Man I love stealth camping, I go to a near nature reserve and always find it funny nobody knows there's a man wipping up bacon and eggs 50m away in a bush. makes you feel like a kid again.
Nice one dan, good camo in the opening scene 👍🏼 will have to check out the fox footage!
Thanks for sharing mate
Ash
Hi Ash thanks for watching mate
English Woodsman you’re welcome mate, catch up soon
Ash 🏕
Great vid again thanks for sharing and you showed your true character when you said you would share your food with anyone that came over TOP MAN
Hi mate I would share my dinner 🤔🤔 but only a spoon full or two 😂😂
Every little helps,is TESCO,. Tapping the back pocket is, ASDA.love the videos!
👍👍👍👍
I much prefer to use my bivi and tarp for stealth camps Dan. It let's me keep an eye out of whats going on around me. As for the camp net, if I use one I try and prop it up with different length sticks to break up the straight lines which otherwise stick out like a sore thumb in the woods! Good idea cooking early on, keeps you hidden later on.....
Cheers pal, keep safe....
Hi mate thankyou for watching
Excellent for getting this in before lockdown! I had similar planned until the law was made, so obviously currently illegal. Glad you managed in time. All the best!
Hi mate I only one camp video left to upload now, so I hope we come out of this lock down fast
@@englishwoodsman indeed. It’s such a pain!! ATB.
You could always just go out and do it anyway. You're not harming anyone.
Loving your films , your passion is infectious, keep them coming
Hi mate hopefully a new video is coming midweek
many a time i've gone to a harbour position, set up basha in the dark, in woods and forest, almost pitch black, everything done by hand. its a skill !
Thank you for watching mate
Nice one mate, good to see you’re getting out there right now. Top video always enjoy these 👍🏻
Hi mate this video is 4 weeks ago
@@englishwoodsman got ya mate 👍🏻
My best stealth camp was on a traffic island on the A38 in Staffordshire. Was quite wooded so In the middle I was invisible to passing cars :)
Great video I was so excited I'm behind you all the way mate 😊👍❤️🔥
Thank you mate
Absolutely Ace dan, your adventures are great watches i really love ya stuff, the scrim camo netting is good from a distance it disrupts the camp outline blends you in.i had the ultimate stealth camping experiance for 5 nights escaping across france in 1984 deserting from the french foreign legion.sleeping rough,in the hills and forests from south to north.im partially disabled now and your channel is helping keep me sane.love it.thanx dan...
Just be careful the farmer doesn't go over you in his tractor because he does not know you're there.
😂😂😂😂 I alway phone him mate
@@englishwoodsman Good man,haha
Nice video, Like n.755 and Greetings from Italy :)
Good little adventure, my stealth camps takes me high up in the tree canopy. No one will ever see you they never look up unless you give them a reason. Look up Tree camping its a little unorthodox I use a R.A.D. system on a single rope and hang a hammock and sleep in the tree tops.
That looked like fun Dan. Thanks for filming, Andy
Hi Andy thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
been out in all night storm in scotland with bobcat - inner got a bit damp like yours but wow i was suprised at how well it held up and my down sleeping bag was dry apart from usual very light surface dampness - oex gets a thumbs up from me ,
Great video dan..Out of all the camping i do its the stealth camping that gives me a proper buzz..😁😎
I love the buzz as well mate
Dan, don't forget face camo👍
Always remember Shape, Shine, Shadow, Silhouette, Sound, Movement.
Stay well atb Taff 🤠
Thankyou mate
You forgot spacing
@@shropshireladoutdoors743 lol it's been awhile 👍🤣🤣🤣
@@Taffwildmanofthewoods sound isn't in it its spacing. well was in the eighties when I was in
alcohol stove is good to eliminate smoke signals, camo tarp is perfect
I think it would be easy to make a camo tarp, maybe attach some empty beer cans and newpaper so it looks like proper countryside fauna.
