Fill the ladder pvc w/ spray foam insulation for strength.... and dump half those extra pieces!

Yup! All joints/opening need to be sealed, or the water will deteriorate the foam. It's strictly for structural strength.

Hi there...I know it has passed 5 years already but I hope you can see this message. Your video is an inspiration to me since I live in the Middle east and I cannot get things easily here. My Intex ladder rusted and I will give a try on making a PVC one for my Sequoia Pool.Would you still have the measurements for the straight PVC sections you used ? What about the screws, which type, size and material did you use ?

I don't really remember, but it wasn't much. Some PVC pipe, sealant, screws & deck wood - maybe $50?

Parts are made from slip support can break bones and muscles tissues. 🦉 Hooting away from the back ground. Careful with your plans 🐊

Sorry I was mistaken in the video. The ladder is 2" PVC, not 1.5".

Thanks! I did make a couple of mistakes. I should have used stainless steel screws. That was the big one. The other problem wasn't with the ladder, but the salty water rusted all of the poles. The pool is now gone, looking to upgrade but I'm broke now... LOVE the sand pump & had just gotten the chemistry perfect and the SWG was working, and the poles were so rusty the sides were falling down. oh well --- next pool is going to be a big rectangular one :)

To strengthen the stairs I would drill small holes and fill with expanding foam insulation
