It was a sad day when he passed. Thanks for covering this. He is a hometown legend!!❤
It depresses me when I think about Mrs. Baskets being gone. Brilliantly funny show and could never continue on without him.
When Dabney Coleman passed away recently, I re-visited his 1984 movie "Cloak and Dagger." I was shocked to see Louie in a very small role as a cab driver. One line.
I remember that film. One of my favorites from growing up. Never realized Louie had a brief appearance in it, good catch!
I met Louie on a plane trip from Minneapolis to Las Vegas in December 2008. He was doing comedy shows at a hotel there at the time. Sitting in the very first seat by himself. I talked to him for a few minutes and he was very nice, but didn't crack any jokes. I felt a kinship with him coming from the same kind of family, with Dad being a drinker and Mom the supportive one. Loved his comedy. Sad to see him go at a pretty early age. RIP Louie.
Nice tribute😀
It was,a sad day he passed. Right after Norm McDonald and Bob Saget. I loved the cartoon Life with Louie. I read both books about his parents. I can't imagine Louie not leaving his estate to his family.
I know why his Mom stayed in the marriage, back in that generation they had a saying "You made your bed, now lie in it"🌻Right or wrong that generation just stuck with it and tried to make the best of a bad situation. That generation grew up with wars, rationing and The Great Depression so they'd seen worse. Louie was great.
You’re exactly right.
Yes my mother used to say that
Don’t get it. Live in pain. I guess Satan ruled.
I know a friend of mine got to see Louie Anderson live do a speech when he was in Minnesota
@@melaniemansfield3319 Not Satan, just a misplaced sense of loyalty due to societal expectations.
What a really nice tribute to Louie Anderson!! Thanks Jordan and Katie, very well done!
I got to see Louie perform in Vegas back in 1992. He tore the house down! One story he told I still remember today; he was acting out the parts of a husband and wife when they first got to Vegas and how excited they were. Then he showed what they were like leaving Vegas with the wife pulling on her husband’s tie saying, “Come on Mr Lucky!” in his typical Louie voice. Absolutely hysterical!
I also thought you would mention his cameo in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Pre-pandemic, I did alot of audience work on Funny You Should Ask.. They'd shoot 4-5 episodes a day and inbetween episodes I was lucky enough to get to talk with him n a few other of the comedians on a few occasions and his loving energy and warm comforting voice were nothing less than gravitating and soothing...... The nicest guy n one of the handful of comedians that I will continue to truly miss.... 💕
“I started out mopping the floor just like you guys. But now... now I'm washing lettuce. Soon I'll be on fries; then the grill. In a year or two, I'll make assistant manager, and that's when the big bucks start rolling in!”
Coming to America right?
You know your movies.
@@eds1512YES! love that bit
It's so nice to see Katie along on these vlogs! 💖
She is gorgeous!
It’s nice to see quite a bit of her
My sister's boss Todd was friends with Louie from the time they were small kids. When Louie created Life with Louie, he created a character named Toddler who represented my sisters boss Todd. Louie faxed the paperwork that Todd had to sign for the show. Don't know what that part was about but just thought I'd mention this extra little tidbit.
I met Louie at the Excalibur in Vegas during a meet and greet after his show. He was the nicest guy!
Louie Anderson was a comedy genius! May he R.I.P.
Thanks Jordan and Katie! You two are a dynamic duo. Love seeing the clip of little Jah. Safe travels. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
hi
Seeing the picture of his parents, you can see he looks like his mum.
Nice seeing Katie. 😊
Louie always made things so happy, such an incredible smile. Ty for this Jorden and Katie, great job
RIP LOUIE, you are sadly missed😿💔😿
Glad to see your little doggy doing well, i see some white hairs on him but looking cuter than ever! 😊
Great video. Thanks Jordan , Katie , JUH 👍💕😇 I hope the sisters win the Estate .Those people are disgusting to alter the will and steal his estate. So Greedy. To fill in for Carson , means you’ve “made it” . How nasty of Carson to black list people because of Joan’s Show . Jeez !!! RIP 😇louie Anderson, we love and we remember you .💕🎭🤣🎥📺😍
JAH I mean 💕
Great job on this one
Louie was one of a kind
Sad his will was taken away from his sisters 😵💫
Jordan Thank You for sharing. Louie Anderson always made us laugh.
luv Louie Anderson he was sweet man so funny, I hope his sisters win their case his estate rightfully belongs to them as was intended
Good job guys, I always enjoyed his stand up. His one bit was recanting family potluck dinners and his mom spotting someone bringing only chips.
