Glenn's voice sounds amazing. He's a brilliant writer of melodies and very underrated guitarist.

This series is seriously one of my favorite things in life. So great to see it back and with two of my favorite artists! Hats off to the incredible supporting musicians as always!

I've never seen Daryl sing so little on this show. Says something about Mr. Tillbrook. Freaking great tune.
Squeeze was one of those bands that was like a locomotive coming straight at you in concert, hit after hit, riff by riff and a certain muse to the lyrics that has never been replicated. No matter if it was Jules Holland, Carrack or any members rotating in, Difford and Tilbrook, imo, will always be one of the great duos in music history. Wish they played Cool for Cats or Annie Get your Gun, but this could have been an hour longer and the cupboard still wouldn’t be bare.

Agreed! I was fortunate to see them recently on a double-bill with the Psychedelic Furs. Brilliant show! They'd definitely have to have Difford in there for "Cool for Cats" though.
Two notes...Brian Dunne is such a fun drummer to watch...and...Jesus H. Christ...Daryl Hall is 77 years old...and is still frickin' awesome!
Love when Porter does the low vocal (which I think is Elvis C. on the original) and Glenn gives him a smile.

Tillbrook's voice is instantly recognizable and soothing; like a honey/lemon lozenge but for the ears.
Glenn still sounds amazing.... Always thought Squeeze was totally underrated....Loooooved them in college- my total fave band. Great music + lyrics and so fun to hear Daryl harmonize!!! This is such a treat to see this--- Live from Daryl´s House is beyond fabulous....his band is stellar. PERIOD. THANK-YOU!!!

@TheTom7878 If you didn’t know Daryl Hall done backing vocals on a Paul Carrack album : Groove Approved 1989 . Plus T T woke done some work on it to . I’ve saw Paul many times as one third of Mick & the mechanics

Difford and Tilbrook, songwriting geniuses. Squeeze were/are a fantastic band. Saw them decades ago playing at Surrey University, circa 1980. He still sounds great, too.

Really enjoyed hearing Glenn sing this one. I’m used to hearing him sing a line or two on the original recording during the ‘band verse.’ He’s apparently been singing the whole song in most concerts for 40+ years and his take on it is wonderful

I thought it was excellently exciting, I was kind of expecting it to be a duet like the orignal with Paul Carrack, but this version works well for me.

I saw Squeeze open up for Elvis Costello and the Attractions at The Warehouse in New Orleans in 1980. Perhaps one of the best shows I've ever seen. The Warehouse was literally an old warehouse that had a capacity of perhaps 3,500.

I was thrilled to see LFDH is back, but even happier to see it was Glenn with Daryl! This is one of my favorite songs, but everything works. I saw Squeeze live in 1980 and was surprised at what a great, fluent guitarist Glenn was.
His singing still sounds pretty good.
This song holds the record for most unique chords in a song I've played. I did Glenn's acoustic version and there are TWENTY-SEVEN unique chords. Daryl was right on in the other video where he said that Glenn's songs were "intricate".

I' love Moroccan and Indian food and I love lamb I get the lamb and curry sauce with the saffron rice and veggies. Cooking/Baking , Gardening and Singing have always been my passions. Tilbrook is one he||uva talent. He's a great composer, a unique singer, and also criminally underrated as a guitarist. His songwriting partner, Chris Difford, might be the sharpest lyricist this side of of Becker and Fagen.
I swear Glenn's voice is still as clear and smooth as it was when this song was originally recorded.

Glenn still sounds on top of his game. I saw him solo last year and Squeeze this year. Seen them about four times at least and Glenn/Chris and company always deliver magnificently.

What an excellent version. Squeeze were such a quintessentially "English" band yet this song could be set almost anywhere. Silvertown Way by Mark Knopfler with Chris Difford and Glen Tilbrook on backing vocals is also really worth a listen.

I love LFDH been watching for many years. I have seen Hall and Oates and they were excellent. I love Daryl singing both his songs and his guests' songs. I have seen people on this show that I had never heard before and I love that about LFDH because I just love music. Can't wait to see future shows!
