David Richmond (the owner) has owned this car for 12 years. The build was done in his garage by him and a few friends, mostly Mirza Mehmeti from Team Sunworks and Taylor Blackwell. There were other people who helped lend a hand here and there as well, but the majority of the work was done by the 3 of them. The car is getting a full custom roll cage welded in right now, and I have an ls1 going in it. The front suspension has all been changed out to drift specific parts.

I thought this was simply going to be an engine swap with a RWD conversion and not a crazy video with two cars completely cut and chopped up to make a freaking Frankenstein. I admire your skill set and vision, this was crazy.
This is a better swap.. but it could have been lighter using the integra body only

That's exactly how I feel. I thought it was a Fwd To Red conversion. And then I see this. It's not what I would want, but it might be cooler and more creative than what I would have come up with.

Friends growing up hated Honda/Accura Integras and Civics, and they absolutely hated American style pony cars, ESPECIALLY the mustangs. These guys had E30's and VW's that were pretty quick back in the day. This build would be their absolutely worst enemy on the roads and I love it. Good work!

so it's not an integra... it's a mustang with integra panels.
a chassis swap doesn't make it a whole different car... then is like 1 out of 3 million chassis swaps ever done.. it's actually pretty common to do a fwd to rwd conversion
and it's called a body not panels.

No it's still an integra I'd say Bc that's what people see. Think of it as an integra with a mustang engine swap
If he wanted to do a RWD conversion. He could have used an S2k as a donor car and kept the Integra as it was. He was trying to do something unique.
Or just use a CRV tranny with front axle delete.

so instead of engine swapping into a lighter car, you just put the body on a mustang. so you are basically just driving a mustang.

+ISuperior7 no. the integra is fwd. the mustang is rwd. he didnt improve anything. all he is doing is putting a integra shell on the mustang but still driving a mustang. he might as well just modified the mustamg then made all that mess or better yet engine swap it into a lighter chasis and convert it to rwd or better yet all awd
yeah, but if you think about his perspective, maybe he is a honda person. and wants rwd. so he got best of both worlds. either way you got to hand it to him for doing all that work!

Richard, you can add a crv driveline very easily and it wouldnt be fwd and would be alot lighter....like over a ton lighter than this mustang/integra mess
I agree. That is a lot of work, requiring time, tools, engineering and fabrication skills, and most of all, patience with a steady resolve. Personally, I'd throw in the towel just looking at the task on paper. Or try and fine tune it with a sledge hammer. Kudos to David.
This is the craziest build I've seen.... If you paid a shop to do this you'd be in debt for the next 20 years. Mad props to these guys!
this is the most insane thing ive ever seen. The easy way is obvious and to purposely take the hard road like this takes passion any real enthusiast has to respect EVEN IF you don't lile the result. Admirable.

When I used to be into RC cars we would swap the body kits onto them, just pop it off and put on another car body style. Here you went ahead and did the same thing with two actual cars, holy hell that looks like it was a ton of work! Good job man!

Unfortunately he sold it earlier this week… but it’s in great hands! Been following this build since I was 15 (now 26), I moved in with my grandma from Boston to Houston JUST for the car scene back in 2013 and I miss those days. Unfortunately these young kids love “takeovers” nowadays and have ruined the scene and has given us a bad rep. Don’t believe me?
