On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

I'd like to see a generational bandit unknown, where you and your bandit have to pick an aircraft from each major time period, from prop then Mig15/F86, then through the jet generations.

It’s exactly what I was expecting. Why fight to your advantage when you can do the opposite. SMh
I was expecting that, or at least in a dogfight, because the most modern jets cant compete with the tight turns of a piston aircraft. You have to dump all your speed, and falls out of the sky, or you leave the circle and get killed with a gun. If you go into a dogfight with ww2, i see the risk to die higher than for the enemy. The thing is, you can evade this kind of situation with range and speed.
I was surprised after the fantastic first fight, how badly the other guy perform in the flanker. It was a textbook mistake.
@@nurderbvbabernurderbvb I mean, this was a guns only, they guy could've just used a Fox-2 against the BF-109. And yes, Fox-2's can lock piston engines.
There's times when I think you're fighting the F-14 more than the F-15 was.

@@Mobius118production F-23 would have been even lighter than the prototype which already had an insane thrust to weight ratio. The Black Widow II would have been a monster in a one circle or vertical fight.
GS died so fast when the Raptor showed up, he didn’t even have time to tell us he was flying the Mirage! 😂
I would love to see a Bandit (un)known where you pick your opponent's plane not knowing what you will be flying.

Tom Cruise can't use differential thrust to save Goose if his engines are out. But Goose could have stuck to proper ejection procedure during flat spin and save his own life by getting rid of the canopy first :D
The canopy in the model Goose died in had separation issues in flat spins. The first production F14’s used airflow to pull the canopy. From what I recall there was a real incident where the canopy failed to jettison and ended fatally for a real rio.
At the time period of the movie, The correct procedure was already in the Bold Face for the F-14A as used by naval aviators and i think Maverick even says watch the canopy or eject the canopy in the movie. But due to the situation thats not what happened and the rest is history. It def came from a real incident tho
The mix of understanding, acceptance and fear in that one statement: 'That's a raptor' was beautiful.
That F-15 bandit was fighting for his life. Also, GS adapting with the F-18 to fight the Spitfire, was fire. 🔥
You need to (somehow) strap a flare dispenser to the Me.109 so that you can party properly at the end

Those were some epic dogfights. That first one was a wild ride, and then the bf109 and the spit making an appearance were awesome.

As a fan and lover of the f14, I'd rather watch you fly it because I know it's usually gonna win a fight, but besides that I could watch you fight jets with a piston plane all day.

Props to the Spitfire for taking those rounds to the wing so well, I would have thought he would have taken the carrier based variant though, as it has slightly better performance.

I would love to see more 2v2 or 2v1 combat, either dogfight or BVR, and how it would change the combat scenario from a 1v1. I’d love to see a F-15 and F-16 engage a F-14 and F/A-18 and see how it goes depending on who goes for who.

Here's a fun idea. Bandit KNOWN. Select 5 planes to use in the fight and assign your opponent a plane to fly.
If they start turning too tight, get them in something that can't.

Yeah man, these fighter planes are definitely pretty heavy duty. I've been watching videos of them building and maintaining them. Lots of wiring, aluminum alloys, titanium, rivets, and giant engines. Pretty cool to see how they go together.

Actually I like the bvr stuff better. It's nice to know who would win in a dogfight but it's much more fun to watch when you merge naturally.

The first 2 were super good, then I saw the time bar and thought - umm that's not much video time left - Ok someone's bringing Raptor!!! And there it was, the king arrived, and the vid was done, v cool.
if memory serves, Mav couldn't pull out using differential thrust as that's what caused the flat spin in the first place--went through another plane's exhaust which killed one of the engines.

Next time can you include the full model number for the planes? Namely the WW2 ones as there were a shit ton of spitfire and 109 variants that ranged heavily in armament and appearance. Especially the later spitfire with the griffon engines. Couldn't tell what spitfire you were vs or your 109 of choice.
