Apologies about the audio quality, I recorded it exactly as I do with every other video (even with a pop filter) and still it came out a bit terrible.
Looking forward to Metalhead analysis? I bloody am.
Metal head is probably the one I'm most excited to hear your analysis of, since it seems a lot of people seem to really dislike or or really like it.
It’s not that bad, barely noticeable
Didn't even notice, also very thorough and interesting content. These videos of yours always make me think about the topics at hand. Keep up your good work :D
Great episode. What's the outro music in your video dude?
YES I AM SO READY!!!
The real plot twist was having a good ending
Having watched black mirror and how dark it is, I predicted that they are going to die in each other's arms or something like that, like a bittersweet ending. I was pleasantly surprised. THIS is how a happy black mirror episode should be made. Unlike *cough* S5E3 *cough*
@@mark6934 Agreed. The tone of Hang the DJ was so bleak that it was only expected that something would go wrong. But the revelation of the 2 being in a simulation that calculated the 2 having a 99.8% chance of compatibility in real life not only caught me off guard, but tied it up nicely and neatly, for once.
S5 E3 on the other hand was just so un-black mirrorish. It felt like a shitty disney channel original movie, in that the happy ending was so predictable that the whole experience was ruined.
I thought that they will both jump off the wall, dying together rather than be in eternity with someone you don't love.
Yeah I thought it was a bittersweet ending, I kinda didnt get the ending though?
The ending included a huge ethical issue: if the hundreds of cookies used for the simulation have thoughts and feelings, how is it okay to forcibly terminate their existences for the benefit of two "real" people? I don't think it was a straightforwardly happy ending. It depends on whether you're totally convinced that the simulations are mere imitations and not actual, sentient beings.
'Hang the Dj ' is also a sort of term when an audience wont be happy with a dj constancy switching music, instead of letting the good song play out. I think this is an obvious reference to our protagonists switching relationships constantly, when they just wish for their own to play out!
Ooh that makes so much sense, thanks for pointing it out
omg i just fully realised the title i was trying SO HARD.
Oh yeahhhh that makes sense
Thank you
I thought it had to do with playing an upbeat 'WHAM' song immediately after a serious report on the 1980s famine in Ethiopia
Another proof they were living in a simulation was when Amy kept throwing the rock at the water and she was trying to figure out why she only makes 4 splashes no matter what she does, she even asked Frank does he ever get more or less than 4 ? Thought that was a cool way of showing proof they're in a simulation.
ZENKETS not rly tbh... The simulation could have simulated random splashes. Idk why they put "minor" flaws into this virtual reality.
I mean, in the end the algorithm worked perfectly. It's incoherent to show that their system isn't perfect when they want to underlined how accurate it can actually be.
I thought that was a very nice nod. I didn’t even notice that until you said it.
Rubber Ducky yeah I was thinking of how weird that was in the middle of watching the episode for the first time 😂 but now it makes sense.
When she asked if Frank ever got more or less than 4, I figured she was talking about years spent with someone in the system, and had only learned people are in relationships for a 4 year maximum.. It said he had 5 years, so I thought frank kinda realized that he had something special, and was so upset only because he realized he ruined it by looking..
Yeah but that was obvious
The acting from the two main characters in this episode was second to none. It felt so genuine and their relationship could pass as a real one. Highly impressed.
Second only to San junipero ;)
@@bwmanhath3770 not really, those two didn’t feel natural at all
I agree.
@@bwmanhath3770 hell no! Those two in SJ felt so unrealistic.
Did you notice that When She tells the coach to count to four It Happens At Exactly 44:44 In Episode 4 of Season 4? The Number Four seems to be a number of a great Importance since the Expire dates seem to be Most of the Times Multiples of 4
kosmokomic are you 4 real?
Bad wrong
I m not linking this commnet , because the likes are 44... :)
You shall get 444 likes!
lol omg coincidence ? probably not
I like how the system chooses who is the best partner for you, the person willing to break out of society with you.
Indeed
😍😍😍
Unpopular opinion: I lowkey liked this one more than San Junipero
julia hamm no one cares
I loved this ep WAY more than san junipero. I dont really get the hype for it. This episode's characters had way more chemistry and connection.
This episode can't hold a candle to the masterpiece that is San Junipero.
San Juipero was garbage
i agree! this is my favorite bm episode
Bittersweet ending? The ending was 100% lovely.