Thanks for this fun Louie video!! Loved him in Coming To America.
Louis Anderson was a really funny guy. Such a sad day when he died. Thank you for covering this!
Great for see you guys and Jaw of course my girlfriend and I live here and my girl worked sound and stage and said he was a delight to work for 👍🏻😎🇺🇸🦅🙏😇
Thank you for this great video on Louie Anderson. So nice to see you happy with Katie Jordan, I wish you all the best!
I remember going to a family feud taping when he first started hosting. When we went to the taping, it was supposed to be jeff foxworthy hosting but they changed it to Louie Anderson.
I had forgotten Louie has passed away so recently. Really only remember his stand up stuff from late night shows. Not a big tv fan going forward so didn't know what he done later on. But I enjoyed him. He was very funny and liked when he joked about his family. Thanks so much for this!
J, K &Jah, you’ve made so many great MN videos, but this tribute was my favorite! Louie was such a funny & kindhearted soul! I didn’t know about his estate & I hope justice is served . TY!
Thanks for this video! I loved Louie Anderson. So sad about what happened with his will…
Many thanks Jordan and Katie for this exceptionally interesting memorial vlog.
This was so interesting & yet so sad. He was such a comedy genius. Heartbreaking to hear about his life with his dad & the issue with his will. He was so naturally funny & kind. Love the stories about Perfect Strangers & Eddie Murphy. Great vlog. 💙
Very interesting.I always liked him. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
I remember seeing him on the Late, Late show with Craig Ferguson. The seemed to be friends. I was sad when I heard of his passing. I hope rests in peace now. Thank you for doing this for us. You and Katie take care and be safe always.
I'm glad you vlog this Jordan, because I'm a big fan of Louie! I was shocked to hear he died. Sad, is the suspicious tampering with his will. I hope the sisters will triumph in the end. "Mom Louie is looking at me again" stand up comedy show was what got me hooked on him, I laughed so hard! I laughed at so many lines from that show, like his fathers impersonations: ''look at that guy...Don't look at him! Just look at him!!! Jeeze!" or His mom: "The Johnsons are home! They are rich ya' know!" RIP Louie "The Claw" Anderson!
great episode Jordan & Cadie and y'all have great chemistry,,,,take care my friend..
'Christine' was one of the greatest, top-ten developed characters recorded.
A stand-up, stand-up.
Alot of comedy comes from pain, loneliness, and negativity.
Jordan and Katie, did you know that Louie Anderson was in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? He was in the flower delivery scene.
I met Louie in the Ralph's supermarket on LaBrea and 3rd Street in LA in 1995. He was very nice. I loved tht show baskets. I saw them filming Baskets in Pasadena in 2022 at City Hall. His Will being change sounds a lot like Michael Jackson's Will being changed with a signature that wasn't his signature. I guess Randy Quaid was right. In this case, not about star-wackers, but about crooks stealing the estates of stars. Do not create a Will for your loved ones create a Trust. A Trust allows your estate and belongs to go directly to who you want, without lawyers and the courts taking money from your estate to sort things out. Great video
Thanks sharing very sad about estate still dealing with my family estate
A talented and funny man. I’m loving all your videos from Minnesota.
Seems odd that he wouldn’t have had several plots for him and his family? I wonder who made the arrangements. How disgusting that the manager is getting away with the will… when a will is contested like that, I wonder if the money is locked up or if the thieves are off spending it all.
Jordan another quality video with excellent content presented and edited so professionally. Your integration of Katie just keeps getting better and Ms. Katie has really stepped it up a lot in this episode. Her insightful remarks and great presentation are a true asset to this channel. Thanks for an excellent job well done, by you both.
Baskets was the best. He was so good as Christine!
I actually saw him in Nashville once at the comedy club i laughed so hard my sides hurt
Hi Jordan and the beautiful Miss Katie :) Your videos always bring a smile. *Heartbreaking about Loui's agent stealing $$$
RIP Louie 😢❤
Louie was wonderful in Baskets. He is greatly missed.
I became a huge fan of Louie Anderson after seeing him in the movie Coming To America.😂🤣😂 His performance in Baskets was outstanding.
It's such a shame when someone passes and the money grubbers come out
I was not a Louie Anderson fan however, Jordan has a way of making videos about people so very interesting. And I love when Katie and jah appear in the videos. Thanks!😊
Life with louis! Was one of my fav childhood cartoons! Loved baskets as well!
Louie sent me a personal postcard after his mon died because I sent him a sympathy card for her death. I worked at the Twin Cities Reader at the time and he was a fixture in the office when he was in town. The postcard was a photo of him and her together. Loved him so much!
