    This sculpture incorporates six track paths with tipping arms, loops, tall spiral, flat spiral, balls on track, big dipper and a six ball tipping arm switch which empties into a double spiral. There is also a back and forth section which receives a single ball and every so often receives three balls. The balls empty onto the track in a random order afterwards. The sculpture measures approximately 1200mm x 800mm x 300mm and is powder coated in matte black. Some large bearings were showcased around the sculpture at the client's request.

    I'm a bit late to the party on this video @David but once again what a fantastic job. Congrats. I like how you have tied in the full sculpture shot at the end with the split screens. 👍🏻

    David. This is fantastic! 👏👏👏👏 Great music and coordination. I really loved the six marble split switch where the two groups of 3 or more go their separate ways and meet up again down the track. Watched that bit three times 😁... Awesome!

    I'm wondering, how does the surface treatment hold up after time? Is it anodized, power coated, or something else? As always, very nice. Thx for posting.

      With normal "home use" the powdercoating should last a lifetime. A sculpture running for eight hours a day, every day, it lasts around 10 years.

    so what is the price of this sculputure and how much time it took to make

      Dye to privacy issues I cant divulge pricing in an open forum where the client has already purchased a piece of my work. As for time to construct, it was about 2 months, including construction, testing, powdercoating, testing again and then delivery after that.

    How expensive are sculptures like these?

    • @rollingballdave
      @rollingballdave  Před 3 lety

      All depends on the size of the sculpture, and how many hours/days/weeks/months it takes me to build.