I Do Monologues don’t you mean 99.8% lovely 🙃
Well if you consider the cookies/simulations in Black miror to be sentient it's a bittersweet because the Frank and Amy we got attached too are doomed to just disappear (die) and at the end and never live their "post system" life
And if you think the cookies or simulations are just codes, then it's also a bit bittersweet to know that none of the episode was real. And the real life Frank and Amy could turn out to be a much worse couple than the one we saw which was so beautiful (maybe they'll happen to be the 0.2% not working) or a much less in love one.
It's probably the happiest ending in Black Mirror, but it was kind of sad because all their interactions weren't real because it was just a simulation. But then they meet in real life anyway, with no restrictions.
To me, it's bittersweet in that, throughout the entire episode, the simulation Frank and Amy are taught that in order to show true love, they need to rebel against the system and rebel against the idea that the system knows your true love. Yet when real life Frank and Amy meet, they are doing the exact opposite and following/buying into that very system (ie. believing that the dating app can find you your near 100% match.)
another bittersweet aspect of it is that they didn't beat the system, the couples' rebellion was the system's final test in order to prove their true love
I like how it also shows that in relationships it can’t just be about sex
it's sad that some people don't know that. like there's a difference between f buddies and an actual relationship
@@3deified Well you should be FRIENDS first before you go into a romantic relationship.
@Gadget-Walkmen I don't agree. You can't be real friends with your sexual partner. It's a different kind of relationship.
Literally finished watching like 4 minutes ago. Immediately changed to CZcams to watch the commentary from you
Holy shit you just uploaded this. I watched this episode hella at the right moment
Skatefast Eatass I did the same lol
Same
Same
omg sameee
My favorite scene from this episode was when Amy asks the "coach" to
Count to 4 then skips her in the pool. Beautiful episode. ⭐️
The mark in the episode when it happens is 44:44 too
Torrix that's amazing!!!!!!
Gloria Camacho and its season 4 episode 4
Even crazier
Mine is when he guy drinks the pussy juice then goes ahhhh
Did anybody cry a little watching this episode? Oof it played with my emotions
Omg yes! Each time I’ve watched it I’ve cried.
im a man and i cried cause it made me think about my ex
Especially when his time keeps getting cut...my god.
ugly cried like an angry baby
yea when the time started going down i lost it
imagine being the 0.2% that didn’t rebel
m h I always thought they would just be let go with no soulmate
*everything happens for a reason*
moon child bullshit no it don’t
Tell that to a child with terminal cancer
My ex said the same thing when we broke up
Yeah man my dog is dead but it’s all an illusion isn’t it? {sorry if I sounded rude just trying to bring some positivity because CZcams comments is almost always negative)
@@mactire1288 maybe thet couldve been the next hitler, jk issa joke
Did anyone else feel a little annoyed at IRL frank and amy because they werent my frank and amy?
yeah!
Yes -. -
Yup, cause they were not Frank and Amy. I have grown to like simulated Frank and Amy, actually started caring about them and then bam! turns out they are cookies, destroyed once the app performs the calculation for their real life counterparts. Felt no connection to the real life Frank and Amy, cause they are different people, I dont know anything about them.
They are literally exact copies though. The simulated versions are based on them not the other way round.
Yeah it's weird. I had a connection with the virtual versions but not the real versions
My favourite episode of Season 4.
The chemistry between the main characters just makes this episode so much fun to watch. The amount of sympathy you get from them what they go through is genuine and you want to see them get together at the end.
Also playing Panic by The Smiths in the final scene just makes the episode perfect.
The Cinematic Mind most definitely
Sooooooo much chemistry woweee!!
lucia 28 WOOWWEEE INDEED.
The opening scene draws us to them immediately. Frank is clumsy and tries a bit hard to be funny, but Amy understands, goes along with his jokes, and doesn't mind minor problems. Chemistry like that is really rare.
What I found interesting was that, despite simulation Frank and Amy rebelled against their technology system, real-world Frank and Amy might as well be compelled BY the algorithm to date one another
Ben Wasserman yea in a way, you can say the relationship between simulated Frank and Amy is more real than the one between Frank and Amy. It’s ironic considered the cookies have more free- will than the real pair
What I find crazy is that this dating technology essentially forces totally sentient cookies to endure millions of horrible relationships without any choice.
@@QuinnShaw yeah its pretty much like white christmas. torturing cookies.
Ben Wasserman Wait I don’t get it ? They might as well date each other what do you mean?
I think it’s kind of genius, actually. It basically ensures that they would choose each other whether or not the system said they were “meant to be”
Idc what people think, I liked this better than San Junipero for one reason, the leads. Both these actors felt like they genuinely were into each other. I didn’t really feel that with the white girl (forgot her name) in San Junipero. That’s just my opinion tho...