Last time out, was 30 yrs ago, forgot my sleeping bag, drove 3 hours home to get it, but ended up sleeping in the car anyway.
I definitely like the idea of the Camo net. It's not such a big problem in fading light, but in the morning, you might benefit from that extra thing to break up the outlines.
Nice one Dan! Loving the stealth camp videos.
Thankyou for watching so soon mate
Excellent video.cracking stealth camp
ATB Dan.👍👍👍👍
I have the same camo net I use. Great piece of stuff. I also use a trail cam and bait to film animals.great fun,
Hi mate I have not used my trail camera for months now
Great video as always Dan. Keep up the great work mate
Will do mate thankyou for watching
Tesco’s every little helps Asda price more reasons to shop at Morrison’s great video as always i really enjoyed it 🎄🎄🤶😎
As a much older fellow with military experience i am going to suggest your cam net looked like a cam net draped over a tent !
That is not what you are looking for, stretch your net over your tent. bivi or vehicle as low as possible disguising the shape rather than draping your net. You might like to add some para cord at various places on the net to secure on tree/bushes. Feel
sure you will crack it if you look at some cammo videos you will find on you tube. Enjoyed watching, Mike County Durham
We can't win them all fella, the whole stealth thing is a very opinionated subject and you won't please everyone. My opinion of stealth camping is not being seen and that's exactly what you achieved 👍
I put my down sleeping bags in the tumble dryer on synthetic setting if they get damp and occasionally to refresh them a bit. It dries & floofs the feathers up like you wouldn't believe. Have trouble getting them back in bag afterwards.
You forgot two of the most important things of all. Cheese and a crusty bread!😁
Enjoyed your video again mate, not a Criticism but a tip. The Cam net is used to hide the shape of a manmade structure that stands out in Natural habitat, use sticks and twigs and twine to break up the outline of the Tent. Please dont think this is a criticism , but a helping hand if your going to extend your Stealth camping mate. The British Army 7, S's steps to Camouflage and Concealment.Shape,Shine,Shadow,Sillouette,Sound,Speed,Surroundings avoid and adapt. Well done though mate enjoyed your Video and Channel. Regards.
Brilliant video. Love the net over the tent. I would black out the writing on the side of the tent with a marker pen or a few dabs of green and brown acrylic paint from a model shop. Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to watching more.
I like the camo tarp.
Good video mate.. love the night vision & trail cam 👍🏾
Hi mate it's something new I am bringing to the channel
@@englishwoodsman Nice one! Looking forward the footage from your trail cam, be good to see the night scope in action too if you can fathom how to do it.. lol
Keep up the good work 😊
Your stealth camp videos are my favourite Dan. Entertainment at its very best 👍
Hi mate I am glad you like the stealth camping video's, what do you think about the stove videos
@@englishwoodsman yeah they're interesting too. Your reviews seen very balanced and informative. I've just bought a BushBox LF. I'm very new to bushcraft and camping but I'm learning a lot from watching your channel. Thanks mate.
Another enjoyable night under the stars pal, shame you never used the original tent you had in mind as it would have been better suited with it being lower and more compact but never the less make great viewing as always! Keep it up pal and looking forward to many more once we are out of lockdown 💪🤜👍
Hi mate next time I will double check the tent 😂😂 Thankyou for watching
Sometimes when pitched under trees and it has been raining, when the wind gusts it blows the rain drops that have settled on the leaves and branches, causing them to fall like a small light bursts of rain accompanying the wind even though its not actually raining. Some trees can drip rain water for hrs after its stopped raining especially if its breezy. Another great video. I do love a good stealth camp.
Another excellent video. When and if I recover from the long Covid I plan to do some stealth camping next year. Your chicken looked great but my taste buds are now knackered, tomatoes and potatoes taste very bitter. Fry ups are ok though.
Another brilliant video. Great way to spend a Sunday watching it.
