I'm betting on that foam in the fuel tank . Clogging fuel filter and injectors. Bro it's always that dam foam ! And if it isn't the foam it will be soon .
Maybe check to make sure you didn't flip the crank trigger wheel on the crank shaft like Taylor Ray did on his k series Cefiro build. His ECU would loose sync at high RPM because of that. I guess you could just verify that your trigger offset on the ECU is what it should be for a k series and that would tell you if the trigger wheel is flipped.
Get the foam outta the tank... Itll break down and clog your fuel filter. Not necessarily your issue now but it will be if it hasnt started already... And get that wiring handled. I wish I was in Vegas so I could do it for you, I make on point harnesses... what ecu are you running? Can you look at your crank sensor waveform? If not get yourself a cheap oscilloscope off Amazon and use it to look at your sensor data
PRO TIP GUYS, when pouring fuel (or any liquid) from the small 5 gallon like that . Make sure the spout is on TOP. I know it’s weird but trust me it’ll pour out so much smoother! Much love from Pennsylvania! IG:@_huynguyen

Dude, You're so lucky your MR2 didn't burn to the ground. You need to use the correct cabling, you need copper wiring and thicker guage, and not that cheap aluminum wire cable, as aluminum has 60 percent of the conductivity of copper.

You need to check the crank trigger wheel. They can be put on backwards and will make the rpm act really weird. Almost like it’s 180 out.
Make sure you got k20 crank sensor k24 different

A bad tps sensor or a bad ground or 5 volt ref voltage to the sensor that is alternating the potentiometers output!