Daniel Visin Why do people keep bringing up that shitty episode? Let it die!
wrong.
The character's name was Yorkie I think but the actress' name I forgot
I think the chemistry between these two made the episode a hundred billion times better
babyboijeremy I agree that episode was shit.
I'm so glad this episode doesn't have any dark shit like the rest of series. Probably the happiest ending so far.
How was it a happy ending, do your maths there are 8 billion people on earth 0.2 mismatches are still an awful lot and the final couple didn't have that sparkle... So it really is a sad ending.
@NanoNerd USS Callister didn’t have a happy ending, Rob died in the end.
@@nirupampratapgiri9420 USS Callister did have a happy ending.
@NanoNerd USS callister had a cringe ending.
Everything happens for a reason. Recalibrating.
I had a feeling it was a simulation when she noticed that the rocks always skipped 4 times. even when she threw the remote thing into the pool, it skipped exactly 4 times which i thought was a cool detail
JHAWK997 what does a rock that skips 4 times has to do anything with a system.
Pro Ness it always bounced 4 timrs. No matter how hard or gently she threw it. Always 4. Never 2, 3, 5 etc. This would show that the simulation is programmed to always have 4. (Probably because the creators of the simulation viewed is as the perfect number of hits)
good point. I took that to mean she figured it out and "count to four" was her way of saying "screw you" to coach
I don't think it would mean it's a simulation, but instead a cool reference at how many times the number 4 is repeated during this episode
Legit just finished this episode opened CZcams and there it was
BeatsByJunkoTM Lucky I finished the whole season in a day
same
The same. Very weird
First i googled imdb trivia, then go to youtube and here it is, in suggested.
Technology is always watching you... 👀🙃
When he needed to know the expiry, I had heart attack when it came up calabrating and he started to panic I had to switch it off too upsetting.
I was upset too! I was like noOoOoO! Why?! I knew this would happen but please no! 😹
I just wanted them to escape, take down anyone in their path, and live happily ever after. But it is black mirror lol.
Remember last season when people didn't like San juniparo because it "had a nice ending"
Where are you now haters????
Joking aside I liked them both. San juniparo had A lot more depth and feeling for me but I liked both
I just found San Junipero kind of boring, while hang the DJ had me entertained throughout. Still enjoyed San Junipero just not as much as everyone else praising it.
Chloe Froning That episide was trash! This is about hang the dj, lets talk about that.
I became physically sick by watching San Junipero. It was a fine episode and all but just the tech creeped me the fuck out.
I thought the tech was kind of nice. Touched on issues of euthanasia and provided a way for people trapped within their own bodies to live properly. Lets the old escape their own frail bodies to relive their youth. It was great.
Hacobba ya it's definitely what style you like, I loved how successful this ep was as a romantic comedy, something they haven't even done before. Gay and sad just plays to me more hahaha
At first I thought you can only know the expiry date when you both click the app simultaneously?
j carr Yeah, that's why it broke.
6:15 is interesting how the time decreases the more he looks at it, seems kind of similar to that greek myth where orpheus' lover would disappear if he turned to look back at her
wow! never thought of that, great connection
he broke his promise and therefore her trust, which destroys and shortens any relationship
The reference to the Smiths made me remember they played "Girlfriend in a Coma" in San Junipero, then I realized she was literally a girlfriend in a coma which is why annoyingly skipped the song. Hang the DJ = A+. One of my favorite BM episodes.
Steven Lopez best band ever.
honestly יעל מי
I love the smiths, I was really excited about this episode
feel like the producers produced hang the dj coz when they produced crocodile they were like oh fk we need something to stop everyone getting depressed and killing themselves
baby killer
I wonder how the simulation worked where they didn't get together
Maelyne Coggins Probably Amy's bisexuality showing.
Glitch
I'd love to see how those 2 times worked out. Even if i can't see them apart after watching this
i think in the universe of black mirror, they use "the cookies" to make the simulation
If the simulants are perfect reflections of their real life selves with personalities replicated to a T, wouldn't this be a good way of exposing rapists? Or are the simulants still under strict control not to harm others
That feels very Minority Report but great question. I reckon that you answered your own question somewhat as somebody or something would stop things like that happening in THIS simulation. But if a set of simulations were designed to test if an individual would rape another (for whatever morbid reason one would have for doing so) then I would say yes; only in terms of finding one's innocence though. I wouldn't say they could be "exposed" as you say, but more to make judgement.
