.

    I ate MRE’s & T-rats for 18 years in the Army & it wasn’t too bad. I’m retired & a prepper now. I stored many different brands of freeze dried foods & some aren’t bad. I think Mountain House is the leader in that industry. I also bought a home freeze dryer to make my own recipes & do experiments with it. Tonight I opened a pack of my mozzarella sticks that I processed in March of 2019 without oxygen absorbers being added to it. They’re perfectly fine. I know they’re expensive but try to get a home freeze dryer. It’s cheaper in the long run and you know exactly how the food was prepared without worry. My White Castle’s will be worth more than gold when the SHTF. Stay vigilant and exercise your 2A rights. 🇺🇸

      Mountain House is the big dog in the business. Hearing good things about freeze driers! Any brand recommendations? And as long as the bad guys exist, 2A is completely necessary.

    • @FreshandFelicia
      @FreshandFelicia  Před 3 měsíci

      Auguson says they freeze dry. Freeze-dried foods retain about 97% of their nutrients, while dehydrated foods retain about 60-75%. Freeze-drying uses a low-temperature, vacuum process to remove water, while dehydrating uses heat, which can break down vitamins and minerals.
