I loved how you put the bench behind the couch in the third, but the last design was my favotite! I your artistic perspective and your videos so much!
The last layout was the best. When you have people over it's nice to face the fireplace instead of having your back towards it.

LOVE your work, Kristen! Just remodelled my (modern) living room, and went for your option 2, with dining area behind. It works very well. Your hard work is much appreciated, and I love the way you present; you make hard work seem like fun!

Those two mirrors cost more than my soft furnishings in the living room (sofa, 2 chairs and one ottoman)

Thank you Kristen you just helped me out.. I’ve been seriously dreading repositioning my furniture to make room for my Christmas tree.. and your third remodel actually helped me me a decision on what could of been an energy draining experience.

Definitely #4 but I think I would keep the bench/table behind the couch. We are just buying a home with a large room like this across from the kitchen and a TV over the fireplace. With this layout, the chairs can be swiveled to allow more tv viewing. Just found your videos today! Love them.

To be honest,you r so talented and I have learned more tips from you than anyone else ever! Cuz you always make it simple to understand and point out different ways to reset those furniture which obviously makes the space different looks once you get tired of anyone of them.

Hey Kristen, I’m just looking at this video and it’s exactly what I needed. Just bought a home and needed inspiration. I love No 3 as well and was pitching it to my family but they’re not too keen on me not placing a TV in that space. I only want a fireplace and a conversational area. I have an enclosed patio and will be turning that room into the family hangout room eventually. So thanks for the idea; at least I know I’m not crazy to want a conversational living room in today’s “techy, everyone’s-attached-to-their-phones” era 😉🙏🏽

Kristen, I love your ideas, the third layout with the bench, pillows, and artificial plant isn’t exactly what I would’ve done. I would’ve gotten a long sofa table the same size as the back of the sofa then place a beautiful piece of Glass or Metal pieces of artwork of three to place on top of the table. I love the way you explain things to keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing with us. 😉

It's very nice for a good size living room. My living room is small and is near the entrance. Do you have any examples for a room like mine? I like the 1st example.

to be honest i like the fireplace focus layout the most due to the focus on one thing , i think i will be using that in my place next year because i will be using my living room as a tv room and a main gathering area , thanks for the great ideas kris 💙

It didn't help me. My living room is a narrow living room
.... Also, this lounge ( living room) has great symentry , anyway.... some rooms don't have that, and are not laid out well, with things being on the wrong wall like a fireplace or something else, even windows.

Much like youtube videos on cooking and baking I ENJOYED your input. Style will no doubt be dictated by the room size. Tips are always helpful. Since TV is the focal point of my rectangular, fireplace absent, one windowed LR yes #3 is my preference😉

Thanks. I just moved into a new house with a moderate-sized open-concept main room. Been struggling with the layout as the entryway is right behind the living room space. Glad to know I can have the back of a sofa facing it, I just need to get a bench or table behind it!

My favorite is the L-shaped, because I have a small living room space by the fireplace, and a separate TV room area.