I was thinking something similar while watching it, though I was thinking more domestic violence than rape specifically. My first thought when the concept "you're not allowed to leave a relationship" came up was what would happen if one of them was violent. I was a bit annoyed that they didn't address it at all, given how common it is and how much women dating men especially worry about our safety or protect ourselves. If "he makes a weird noise sometimes" or "she's grumpy" is the worst relationship the scriptwriters can come up with, it's surprisingly clueless of them.
I guess it would be in the same category as a lie detector. It shouldn't hold up in court on its own, but could be used as part of circumstantial evidence.
Dale Cunningham it's probably not enough for them though. You know like how pedos say pictures are enough for thrm....but eventually they need the real thing.
Well maybe who can tell, maybe they would get bored with it and decide its not that interesting after all?
When you said you watched Peaky Blinders I legit started dancing that made me so happy
I love peaky blinders lol
I was trying to figure out where I knew him from the whole episode of lol. It's weird seeing him without his signature peaky haircut and suit.
One of the most wholesome and sweetest episode ever from black mirror. Just shows they can make a happy episodes not all just dark and depressing ones.
I was having a great time watching this, but then I remembered that this is black mirror and I shouldn't get my hopes up for a happy ending
But then it had one
Which really caught me off guard
I was half expecting for them to not be into each other in the real world.. Maybe she just judges from the first impression that she doesn't find him attractive or something and all of that was for nothing. :D
So just to confirm, they were basically cookies?
yes
This episode reminds me a LOT of Eternal Sunshine.
I feel like Harry has had a bad experience with wikihow sex guides.
The Moon I still couldn't, even from this episode, understand why relationships focus on that action. Why do you need to know how good someone is in bed before you stay with them? Or why do they need to at all? This episode and series just digs that logic in. I was hoping for a cute fluffy episode, not a porno.
I've been told that my purely romantic relationships are fake because of the no fuck thing.
Roadent1241 Yeah I don't get why they focus so much on that, it's totally possible to fall in love without having sex. I actually find it more romantic that way, since you already feel a strong emotional connection once you do start having sex
@@Roadent1241 This is only the 4th BM episode ive watched so I cant speak for the rest of the series. But I dont think that was a message they were trying to give. Frank and Amy felt a connection without having sex during their first date. In fact all they seemed to need to do was to hold hands. Also if I remember correctly them having sex during their second date wasnt even shown or focused on. It seems to me that if anything theyre sending the opposite message. Another example that supports this is how Amy and her second date have great sex and dont end up being compatible.
I love the small detail that every time they skip stones it bounces four times - it's a lovely indication of the simulation
oof i wish dating apps were this advanced, imagine being able to find the perfect person so easily and relatively quickly
but then you might not find them to be the perfect person. Especially when an app tells you it is. People will always want to rebel it.
This episode was so cute and one of my favorite of the season so far but the plot twist made me kinda sad bc they didn't live all that irl
I really liked this, and unlike other episodes I didnt really expect such a twist
All caps when you spell the mans name!
Personally, my favorite from season 4. ♥️
Gee Cee Same here.
The big reveal at the end makes this one hard to call as for the "happy ending". Obviously the "real" couple is very compatible and will work out. But, the virtual couple was put through the horror of being stripped away from each other ONE THOUSAND TIMES. And 998 times they still chose each other.
Of the all the Black Mirror episodes, ‘Hang the DJ’ has the most standout score, it felt like all the music was made afterwards in order to get the right tone and atmosphere of a specific moment
I love your videos on Black Mirror. When talking about any episode most reviewers say "it's beautifuly shot", while you actually point out how the way a director shoots an episode is directly related to the themes the writers are trying to convey. Excellent video and yes I'm excited for the analysis on Metalhead !!!
I love how you blended many of the pieces from the episode. Alex Somers and Sigur Ros did a fantastic job with the soundtrack!
I hope someday I find my ultimate match...
Nice. Ive been watching each of these after each episode. Eventually I caught up and have been waiting for this one
This is a better love story than San junipero
Fusion456 san junipero was a darker story
No, gtfo.
why?? because it is straight?? Get the fuck out of here
Shane Johnson why tf are you assuming shit bro? That has nothing do with it. How about you stop assuming what people are thinking and shut up
This one had an happier ending so hold the same opinion as u brah.
Been checking all day to see if this had been uploaded. So happy!
These video essays are incredible and the work you put into them shows. 5 stars, dude.
