Just a pattern i've noticed the 1st album is always the best for many bands... Wherever you found a muscle car with a couple of guys in it, late 70s, you would find this cassette. This was a great cruising album back in the day. Cruising around was the national pastime in the 70s. Boston was the sound of the late 70s.

Brad Delp is the only vocalist you hear. Multitracked, of course. He was asked one time why they chose for him to be the only vocalist and he replied, "Who better to harmonize with than yourself?" Brad took his life the same day my 99 year old grandma died. As a vocalist myself, who has studied Brad's techniques, nuances and phonetics for many years, I found myself crying and grieving for both.
The voice of Boston! There will never be another Brad Delp! .. RIP brother! A friend of mine was the bass player for them in the late 80's.. They just weren't the same after Brads sudden departure.. Their music was the best to throw into the 8-track tape player and drive to, when taking a road trip.. Now you need to react to "Peace Of Mind"
Took to my 36 year old niece to see her first classic rock band Foreigner back in August & her & her 40 year old friend said it was THE GREATEST CONCERT they’ve EVER gone to!! Pure fire!! 🎶🎶🎶🥰

"Foreplay/LongTime" is their best in my opinion. I saw them in the 70's, they were one of my favorite groups. They were on fire. Brad Delp is no longer with us, the end of his life was tragic. Groups of the 70's had to have real talent to be successful, and did, so live performances were just as good. No autotune.
I was 14 and Boston was the first concert I ever attended. My mind was blown!! They were incredible. Finally inducted to the Rock Hall Of Fame in 2018.
I’m a concert queen from way back. Boston by far is my favorite concert. I know every song word for word and they put on a great show with confetti bombs and lasers and pyrotechnics. But under all the flash is the best music, best vocals and best showmanship. I’ve been to the concerts, front rows. This is all talent. No background tracks, no dubbed in vocals, no electronic enhancement. Any song from that first album is a hit. Only album that is one incredible song after the other. Not one stinker. Not even close. Boston, Aerosmith, Springsteen, Bon Jovi, original Journey. Best concerts. You missed them, I think only Springsteen still tours. And if you have the opportunity to see Springsteen, go! Even in his 70s, he will rock your world. Brad Delp should never have died. We as humans must pay more attention to mental health. RIP Brad, I wish you knew in life how much you were loved. RIP Sib, miss your heartbeat.
Feel good power rock at its best. Nothing too complicated or challenging, solid lyrics, great harmonies, fantastic singing, captures the joyful and exuberant spirit of rock that defines it at its core. Everyone liked them when they came out with their massive debut album, and for a brief time they were the greatest rock band in the world.
As all the vocals are incredibly made by Brad Delp , all the music, production, compositions and engeeniring was made by lead guitarist Tom Scholz, the genius!! He created the unique Boston sound and with Delp voice they became real legends. Scholz got a Suma Cunlaude degree at MIT before creating this music in his basement. One fo my favourite groups.
Don't Look Back is my favorite Boston song, maybe my favorite song of all time. It's always on my playlist when I'm taking a drive, especially on a long freeway trip. Listen to the lyrics, they're amazing. It really talks about dealing with change in your life.

Many of these bands celebrated their 50th annivetsaries last year and are ending their live tours. This was the early days of making videos so usually I think what they would do is they would just play the album version for the audio and then in the video they would either just use concert footage or they would just lip-synch. Boston is a great band!

A friend and I were sitting in the 4th row, center stage, at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in Southern California. They were, as you say, dirty! Tom Scholz is a musical mastermind. My spouse absolutely LOVED Boston...And THIS was the MOST LOVED...To the point that I was ask to make a promise to them that if they were to pass away before me...Unfortunately,they did indeed pass away 1 yr ago this month...and I made sure that the promise I made to them was upheld to the fullest..The promise was that once the services were over,that I set a recorder,boombox whatever,and play THIS EXACT SONG...A part of the promise was that once I pressed play,I was to walk away and just let it play... The funeral services were beautiful,what parts I'm able to remember...But honestly,pressing play and hearing this song play in the distance of where I was standing, was one of the most memorable moments but also one of the harder moments of the whole day...I think it was because it dawned on me,that by pressing play and walking away,I had fulfilled my last promise to the love of my life...😢😢💔😟

In the late 70’s-to mid 80’s as a teenager. I moved around a lot working in British Columbia Canada. Had lot of family all through the province. I lived in a lot of towns and every time I would move. I would pack up my 1969 Datsun B210 with whatever I had and pop this cassette into the tape drive and blast this song on the way out of town to a new adventure.
My uncle introduced me to Boston in the 70's. Of my friend's, I had the only muscle car in 85/86, Boston was a staple in my vehicle. I introduced a lot of music to them.
I can't get enough of this band. The first two albums are phenomenal. Every single tune third album is pretty damn good too. I saw them on tour for the third album three times in a one week period...