Jordan you are without doubt the best reporter ….so complete in your story telling no short cuts I am always impressed.
Very kind of you!
Another great video! You have the best content, Jordan!!! Keep up the good work, good to see Katie too 😊
I liked Louie RIP ❤
I was a big fan of Louie, especially his FX show Baskets with Zach Galifinakis. His debut with Johnny Carson is on You Tube. It was his big break and a strong performance.
This was a great video on Louie and I thank you Jordan and Katie for sharing with us.
Great video thanks Daze God bless you brother!!✌️🇺🇲
One of the first things I remember him from was the movie called The Wrong Guys, it was worth watching just to hear John Goodman sing Tammy!
RIP from a fellow 1971 graduate from St Paul Johson High😮
Great video as always Jordan! I always thought Louie was funny growing up.
Charles Schultz was from St Paul as well
It’s unfortunate when there is fighting over estates. He was always funny. RIP LA 🙏🏻🙏🏻
OMG! fantastic video! Louie! wow .......... fantastic video! Thank you! so much information!
I saw Louie in Milwaukee in 1985 with Rosanne Barr as the opening act. It was a great show, and Louie was hilarious.
What a great comedian! He was also the flower delivery guy in Ferris Buellers day off
I saw Louie in alot of movie bit parts, always funny. He was in the Kevin Bacon film Quicksilver as a bike messenger! Also he did a Remington Steele episode playing a snooty rich kid. Pretty good actor.
I remember Louie Anderson he was funny nice resting place for him in miniapolis minasota good vlog jordan
Anyone else notice how so many of these famous people come from very poor and/or broken homes??
Louie Anderson was a very funny guy but anytime I saw him on TV etc. I always felt a sense of sadness surrounding him. Katie, when you smile you light up the whole screen.
Louis was the BEST!!! Saw him at the Guthrie doing stand up 4 times. He also wrote a book called Dear Dad to tell him how he hurt him as a kid and to deal with the demons.
Sad that his sisters did get his money!! Does sound suspicious!!
Thanks you both for this heartfelt life story!!💕
They did not get his money, but yeah, it is very suspicious.
Saw him at the Guthrie theater in the 80s
Great vlog! I loved Louie Anderson … it’s crazy , I was just thinking about him last night , wondering how he was doing after watching a TikTok video someone made. They actually added a picture of him .. but they said he was still living. Hope Jah is doing alright… He looked a little tired. ❤️
Thanks Jordan & Katie for this one! ❤
What an excellent show about Louie! He was loved by my family growing up. My husband is also from St Paul. I’m from the Iron Range. You should definitely check out people who grew up in Hibbing. Some very famous people came from my hometown. Plus our high school is amazing! So beautiful.
That was a really nice video
Thank you Jordan I enjoyed it very much!
Your videos are very interesting. Louie was a funny guy. Thanks for the video.
good seeing you two........here as always in tacoma washington.....
I learned a lot from this. I am sorry for his sisters. Katie is brave wearing a bears hat in Viking country. Major rivalry. Both in the same division.
Omg I didn't even know he died 😳
Louie also wrote a book called goodbye jumbo I also saw his last comedy special he taped before he died and it was good
My Mother grew up with his family in the Roosevelt Projects .
Wow never knew he was almost in Perfect Strangers. I was a teen when that was on and was a fan of the show. I can’t really imagine him in it. As Bronson Pinchot was so over the top I don’t think it would have worked with another comedian.
Louie Anderson also had a brief, uncredited part in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Louie Anderson seemed to be a very happy person to be around. Wish there were more like him. RIP Louie !! :~)
I saw him do stand up in Minneapolis in the mid 80s. Freaking hysterical. I still remember some of the jokes!
He went to a friend of mine's work in my hometown and got to meet him and said he was a cool guy
He was also really good friends with singer Eddie Money and his family.
Great video.....thank you.
He was very funny.
Louie was definitely coming back to MN on a regular basis, and was never too big for flyover land. He'd appear on the lame local afternoon chatfest occasionally, I think he even served as a guest host. This stuff would have been beneath many other established entertainers, but not Lou.
One place you have to check out is the Vince Shute wildlife sanctuary in Orr Minnesota I have heard it’s worth checking out
Rip to the funniest guy Louie Anderson
Loved Louie Anderson / Big Loss / Thank You Both
Where's Jaw at Jordan
In the car
He was so funny, the cartoon was hilarioussssssss.
That will sounds sketchy