I just love the symbology and foreshadowing they use in Black Mirror. So well placed and thought out in every episode. I don't care for any new shows, because I barely watch shows anymore, but the high quality short story format of Black Mirror has been amazing. Gotta be one of my favorite shows of all time.
I really liked this episode because it seemed like the happiest ending, and for once, technology didn't run amok and destroyed everything.
And for the bloody record the name of the song is "Panic".
Luvie1980 What?! Hang the DJ is actually called "Panic"?!
It's not "Panic" it's "Panic!", like "Panic! At The Disco" without being "At The Disco"
yes! what do you does matter !! I was so excited when I got the notification for this video, I love love your analysis of the black mirror series.
I think the system wants you to rebel, the person that makes you say "fuck it let's be together anyway" is your best match
I love your analysis videos! Thank youu
The music in this episode was really amazing. It was very endearing and felt almost nostalgic. Great episode.
I literally looked up whether you had done an analysis on this episode earlier today, glad you uploaded this today
We’re in a simulation testing how humans react to simulation theory
cant wait for the next one, thanks m8 love this vids.
this->one, these-> many, this vid, these vids. I seriously wish people would learn things before they throw them out into the world. It's shitty enough as it is.
This episode is seriously one of the best things ive ever seen. Never felt so connected to a story and characters before!
Just met the channel and loved it. Keep up the good work
I thought the episode would end with them seeing they have a 99.8% match but not talking to each other anyway.
Cuz it’s Black Mirror. 😄
Same. Showing how all of that was for nothing.
I didn't think much of this at first but now im in a relationship i can properly relate to the characters
Anime. exe nice so u think u can relate now cus u got in a relationship about 2 weeks ago?
Yeah, but why u think its 2 weeks for me
Anime. exe cos the episode's not been out for long
Stunnzu at the end of the day, time doesn't mean all too much in a relationship if the two people really feel that it's right. This is even seen in the episode where Frank and Amy have an instant connection that stays with them for the entirety of their time with their other partners who they're pretty much apathetic towards.
Giggert Mcbabby good point
Definitely worth the thumbnail tease and the fact that's it's a day late, good job Harry
Dude, you content is fire. How do you not have at least a half a mil already?!!
This is my favorite episode by far. I smiled a couple of times
What a fascinating episode on so many levels. There is great beauty in our soul's freely giving to each other love. But like the Beatles sang about in "All you Need is Love," being in love is a process of letting go and learning. To think, it only took the system 998 attempts to harmonize Frank and Amy's souls.
It’s already happened! Loving your breakdowns. Keep it up thanks
Damn I was waiting for this
Undoubdetly, that is very rare and best type of episode with actual happy end
'Panic' playing in the background and that amazing smile of hers just before the credits. Wow.
I've legit just been waiting for this
i love that you included a kurzgesagt clip at 8:22 in this episode review. i love hang the dj and kurzgesagt! 👍🏽👍🏽
Can't wait for your analysis of Black Museum
This was my favorite episode of the new season, and was also the first episode of the show that I watched
Thanks for clearing up the meaning of the title for that episode! The confusion was pretty frustrating..
Yay Ive been excited for this analysis.
Hang the DJ and San Junipero are two of my favorite episodes of the whole series, mostly because they make me feel good and not empty inside afterwards. However, I think I like the ending of Hang the DJ better. San Junipero’s ending was more bittersweet to me since I couldn’t let go of the fact that Kelly “deserted” her dead husband and daughter to be with Yorkie in a fake afterlife instead of passing on normally. At least in this episode both characters are on the same page at the end.
Kay Cronin San Jup is garbage
Why would you say she deserted them? Did she make a pact with her husband to pass normally? No, she didn't.
San junipero characters were annoying af
Technically, San Junipero is only a simulated experience inside of a "metaverse" and each time a person plugs themselves into the metaverse and spend time within it, the system is learning everything it can about your personality and is creating an exact blueprint of who you are as a person. When you're actually alive in the real world, they are only allowed to enter San Junipero on a limited time frame. But once you die, they release that digital blueprint into the metaverse permanently. In some ways, it's a simulated heaven, but ultimately, when you die in the real world, you're still going to cease to exist and if there is a heaven, you'd still pass on to it. If you decided to "stay" inside of the metaverse, it wouldn't actually be you anymore, just a digital file that looks, acts, and behaves like you would, in your early 20's. Or at least what you wished you had looked like, since it gives you an option to appear as your very best. Ultimately, Kelly still died in the real world and passed on, she just gave permission to keep her digital-self inside the metaverse. Dead Kelly isn't experiencing anything inside of San Junipero, it's just a digital copy of her personality.
after watching an episode of black mirror i always go to watch ur videoes
I don't know what bums me out more, the small number of black mirror episodes because I love the show or the small number of black mirror episodes because I love your analysis videos
I just loved this episode so much ugh
Brooker said that the title 'Hang the DJ' is a reference to Spotify's algorithms automatically producing music playlists tailored to a mood, which will never quite match human emotions, similar to the dating app. DJs essentially curate a kind of music playlist when they do a mix.