😂😂😂😂
Just a tip bro, when you put your chicken in the pan, lay them in one at a time and stop 🛑 pulling and tugging at them. LEAVE THEM ! At least 3 minutes before checking for any browning, and only when you have some colour on it should you turn it. Because by stirring and cutting and sliding it around you are reducing the temperature of the pan. That causes the chicken to stew in its own liquid. That’s all the juice wasted.
Brown both sides after seasoning, then slice into strips, then add to your sauce. Trust me you’re killing it over again, once when it was dispatched and once when ya cook it.
Oh and try low key red, or green light to cook with, it’s not so readily visible.
Another tip. Look at wood pigeon shooting hides, they use poles, either metal or from say hazel shoots, (with permission) 6-7 poles and a net to drape. You put your tent up against hedges, hide in front and even over the top. You won’t have anything on sight nor actually touching your tent.
I’ve used these methods since the 70s and if you get permission you can build hides and leave them. Then just pop your tent up when you wish.
Personally I would prep my food and take it with me. A quality heavy duty flask can hold fantastic hot stew, cooked meats in gravy etc.
This is advice based on experience. Take or leave xx God Bless x
Great video mate, always fun watching these stealth ones. Do you have a link to that night vision scope? Cheers
Good camp buddy .. that wind ...cooking was nice luv chicken ... cheers Chris & Sam
Hi mate thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment
I have a Parachute Regiment ghile suit and after a hour wearing it i've lost 2 litres of sweat i think the suit is late 80's, oh and by the way how's your fold down fire coming on because when you start banging them out i want one. Mint channel m8
Hi mate the stove will be coming soon but all this lock down shit as stop it for now
Hi Dan 👍😁. I would use red light for stealth camping mate. If someone is walking around they will not see you. Atb ta you an family. 😁👍🇬🇧💪. Always keep positive mate.
Using cam nets would be better lower down smaller shelter ...tip from an ex service man use different size branchs to push cam net out in different directions to distort shape off tent
The camo is more natural to the eyes dose not feel crowded in small woods and the Orange and white ones make it feel crowded.
Great vlog, great fun. It was Asda’s by the way😂.
👍👍👍👍
You know loads of blokes are gonna bugger off overnight now don't you?
Why??
Nice, easy, loving it
Nice one Dan. I’m off to find your Fb group to see your trail cam footage now. All the best fella. Paul.
Hi mate it's on the group now
The camo cover is very nice! Enjoy your videos, and you dinners look amazing. Thanks for sharing! :-)
Wouldn't have hurt you to throw some handfuls of leaves over the net too, just to make it blend with the leaf litter around you. Maybe put a couple of branches under it too, break up the sillouhet of the tent shape.
Hiya Dan mate another good video from you mate hope all is well and okay take care of yourself mate
Hi mate thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment
Great video that's is a great little tent worth every penny I did the pennie way there and back this year with no problems you can even set it up as a tarp without the inner and its one pole set up is so quick to pitch thanks again for posting bren
Mr Fox strikes again...better seeing him than someone standing there..
When it’s windy, you almost want to wear ear plugs but you want to be aware of what out there too.
Take care🏕 🇨🇦
Hey great video Dan ....
Thankyou mate
Nice one Dan, the good thing about the leviathan is its hydrophobic, so if it does get wet it will still keep you warm, atb Paul 👍🏕️🏕️🏕️
Hi mate I was so warm I unzipped my bag 😂😂
@@englishwoodsman aye its some bag eh, don't think there's a better bag on the market for the money, keep up the good work mate, atb Paul 😊🏕️🏕️🏕️😊
Good lad ! I have been watching bushcraft - stealth - camping vids etc for ages - been living in Yorkshire 4 years and it was great to see someone more local doing it ! subbed
Nice one Dan, I'll come and share your lunch when you have steak mate. Camo net would be good looser like you say, it is freaky weather out there this year.
