    What's your biggest question about the D7 visa?

    • @laoliu5783
      @laoliu5783 Pƙed 3 lety +2

      I have 30k Euro in the bank. This balance is equal to qualified passive income? I do not have passive income from other resources, such as rental, interest, etc.

      @@laoliu5783 There should money keeps coming every month Euro 625.00 to your bank account. Minimum approximately Euro 7,500 per annum must be credited. Immigration very particular to verify all this aspect.

      For your financial means, you need to transfer the money to a Portuguese bank account. If you can get the money from the investment account to a Portuguese bank account, then it should work fine.

Having never been I'm hoping I can just fly out and use my 90days on my usa passport and if things are going great then ill buy a house there in that time and just apply for the D7 or perhaps something else while im still in Portugal? Don't have the $ for the citizenship programs etc I saw but have enough to buy a house in cash.

    • @JuliaRochelleAbroad
      @JuliaRochelleAbroad  Pƙed 3 lety +1

      It’s definitely not too early to research where in Portugal you may want to live, check out the NHR tax regime, learn the language, research homes and the types of builds if you’re planning to buy a property. Lots of new things to learn! Some paperwork needs to be done closer to the application, but there’s no harm in getting familiar with the process early as long as you don’t get stressed about changes. It will probably change in some way if you’re years away

    I am near Austin Texas and find it difficult to find planes to fly from Texas to Portugal. I would not mind fly to Spain first then travel to PT by Bus, do you have any advice on travelling to PT from Central Texas. Austin will be the nearest airport unless there is Domestic plane from Killeen Forthood area which will be the best. I also try DC and NY, just the same difficulties. I used to fly Norwegian to Europe and would like to learn more options. Multiple stops to stay in different countries or cities around PT is doable as I enjoy travel by BUS in Europe.

    • @JuliaRochelleAbroad

      Hi Karl, unfortunately you can't apply straight away for the temporary residence permit. That has to be done with SEF and requires the visa, which has to be processed through the consulate in your home country. When you first get the NIF, you will need a fiscal representative. Great videos. It would be helpful to explain what you need to do once you get to Portugal. I know you have to trade in your license. Things like that.

      @@JuliaRochelleAbroad I am on that group all the time, they are a great source of knowledge. I have been spending so much time gathering everything I need to apply for the Visa I haven' t really looked into what I do once I get there, yet. Thought it would help me and be a good video for you to do. Plus I'd rather watch the movie than read the book, so to speak. :)