I think this episode was really cute and it's defs one of my favorite episodes of Black Mirror. I love it when they have love stories that end nicely haha.
I wouldn't go that far. Some of it is cringe
Loved the episode. It's in my top 5 Black Mirror episodes.
this episode almost made me cry, definitely the best episode yet imo
Honestly, favorite episode of the season
At first I thought the wall around the park was a metaphor for setting in a long term relationship/ marriage, and the fact that people have grown scared of settling down has made them outsource the choices to a machine. Maybe I got that idea because I have seen The Lobster, which was very full of metaphors.
The twist at the end was great though, and I was really impressed by the chemistry between the lead actors. Happy to see a happy ending in black mirror for once.
I honestly loved this episode, i think it’s my new favorite episode
Fucking hell dude this episode let me know what it feels like to be a shipper. Such a wonderful hour of TV
I think the saddest part of this episode is that the simulation they went through doesn't really prove that their real-life counterparts will work out as a relationship. By creating such a rigidly controlled environment, the results are skewed because it's through those shared experiences under this regime that brings them so close to each other. Their real-life counterparts will be in a totally different environment in totally different situations, so the simulation doesn't really tell them anything about their compatibility in a real scenario.
The simulation seems to run through hundreds/thousands of simulations. So they could be varied enough that the folks who use the app have a long lasting relationship.
The cookies have conversations and reactions like the real people would. It might not be they people doing a 9 to 5 job but it's enough for a reliable dating app.
I had the same thought!!!
For the fact they go through 1000 simulations - is enough data a proof of compatibility. Out of the 1000 simulations together - only TWO didn’t rebel! Just two?!! So that’s a strong compatibility personality match up because no matter what scenario it seems like they would be attracted and mesh well together. I think that’s the point.
I can kinda relate this episode not the stimulation part obviously. I met my bf on tinder and we met and felt a connection when we talked and saw eachother for the first time and we held the hand and i felt so good and safe. Now we're nearly together for 2 years and in a long distance and im so happy that i found him. I want to be with him forever. This episode made me in tears.
Nabina Shrestha congrats on finding someone you love!
Se Eun thank you 😊
I found the person I wanna be with forever & feel upmost comfort, relaxation, & contentness with, but I wish I could have other dating experiences since he was my first serious relationship. I don't wanna ruin us though.
Same! That feeling of knowing someone like it’s happened before. I met my husband when we’re 14 and 15 and are still together 10 years later! When we both looked at each other, we knew we’ve knew each other in a past life. We’ve never gotten the same feeling ever except for each other. He’s like the center of the sun for me. Our love was born with the universe, it’s has no end or beginning it always was. We were made to love each other, I’ve never felt anything more otherworldly and undeniable. This episode gave me the chills…I know that feeling of having going through it over and over again with someone. We had to fight for our relationship too as our parents did not support. All we have is each other with everyone against us loving another.
I love this episode. Hands down my favorite.
Thank you for your 1:40-ish analysis on nature and design. As a landscape architect, those details are greatly appreciated in film. This episode created the most tangible place out of any in BM and it's the most artificial at the same time.
One of the better episodes BM has done. The fact that is was a simulation this whole time wasn’t as big of a let down as some people may think. As they are both seen with each other at the end, implicitly showing that the true chemistry.
The reason I like this episode is that it shows Black Mirrors range. The way this show can make you feel happiness, sadness, fear etc is remarkable. Although Season 3 is better (can’t beat San Junipero, Men Against Fire, Shut Up and Dance) ,this season still is good.
Honestly my fav episode of the series
My favorite ending to a Black Mirror episode. I love that the title is because it was the song playing when they met! And they actors were excellent and at the end they communicated “love at first sight” so beautifully
it was so weird though, the frank and amy i loved and hoped would be together ended being simulations. but the fact that they chose to break the system together in 998 out of 1000 worlds was really cool!!
3:43 swear he wasn't late on purpose? he was out when coach told him about the date wasn't he?