I live so close to Boston I can smell it my while life and these guys where a huge part of music here. Seen then numerous times and always a great time. Seen hundreds of great shows some lasting multi days and I would say its a must to goto a fav bands show to experience the energy and bass blasting your chest. Went to see The Band and its like a town fair, and on the other hand seen slip knot and it was like a prison break expect nobody left( Fkn insane vibes). So go and spread those black wings and LIVE
This was one of my top 5 eight track tapes I would listen to in my car in high school. I am 62 and still listen to their first album on my turntable. Saw them on the this tour! Sammy Hagar opened for them. Try Rock and Roll Band or Smokin’ (yes it means what it means) lol

1995 ---- Went to my first Boston concert. It was scheduled to start at 7:30, and right about that time some guys come out in t-shirts and jeans and pick up instruments. I thought, "Oh, didn't know there was an opening act..... Then they kicked in, it WAS Boston, and for the next 2 1/2 HOURS they played everything possible. it was amazing, high-energy, and to date one of the best concerts I have ever seen, if not THE best. I disagree with the person who said this was a studio recording over a concert video - I think this is the real thing. I have seen them in concert - it's legit.
Rock concerts were just the best vibe - exciting and mellow at the same time. Peace was the feeling of all of us back in the day. No fights, no shoving, let's all enjoy the show! Toke a smoke and be super cool. No harm, no foul. Sure miss it! 😢

So much to love abt Boston. Sounds strange, but one thing I love is thumping, hard, out-front base of "Dinosaur Rock." I like base players who make lead guitarists "work hard for his $." Of course, Tom Schutlz (lead guitarist) does it well. Boston is the whole package. "Don't Look Back" is one of my favs.

I live so close to Boston I can smell it my while life and these guys where a huge part of music here. Seen then numerous times and always a great time. Seen hundreds of great shows some lasting multi days and I would say its a must to goto a fav bands show to experience the energy and bass blasting your chest. Went to see The Band and its like a town fair, and on the other hand seen slip knot and it was like a prison break expect nobody left( Fkn insane vibes). So go and spread those black wings and LIVE
You HAVE to see a rock concert live! Nothing like it. Def Leppard and Journey w/40k in the stadium. 8 rows back. Amazing! ❤
This was one of my top 5 eight track tapes I would listen to in my car in high school.

Foreplay/Longtime is spectacular. I played the first Bosto 8-track on a constant loop every day when in high school.
I was lucky enough to see them in concert and they sounded as good as the studio versions. Pure talent. I wore that RECORD out. LOL. Yes I am dating myself but I grew up with the best music!
I saw Boston play back in the mid 1980's prior to the passing of Brad the singer. They sounded great, they sounded just like their record. The leader Tom is a genius, look him up.

1995 ---- Went to my first Boston concert. It was scheduled to start at 7:30, and right about that time some guys come out in t-shirts and jeans and pick up instruments. I thought, "Oh, didn't know there was an opening act..... Then they kicked in, it WAS Boston, and for the next 2 1/2 HOURS they played everything possible. it was amazing, high-energy, and to date one of the best concerts I have ever seen, if not THE best. I disagree with the person who said this was a studio recording over a concert video - I think this is the real thing. I have seen them in concert - it's legit.
Saw them live many times and they always, always delivered ❤❤❤. Party for real🎉
Rock concerts were just the best vibe - exciting and mellow at the same time. Peace was the feeling of all of us back in the day. No fights, no shoving, let's all enjoy the show! Toke a smoke and be super cool. No harm, no foul. Sure miss it! 😢

So much to love abt Boston. Sounds strange, but one thing I love is thumping, hard, out-front base of "Dinosaur Rock." I like base players who make lead guitarists "work hard for his $." Of course, Tom Schutlz (lead guitarist) does it well. Boston is the whole package. "Don't Look Back" is one of my favs.

Tom Scholz was the mastermind behind the sound of the band. Definitely a top rock band of the 70's.