Hi mate I'll put a steak on now for you 😂😂😂
keep them coming dan they keep us going till freedom day the 12th
peace pall
Stealth camping means also no smell of fire or cooking food around. Not only camouflage wear, net. Maybe instead of tent >> Bivy Bag. This means a real low profile.
Nice 1 Dan mate 👍👍👍
Thankyou mate
Another great video well worth watching pal thinking of doing a bit of wild camping next year learned a lot watching your channel 👍
Hi mate you will learn more when you are out doing it your self
I like his sneaky jovial attitude. It's like it brings out the human instincts to not be seen while hunting
Gets a bit colder up here in Scotland m8.. If you want it really cold.. Head for Braemar.. 🥶🥶
I use the mil-tec recom one man tent in fleck pattern with camo net. It was that camouflaged i went for a piss i haven't seen it since 🤣
Great video again mate all the best 👍
Another great video , were going into summer down under so fire bans now in place , no camp fire at night it's just not the same
Hi mate thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment
ayup dan, another brilliant vlog,i love them,it wouldnt be the same if u didnt cook on ur vlogs, looking forward to the nxt 1,stay safe buddy
Hi mate I have one camp video left to upload, let's just hope that the lock down is over soon
@@englishwoodsman yeah lets hope so but most importantly to stay safe and well
That stove and fuel works well used many time now
nice one
Thankyou mate 👍👍👍
Binge watching ur channel keep up the good work pal
Just watched your video didn't see you once your good at this stealth camping🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Nice video! Maybe green or brown guy lines would be better. Love your channel.
Brilliant lad .
Thankyou mate
As for stealth I use two camo nets one like yours ( green and one brown mixed together works well. N Joy mate
Great coming along on your adventures, as always great content and a genuine assessment of what’s happening. Keep them coming, thanks for sharing.
I think maybe ditch the camo netting and use what's around you. Keep it up good buddy. :)
One non stealth part of that tent setup is the apparently white cables which are part of the tent. If you could color those camo colors that would help.
Hi mate I need to change them to black or dark green
You seem a genuinely nice bloke. Great channel.
Shouldn't really have anything resting or rubbing the tent fella as that knackers the waterproofing on them and will make it leak bud!!! Another good vid fella in the win column !!👍🏻😊😊🙏🏻
Great Down to earth video, I think its good to use a camo net even if you don't need it, its all part of the enjoyment, Great stuff
Great video Dan, I'm just in the middle of uploading a video of the OEX bivvy bag, I've give you a mention in there! The Pocket tapping is "adsa price" and tesco is "every little helps"! That bit cracked me up 😆! Keep up the good work pal nice entertaining watch !
Love the bobcat tent personally. Works great with the oex tarp for extra space and keeps rain off tent.
netting helps disperse the shape of your tent and conceal the location better from a distance.
Good one today, nice one buddy keep it up
Thank you for watching mate
Keep up the good work mate, you always make me laugh and we all need some of that at the moment
Good vid mate food looked spot on and nice set up for a stealthy camp mate thanks for sharing atb Dafydd
Thankyou for watching
You can light dragon fuel with a fire steel 🔥
Yes mate
“Didn’t think to pour the fat out” not “thinking” seems to be a theme in these vids 😂
looks like a tent with a camo net over it .... great video
Mate obviously it isn't great for filming, but for when you're not filming and need to use light, use RED light. Much less chance of someone seeing it and you won't get light blindness when you turn it off and go back to the dark.
Great video. Seen it before but like rewatching some videos
Very stealth great video again mate always are!!! Guy lines might give you away I'm probably being a picky twat all the best marra take care mate stay safe 👍🏕️
No mate you are right 100% 👍👍👍👍
loved it dan shared to fb group love watching your vids
Great idea to use the camo net. Keep up the good work love your videos
Love your sense of fun Dan
Great vid try making a stew before vacuum pack it and use a flameles ration heater 🍻
Nice idea
its tesco and they are referring to their grab for profits
I have used camo netting over my tarp but it's only useful around dawn and dusk
