the curling gel soufflé changes in texture depending on the temperature When it's cool, it will be more gel-like. When it's warm, it gets runny. Put your runny product in the refrigerator and it will gel up.
The milk used to be 4.99 at target smh now it's 9.99 they caught on 😖😖
I seriously made the same noise you did when the gel spilled and my family at the table got socked and I explained how immersive that gel was and I've dropped 300mL glass bottles of hair oil and had to chuck the whole thing cause it had glass all through it. :(

When you were trying to show us the texture of the souffle, I had a feeling that was going to happen. I hope your computer was fine.
I actually make my own gel by boiling flax seeds creating a gel and I add rosemary oil to it. Ive been using it for months and it works GREAT for my twist outs and wash n go's.
And its WAAAAYYY more affordable. A huge case of flax seeds costs around $4.30 and can last up to a year+.
Although it is a liquid form it is NOT greasy at all. Once it goes in your hair, it dries leaving your hair nice and soft.
For those that get a hard jello texture, just mix it up with a fork or a knife and it will be easier to apply. Also, don't forget to emulsify it in your hands before applying to the hair.
i have the same problem with the souffle! Now it seems that anytime i repurchase it, it's got that more water-based texture to it. If it's going to stay that way, they should put it in a bottle like the curl & style milk! -.- love your hair! :) xo
It depends on the temperature...put in in a cold place and it won't be as runny

I bought the curl and style milk for under 10 bucks at Walmart. It was 11.99 at Walgreens at least in my area. It's been my experience that Walmart is usually the cheapest. Anyway, I've only tried the styling milk and it's awesome! I'm gonna try the soufflé and milk combo.

Would you be so kind to show me how you wash your hair? A step by step guide ... especially on the part where you comb your hair so the curls separate nicely the way you have it. I mean you brush it with the conditioner on your hair, right?

It should be a gel texture. It will melt if it is kept in a hot temperature because it is made up of mostly natural oils.

I have only purchased it twice so far but both times it was a liquid texture (more like a serum than a gel for sure).
I actually like the liquid-y texture because it feels lighter in my hair than traditional gels. I am hoping that I won't get surprised one of the days with a thicker texture.

The soufflé at Walmart is actually $6.94. Just bought some. All Shea moisture products are that price of cheaper but only at Wally World.

I read on my Shea Moisture products that since they are organic, the consistency and texture can change due to climate and other variables.
I use the Curling Gel Souffle as well and I have found that it is MUCH easier to handle in a pump bottle. I just transfer mine to clean product bottle with a pump and it works great. The variation in texture is really strange though. Great video!
The real version of the Gel is supposed to be like Jelly. Keep it in a cabinet away from heat, maybe in you room rather than the bathroom. Also organic ingredients vary based on how long they have been siting on the shelf at the store, so open them and check them and just let the store know if it is liquidy :)
I have really curly hair and totally hated it bc I could never find anything that worked to stop the friz. Your video motivated me to try again! So wanna try those products I hope they work
Yep i noticed alot of the Shea Moisture products went up in price! I picked up the smoothie and put it back down because im used to paying $9.99 not $11.99!

If you put the soufflé in the refrigerator, it will go back to the other gel texture! :)
I'm pretty sure the curling gel soufflé, is suppose to be a liquid, because I just bought one today and it was liquid. I bought it because of the amazing results you got! I'm so excited to use it for school, Monday!

It's supposed to be a jelly texture. I would contact the company and see about having them send you some freebies. Sounds like you got a bad batch. Every tub of it that I've bought has been a jelly consistency.

I just want to thank you for this review my daughter has curly thick hair and I was completely lost as my hair is long wavy this saved the day I tried everything to get the tangles out and nothing work I will be using this product along with olive oil coconut oil rosemary oil and grape seed oil I'm so happy combed her hair out without my hands throbbing and her crying this product is a god send took me 20 minutes as in the past would take 2 hours I'm so happy just to hear her say mom this didn't hurt this time I'm so thankful
Tried it! LOVE IT! For everyday anyway. The Target near me still had it for $9.99. If I'm going to be out all day, especially outdoor events, Kinky-Curly is my go to product. Had to events in one day, the first being outdoors. Wind whipping my hair around, I thought I was going to look like a poodle! No time to fix hair inbetween, but to my relief, my curls were still in place looking great!!! But it is on the expensive side. $16.99 at Target.
You should try the Curl Enhancing Smoothie instead of the Curling gel soufflé
You can thicken the soufflé by leaving the top off.
ACTUALLY i use the curl enhancing smoothie. I Have never really tried any of the other stuff by them. Thx 4 the awesome tips.

There are two different kinds that shea moisture makes. I just found that out a few months ago. One is a lil thicker than the other.

I just want to say a big than you for your posts. My hair is really ultra frizzy and not really curly but wavy and never got any better advice on how to retain my curls over night. Not talking about 3 days. I used used to straighten them for years but this week I had them for 4 days aaaaaaaa! I ended up buying these particular hair products but the stuff in the jar/tub was super solid jelly. Had to microwave it for over a minute total time. Any advice on how to keep it more liquid like? Love the end results though! Daughter is 14yrs old & growing her hair out again & these products made her hair so healthy looking!
