The Garnet Silk song was “it’s growing”, I recognised it straight away when with video started! Very humbling advice in terms of being a « master » ! Bless 🙏
Thanks breddrin! One love iyah ❤💛💚
And it's true what you said about a lot of the tutorials on youtube of reggae from people who don't know reggae...LOLOLOL. I see all kinda craziness with people playing upstrokes. People look at reggae and say it's easy yet so many of them on CZcams can't even play it. Other than your channel, the other people I respect, who know what they are doing are Tuff Lion, Steve Golding, HowtoPlayReggae and a few others. Good job.
Tuff lion and Steve Golding are two veterans I show massive respect to. These channels that are teaching the wrong stuff is very misleading. They are destroying raggae
To me bro man you are my best.from Zambia Africa

It's a hearing thing when non reggae musicians do tutorials. I say Cho cho my gf keep saying Chow chow. I asked a Jazz Musician to solo over a Dennis Brown tune because he thought since Reggae seems easy he could do it. What he didn't appreciate was the fact that Reggae is driven by Bass, Drum and Culture so he failed. You have to know Patois.
seen it happen many times man! they underestimate the music and culture without even taking the time out to understand it!
@@XyanGuitar Yeah, need to go back and listen to artist like Alton Ellis, Delroy Wilson, Horace Andy etc then take it from there as the list goes on. When they find singers they like they can just imagine them singing a melody and play that. In my case Tenor Saw, Nitty Gritty,, Sammy Dread, Michael Prophet, Barrington Levy, Courtney Melody and Conroy Smith and suchlike.
Coulda put ya on the spot bredda...for the d brown why baby why.....😭😭 Nx time🎸🎸
🤣🤣 next Saturday breddrin
Greetz Bredren. Any. how you could come with some Reggae Guitar into Funk tutes? Stevie onto early Catfish and Jabo into some Jackson Five into same early EWF. Straight onto the Revolutionaries at Channel. Meanwhile keep the 🔥 burning for the true Reggae Guitar groove and maybe show some amp settings you personally dial up. One God Aim and Livity. That Rockers Guy.
Nuff Raspect Lion Keep it goin
